However, after my recent experience, I am appalled and disgusted by the way I was treated--and ultimately banned--because of a rude, disrespectful young employee who clearly has no understanding of customer service, let alone basic decency. Let me be very clear: this type of treatment would have never happened under the Vrdolyak ownership. Back then, the gym staff was courteous, professional, and actually valued long-term members like me. They took pride in their business and treated every member with respect, regardless of how long they'd been there. Under the new management, it seems that's a thing of the past. It all started with a young employee who, from the beginning, had a major attitude problem. I've seen bad attitudes before, but this one was particularly appalling--eye rolls, curt responses, and an overall disdain for anyone who dared to ask a question or need assistance. I initially brushed it off, thinking maybe she was having a bad day. But after multiple encounters, it became clear that this was her standard behavior. And on one specific day, after yet another rude exchange, I decided enough was enough. I contacted the gym manager, expecting some level of professionalism and a resolution to the issue. Instead, I was blindsided when, instead of addressing the employee's behavior, I was banned from the gym! After 20 years of loyalty, decades of my hard-earned money going to this place, I was effectively kicked out because the management wanted to protect an employee with a horrible attitude rather than hold her accountable for her actions. This wasn't just a slap in the face to me--it's a complete betrayal of the values that this gym used to stand for. They clearly don't care about their long-term members anymore. They don't care about respect, or loyalty, or anything that made this gym great back in the day. It's all about protecting bad behavior from their new, poorly trained staff. CFX Gym has gone downhill, fast. If you've been considering joining, I'd highly advise against it. If this is how they treat long-time members who've invested years into their business, imagine how they'll treat newcomers. I'm beyond disappointed in what CFX has become. Under the Vrdolyak ownership, this kind of nonsense would have been dealt with swiftly and fairly. Now? It's all about saving face for the management and throwing out members who dare to expect decent treatment. What a shame. Avoid this place at all costs.

Sarah was incredibly patient as I messed up every technique I was taught in ways many would not think were possible... In short I was a hot mess. Despite my apparent lack of conditioning and coordination Sarah remained the perfect cheerleader. The fundamental one on one sessions proved invaluable. Other Crossfit gyms I made enquiries with were happy to let me join their classes without completing the one on one sessions. With the benefit of hindsight I was glad I didn't elect that option as it would make for a very dumb decision! The early morning classes range from hard to really really hard. There is no easy days. The classes are small enough that the coaches are always able to keep you on track. If you can't do a part of the workout the coaches are quick to show you a modification. What I enjoy most is the sense of satisfaction you get from doing some especially difficult each morning. There is a strong community vibe here also. Everyone has been very welcoming.

In that time span, I purchased 3 packages of 30…read moresessions ($4,050) and I gifted a package of 10 sessions to a friend ($450) for a total of $4,500 for training. I had also purchased two detox juice cleanses ($200) and 2 4-day order of overnight oats ($80) for grand total of $4,780. The prices have gone up for new customers since then. (30 sessions are now $1800) Something to keep in mind before signing. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance , they will take a session from you. So if you wake up extremely ill, and cancel 6 hours in advance of your session, they will still take the session regardless of how much money you have spent or loyalty that you have shown them. It's their "right" to do so, because it is their business and they can choose to have whatever policy they want... However, it is also the customers right to feel unappreciated and then leave the gym. Which is exactly what I did. Disappointing.

He makes sure that you use proper form and get in a great work out. The prices are very reasonable and the space is always clean. I regularly see them wiping down the equipment. I personally haven't been to a class but from what I can tell it's a very close knit community as I see members having a conversation after they complete a class. The gym is also very professional, all sessions start on time and throughout the sessions the trainer makes sure that you're okay. Jonathan the owner makes it easy to sign up for sessions and is very welcoming. I would highly recommend this gym no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
