Everything was very tasty and it looked like a good family place. Tables were always five or six people at a time. I had the knodel which tasted to me like really good thanksgiving stuffing. I also tried some of the roast and schnitzel that my friend had ordered all very light and hearty at the same time. Best German we've had in Germany so far.

They truly are steak experts...my filet was seasoned and cooked perfectly and it was one of the best cuts I've ever had. As for the rest, the sweet corn side (blanking on the actual name) was quite good as well. I thought the mashed potatoes with truffle were too garlicky but my wife loved them. The beer selection is rather limited but the wine selection is quite good. My wife had a Malbec that she said was terrific. For an appetizer, we had the fried Italian cheese, which was tasty but not what we were expecting...it was cheese with spices melted in a small skillet with crostini. Great steak tartar and burger, lachs tiradito was also very tasty. The wines were pretty good, even the cognac we had for desert.
