I had sustained an injury from working out, and was recommended by a friend to go to David. While…read moreit is not close to me, I have family in the area so decided to make an appointment on the way to a visit one day. David took the time to explain to me what he would do, as well as take the time to have me go through various movements to test mobility. If you're expecting a typical "chain" massage place, rest assured that this is 100x better and more individualized. He used different release movements so that my mobility was restored in my shoulder and lower back and even added in a bit of Reiki at the end, which I had never had before. His approach was different than any massage I've ever had, but also the most effective. I walked out and felt like I could move in a way that I hadn't been able to in a week and a half since sustaining my injury. It was a natural high. I would definitely make it a point to stop by for another massage in the future, and found it well worth the drive. Now I have to make an excuse to see my family more just to get a massage!

I had a massage by David and a facial by Monica at Golden Hands while visiting family and friends…read morein NY last week. David's massage was deep and effective (I'm a physical therapist and have a pet peeve about just being rubbed without it causing any actual change). I have been dealing with a cervical disc injury with symptoms down my arm as well as a forearm strain and he was able to work with both, increasing my comfort level while traveling that week significantly. It was also just deeply relaxing and wonderful. Monica quickly diagnosed my skin problem as over-drying (which is counter-intuitive when you're having a break out) due to a different skin care regimen I'd been on lately. She did extractions where I really wanted to see my skin look lighter and cleaner but didn't go crazy with it so my skin was left calm and smooth. The products she uses really helped re-balance my skin and restore that missing moisture.

The treatment was super relaxing as they use head and upper body massage techniques with their 3 step process using three different soups meant to help cleanse, detoxify and nourish your scalp. After the treatment is over, they help blow-dry your hair and then give you tea to drink. They run a birthday special that you get the 60 scalp treatment for free on your birthday by just showing your ID. They also have a special if you bring a significant other or group of friends, where they get a discounted price of $88 for the same treatment. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff also gave me flowers, a cute crown, a coupon voucher for my next visit and some shampoo to take home. Thanks to Julie and the staff for the hospitality!

So when I passed this spa on my commute I knew this was what I was looking for. Nervous at first I was immediately comforted by the soothing music, smells of the homemade oils, and the very calming staff. This experience was something like I never experienced before. It was absolutely incredible. I went for the Abhyanga, which I would recommend. The attention to detail relaxed my nervous system, mind and body. Thanks to the convenient appointment booking tab on the Omage Medispa webpage, I was able to schedule all the services I wanted to have done late at night after the spa was already closed. Pam is very warm and made me feel as if I had known her forever. Let's face it, getting laser hair removal is not a fun, or very comfortable procedure to get done, especially a brazillian, but she made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole time. She was extremely patient and thorough. I was totally shocked at the reasonable prices, and at her honesty. There were a few procedures I wanted to have done but Pam suggested waiting until after summer when I will get optimal results. Before doing the laser on my legs she put numbing cream on my eyebrows so that when she was finished with my legs, I would be all numbed up and ready to go. I absolutely love the way they came out! Not one time did I feel she was rushing me, getting annoyed or frustrated because I would keep looking in the mirror to see how they were coming out! She encouraged me to look at them carefully and make sure I loved the way they looked! I am so happy with not only the services I received, or the extreme reasonable prices, but the entire staff from the receptionist who greets you when you come in the door, to the woman who checked me out when I left! The whole office especially the treatment rooms have a relaxing atmosphere and are absolutely spotless! I will definitely be going back!

The place is easy to find, very clean and stylish inside and the technician was so kind and knowledgeable. However I was disappointed they only do electrolysis on gray hairs only. They tried to explain their policy to me on that but it just didn't make sense since electrolysis is permanent hair removal and laser is just faster way to remove hair but not permanent. Both process sting so it's not the pain that's a problem. Anyways I tried laser for the first time and have setup more appointments in the future to see how it goes. I may stick to laser on my armpits and legs.
