Took a look at their website and found out about their name: "Kumori means cloudy in Japanese. But instead of grey and gloom, it represents all the sunshine and positivity that comes after the rain"
I'm a fan of Japanese bakeries, so we ordered through foodpanda:
- Hanjuku original - buttery ICK!
- Hanjuku chocolate better than the original
- Butter Rum Yakigashi this was good
Arrived refrigerator cold, so we tried them both cold and thawed out, they tasted better cold.
On another day, I was walking in the mall and found their store. They have an oven on site and you can watch the staff working through a large glass window. It's a cafeteria style set up where you pick up your tray at the beginning of the line, choose your individually packaged items, then pay at the end.
I tried the Fuwari cheese cup. It tasted like a baked cheesecake with a layer of sponge cake. This tiny cup was P60. Definitely coming back to try more of their freshly baked goods. read more
