I have visited this KFT location a couple times. While the drinks are consistently good, there is always an unpleasant smell every time we visited. When we asked the staff about it, they said it was the grease trap from next door (Iron Age) causing the smell. I typically order the Honey Milk Tea w/ boba. The boba is chewy and the drink itself is tasty. Interior is spacious with lots of tables, making it an ideal place to hangout with friends --if not for the persistent odor. I really hope management addresses this since it detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience. read more

The KFT I frequented back in Arizona was so small that when I entered this location in Mall of Georgia, I was so surprised! It looked new and clean. There were so many seats! Kung Fu Tea was very busy on a Sunday. They have a huge variety of drinks available and lots of toppings to choose from. We choose to place our order at the kiosk. We ordered 3 Pink lemonade, 2 with yogurt and a passion fruit tea. The wait was about 15 mins. There was no seats available because of how many customers they had. They also closed off half the seating area. No tables we're available. They provided some chairs. My drink was very sweet. Next time I have to remember to only get 50/75% sweetness. read more

We had a taste for this, if you can imagine that. Whenever we get bubble tea, we laugh, remembering Jo Koi the comedian talking about the "black balls". This place had a selection that caused us to take 10 minutes deciding on what to get. Seriously! A huge menu of drink options. It was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered a mango slice with popping balls. My wife ordered a red bean matcha I think. Both were outstanding. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is, they have room for seating, and even have tables and chairs. It's just still blocked off as if COVID was still an issue. The bubble tea here is always pretty solid. I go for the oolong milk tea (they use nondairy creamer so this is great!) Its a decent strength in tea taste and decent boba pearls. There seems to be less and less boba which is a bummer. The speed of service is alright and the tako yaki/fried squid balls were not bad as well. read more

We happened upon this place after going to iron age. Really like this place. You can't sit inside and there's only a couple of tables outside to sit at. I do think it's a little bit overpriced. It takes a little bit a time for them to prepare the drinks but it's not too long. They are fairly busy. They do sell mochi ice cream however it's pretty expensive. I know they get it shipped in from somewhere else so they have to make a profit but just a heads up it's not cheap. Got the taro with Oreo and boba which I liked a lot. Overall a really good place to visit. I would definitely come here again. They have lots of varieties of drinks which I really like. The staff is nice. Cute place for friends or a quick date. Kung Fu Tea, you're making me obsessed. I have to admit I have spent many days telling Anthony (my boyfriend) nah lets not go to KFT in Duluth due to the long lines. But when they opened one in my backyard, I had no excuse. They make your order right away and the staff couldn't be even more helpful. His brother raved about KFT and I really thought maybe he's misinformed or just tea crazy. When I first heard about Kung Fu Tea I was so confused. What's with all the hype about a little spot that just sells tea?! Why are there lines?? Then I finally tried it and everything makes sense now... THEY ARE SO GOOD!!! I've never had so much enjoyment in just a cup of tea. They brew it for hours, mind you. This ain't your usual average refreshment though. First off, their menu has so much to offer in all the different ways they can make your tea combined with a variety of toppings! The milk cap is on of my favorites! You gotta make sure you shake up your cup before poking your straw in though, otherwise all the foamy milk is stuck at the top. It's an interesting science, the milk is slightly salty which adds to the flavor. I've had the matcha milk cap (there's no sugar in this at all but you don't need it if you're a matcha fan like I am) and the winter melon milk cap. The Matcha is wonderful! The winter melon is inexplainable... just a cup of sweet goodness. Another favorite is the yogurt teas!! They use yakult yoga for this creation, WHO DOESNT LIKE YAKULT?! It's like my childhood drink in adult form! Try it!!! I always ask for less sugar with my orders because if I go full blast 100%, it's way too sweet. They offer diff percentages of sugar like 70, 50, 30, so you just gotta figure out which one suits you. I also really like the atmosphere at this location, so modern, cozy and spacious. I've heard that Kung Fu Tea tastes different depending on the location. I have a friend who says the Kung Fu Tea in Chicago is the best while another friend swears by the Kung Fu Tea in Duluth. I definitely give mad props for Kung Fu Tea for opening up another store in Buford, though; it's a huge game changer for the Buford food scene and people don't have to drive so far for good boba tea anymore. Some friends and I actually visited Kung Fu Tea the night before their official soft opening days and the interior is cute and clean. It feels much bigger than the Duluth location and there's definitely a more diverse crowd because of the location. I didn't notice any minimum fees for credit/debit cards but I bought two drinks just in case. I'll definitely have to check and see if there is a minimum, like the Duluth location. Like typical boba trends these days, toppings cost a few cents each and you can customize the amount of ice and sugar/sweetness in your drink, which is nice but can take a few tries to find your perfect mix if you're new to the boba scene or aren't a regular of Kung Fu Tea. Personally, I like the Kung Fu Milk Tea with regular ice and sugar and boba pearls. Also, if you're a student and you're looking for a place to study or do homework, I wouldn't recommend Kung Fu Tea simply because the atmosphere here is more of a hangout place and the noise level/music can be distracting. If you're looking for someplace quieter, Barnes and Noble is a much better choice. TLDR, Kung Fu Tea is definitely blowing up in the Buford food scene so stop by and check out the hype. read more

If you're doing business with a corporation that is so restrictive they would strip your franchise for putting 2 shots of espresso in a drink, maybe the issue is your business model rather than your customer. Pure disappointment. I tried to order a matcha drink with a shot of espresso and was informed they couldn't do that. When I asked why, I was given a really sputtering, unclear answer that finally ended with "we're instructed not to." What? You can add a shot of espresso to a coffee drink... but not to a non-coffee drink. Seems pretty arbitrary to me, and it doesn't seem like a good way to keep customers. I would not recommend this location due to lack of customer loyalty. My daughter accidentally ordered from this location instead of the location we were by. I called the store after she placed the order and was told the drinks were already made. The associate checked with manager regarding a refund and I was told their policy to not give refunds. They care more about the bottom line than their customers and customer satisfaction. They didn't care that my family spends about a thousand dollars a year with them. They kept the $21.47 and lost our business. Their app needs to be improved for all customers to confirm the order and location before paying. I guess they may not want to if this how they scam consumers out of money and say it's your mistake/fault. We should not support local businesses that have this mindset. read more

My friend Bethany and I decided to go here after dropping clothes off at Plato's Closet. I've been to a Kung Fu Tea closer to my house but this one was completely different. The store was brighter with fixtures and furniture that was aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. The set up was different as well because most of the seating space was small tabes in front of a long bench on the wall with chairs on the other side of the tables. I ordered the taro milk tea because I know that specific milk tea will taste good no matter where I get it from. Bethany decided to get the strawberry lemonade they were advertising on one of the posters next to the register. While waiting for our drinks I went to the restroom and I was pleased by how clean it was. After taking pictures of the drinks and the inside, I asked one of the workers for the wifi. She told me the wifi password was on the top of the receipt and although I was surprised they didn't have open wifi, it was smart of them to make the password available to all the customers. It was a good find and I want to go to other Kung Fu Tea locations to see how they differ from each other. read more

We picked up our order that we placed online but the tea was missing the boba (it was listed on the label but was not added to the cup). I brought it back in and they said they would fix it without any fuss. However they just put boba in a separate cup and dumped the existing drink in. Not a huge deal but now the cream layer is mixed with the tea. It would have been better to make a fresh one but this isn't too terrible, certainly it was still a good drink. The real issue is that I watched the person that remade the drink (and many other drinks for different patrons) and her mask was pulled down to her chin so that her entire mouth and nose is exposed. I politely asked if she knew her mask was not on and she was incredibly rude to me. One other employee (not actively making drinks at least) had no mask on and the person taking orders had his mask pulled down exposing his nose. There is another boba place open in Bufford called King Kong Milktea & Juice. We will try them next time. read more
