I have no clue why I said that but I mean it man. KVUE is the premier news channel in Austin and everyone else is just chopped liver to me. Early AM to late PM this channel is packed with programs that we have grown to love. Who knows how many times have they exposed information that the public needs to know about, I've lost count dude. I don't realize how spoiled we are with news programs until I happen to visit your town famous for it's HUGE ball of twine. KVUE is groovy man and you should watch it just because I said so.

Channel 7 is the only station that has always reported the news as is without a bias towards one side of the story or the other. As a person that works outside for a living, I appreciate the accuracy and frequent weather forecasts given. The morning anchors are entertaining as well. I literally watch 1-2 hours of Fox 7 a day and don't have anything even slightly negative to say about the station. I'm a third generation Austinite and don't ever see myself switching news stations! I attended a fundraising event at KLRU PBS today at the Austin Community College Highland campus…read more I was not aware that KLRU PBS had a space to host a social gathering. The capacity in the main event room was approximately 250. The room had a raised stage with audio visuals and large projection screen. There were 10 persons table with ample room to pass by. During the event there were several stations set up, picture backdrop and a rotating camera station. Within the hallways and the main even space there was plenty of room to walk without bumping into someone. Staff was on hand to direct you or help you with questions. They were all super friendly. I will definitely consider coming to or planning an event here.

Full of half truths and out of context information to send a political message. I have switched to the local NBC. They need the local reporters to have some follow up info to counter balance the Full Measure programming. Stay educated! Understand propaganda techniques. Read a variety of news sources and look for those techniques before you draw any conclusions. Never vote from a position of ignorance.

They do some investigative journalism and get into the issues. Being that they're in the center of Texas politics, it's their responsibility to find out what's going on in the branches of Texas government. I feel that they do a fair job at this. They seem to be a lot more conservative than the populace of Austin is, advocating for a conservative approach to government. There's a lot of ads in here, and it seems to be overtaking the news. I wish they'd expand the cartoon section. I've never subscribed to this paper, but I always read it when I'm in town.
