I never felt bored and always looking forward to my next work out. Felicia worked with me to fine tune that meal plan tailored to my dietary needs and fitness goals. I really appreciate that she paid attention to all my concerns and how my body reacted as she challenged me on every work out. I originally decided I wanted to start with personal training to focus on weight lost and a more structure work out plan but got sooo much more out it! starting from proper form to the learning the importance of self care such as streching, mobility excersises and amazing benefits of yoga! :) I'm so grateful with how much care and dedication Felicia put into our sessions and would recommend her services to anyone. Overall would give 6 stars if I could Thank you so much!

I wanted to do strength training but was never sure which equipment or weight to use. As a result I have always felt intimidated and overwhelmed, but Brandon patiently showed me the basics and now, believe it or not, I honestly don't feel overwhelmed or intimated at all; I actually enjoy going to the gym! Brandon studies your each and every movement to make sure you won't get injured. The devil is in the details, mindlessly lifting weights, rinse and repeat will not get any results; it's more likely to lead to injury. Brandon is also very easy to work with and can tailor the workout plan specifically to your needs. He cares more than just the "gainz" and wants you to be able to practically use your new found strength or take off in an instant with your new found agility should the need ever rises; his training is multi-dimensional. Speaking of multi-dimensional, Brandon and Felicia also do meal prep and suggestions so you can fine tune the meals to ensure the hard work isn't going down the drain when you eat. They offer blading services as well, which, after good workout session, really helps to relax the body and aid recovery. If you have always wanted to be healthier but just don't know where to start and feel lost, give Built By Intention a shot. I have never thought in a million years I would employ trainers services but I am so glad I took a chance on Brandon and Felicia; I have never felt more capable with my body or more pleased with my improved health. People neglect their bodies and spend money on shiny things, but when their bodies fail, all the shiny things in the world all of a sudden seem so irrelevant. As someone who is diagnosed with gout, I can happily say it no longer is an issue for me since I have trained with Built By Intention; as long as I keep on exercising and have the diet in check, I can still have a quality life. Thank you Built By Intention!

This is going to be a personal and detailed review, so I'm going to start with my physical and…read moremental condition before training with Dan, and ending with where I am currently. I was raised in a traditional Chinese family, where the parents focused strictly on studying, piano, tutoring, and no video games. I was definitely pretty good at all, but I was not enjoying anything that my parents made me do. I wouldn't say that I grew up miserable, but I was definitely confused and didn't know what the point of "ME" was since I was forced to do what my parents wanted me to do. In high school, I participated in lots of clubs, got really high GPA, and student body president, blah, blah, blah and I ended up in a top 20 university. Here's where the story gets interesting. After I left home and started living by myself, I tried lots of things in college. Drugs, alcohol, partying, just everything a young college student would do. But the worst of all, was I blew up. I gained 80 pounds in my college life. My physical condition was in horrible shape, and it had a dramatic effect on my mental condition. I was depressed. I came home after college trying to start or pick up my life before I left for college. But I was just in bad shape. Then I met Dan during my junior year coming home from college once, and we trained on and off. But it wasn't until after I came home after graduation did we start training consistently and effects where shown. What Dan differs in training is that he really helps you with your mental state. He listens to you each day and focuses on you each training session so you don't have doubts. Fast forward 1 year, now it's 2018. I've lost 80 pounds. How I did it, I'm not gonna go into details, because that's my journey and I don't want to spoil it for you if you train with Dan ;) But if you have lost hope and stopped believing about weight lose, just give Dan a try. Trust me. It will be worth it:)

However, after meeting Dan, I knew that I was going to gain so much more than just a toned body. Dan not only trained me so that it was ideal for MY body, but he also taught me very valuable tools that I can use during my everyday life. For example, I learned that working out is so much more than just having "a butt and abs"; it has so much more to do with your mindset and attitude. Through Dan, I've learned to have a calmer peace of mind and to actually get excited to work out, as well as eating healthier. Now, I'm about to start my second year of college and I can still say that after training with Dan for two summers, I still learn something knew about myself every time I work out!
