We did not have good fortune in resolving via phone so we decided to go in-person to the Macys on Queens Blvd after work. There we met with Henry Cepeda in the Mattress dept. He took such time and care, explaining and listening, showing us the product how we imagined it, and pros and cons - which saves us money!! We honestly felt like he really cared about us and making sure we are comfortable with our decision and purchase. Never did he try to upsell us, or pressure us . He even spoke to his manager on our behalf to help us process a change in our order and told us of another discount which we got (which would have never been available by phone or online). This worker was genuine. We could tell he cares about customers and our experience. You are so fortunate to have him on staff. He's why we would go to Macy's. We are sure it was probably close to the end of his workday too, but he never let it show. He said any problem at all we can call him or email him or even stop by and see him. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing. One of the items I purchased--the Ella Marie Triple Glider Power Swivel Glider Recliner--was delivered without a battery pack or charger, leaving the chair dependent on a loose power cord on the floor. This has created a safety hazard in my home, with multiple family members tripping over the wire. When I contacted the store for assistance, I was told the battery pack would cost an additional $125, even though this was never mentioned at the time of purchase. Considering the price of the recliner and the size of my overall order, this was frustrating and felt unreasonable. What made the situation even worse was the lack of support from both the sales manager, Auvi Rahman and the customer service desk. The interactions felt dismissive and unhelpful, which is especially disappointing given Raymour & Flanigan's advertised commitment to exceptional customer care. Because of how poorly this was handled, I even took the step of writing directly to the company's CEO, Neil Goldberg, in hopes that someone--at any level--would finally respond and help resolve this issue appropriately. I genuinely hope Raymour & Flanigan will stand by their reputation and provide the battery pack at no additional cost.
