I visited Boyd Generation Cafeteria today and had a disappointing experience from start to finish…read more The young lady who took my order at the drive-thru was polite and professional -- she was honestly the only bright spot of the visit. But when I got home and started going through my food, I realized something was off. I noticed what I thought was an extra dessert in a flimsy plastic container, but when I looked closer, it turned out my baked dark meat chicken was missing -- the main part of my order. I called twice. No answer. Straight to voicemail. Voicemail was full. So I drove all the way back, tried to go inside -- doors locked. Got back in the drive-thru line and explained the issue. Then the woman who I assume was the owner or head cook came to the window, and instead of addressing my concern professionally, she hit me with sarcasm and attitude -- as if I was out of line for coming back for food I paid for. She insisted she personally packed the chicken and tried to make it seem like I was the problem. When I mentioned there was a container in the bag that looked like pie, she snapped that they didn't serve sweet potato pie that day. Eventually, she handed me what looked like a pie container and told me to open it. Sure enough, it was the chicken -- but it was so dry and shriveled, no wonder I mistook it for a slice of pie. At that point, I told her flat-out: I'm never coming back. To that woman -- if you're reading this -- your behavior was unprofessional, your customer service was dismissive and hostile, and your food wasn't even worth the trip. Mistakes happen, but instead of owning it, you doubled down with attitude and dry chicken in a dessert container. Word of advice: stop assaulting your chicken. Inject it with something buttery, juicy, and respectful before putting it out in the world. Because nobody wants to eat food that looks and tastes like regret. I will not be returning, and I'll be warning others to stay far away.

If you have never been, you should certainly try this local fav! Full of fun car related decor, its a warm welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, wonderful food and great prices! They were busy but we were seated right away. Our server, Sierra, got our drink order while we checked out the menu. Almost everyone got steak, except my uncle who got the taco salad. I ordered the Cheyenne Sirloin with sauted mushrooms and onions, a couple people ordered ribeyes and other steaks. The food came out fast, hot and fresh! My medium rare steak was perfect and came with a big baked potato. All the steaks were wonderful and Unc pronounced taco salad fresh and delicious! Besides the terrific food and fun ambiance, what made our visit special was our server, Sierra. She was very friendly, helpful and attentive with order updates, refills and checked on us several times through the meal. Terrific Service! Ted's Garage is definitely a favorite and worth the quick drive up to Clinton! I highly recommend it! Kate the Artist

October 30, 2025. I'm so sorry to write a negative review; I really don't like to complain,…read moreBUT... I had picked LONG 9 for lunch for a monthly lunch meeting with friends as I'd been there 4 years ago and the restaurant was quiet and comfortable and lunch was good. It's still a lovely, quiet restaurant and so nice to be able to hear a conversation....but the food today was horrible!! The waitress was personable and friendly. I ordered the small plate French Dip sliders. I should have refused what came. Menu says "sliced sirloin, carmelized onions...." What I got looked like the scrapings of hamburger bits from a too-hot grill (in fact, perhaps it was, as my friend ordered a burger and it was burnt). The meat scrapings were on 3 Hawaiian rolls with a smattering of grilled onions and cheese to hide it. A bowl of au jus came with it. I did manage to consume some by dipping it in the au jus but that was very salty and I lost my appetite quickly. What a disappointment! One of my friends ordered a hamburger (came with lots of fries); the burger was burnt but she ate parts of it. My other friend ordered salad (it was ok) and soup d'jour. The soup finally arrived 10 minutes after our meal and tasted canned. Her breadstick was hard and inedible in the middle--obviously stale and nuked. Awful! I can't begin to say how disappointed we all were. We left our waitress good tips because it was not her fault. She did offer to bring us something else to eat. We should have taken her up on the offer. Perhaps the "cook" could have made us decent sandwiches to take home? What a disappointment. We'd give it a negative star rating and we are not picky people. I sure would love to hear back from a manager about this!
