Today I have a business trip to go on. I walked in to talk to the man about how the nails didn't last and what he can do to fix them. I was brushed off and told not to come back. I so wanted to give a great review because I called last minute and the guy was so kind to tell me to Come right away and he could take me...big mistake . It's a cute salon but it's only two techs for acrylics the woman and the man. The man literally RUSHED my whole set, he left my nails thick and uneven, legit the worse set experience of my life and I've been getting tips since I was 13. I paid $60 for the shottiest job I ever had. I promise you I went home, cried, ran to sally beauty got acetone soaked them off and then made an appt at a different salon to get them done the correct way. They were kind of rude to other customers and definetly play favorites. No mask wearing; no hand washing, no sterilizing their stuff inbetween client, a global pandemic Didn't get them? The guy who did my set was great. The lady who did the nail art was terrible. She was definitely rushing trying to just finish and asked me to pay before hand (my own mistake). I feel like she was trying to save on polish so very skippy with filling in and even asked her to go over them again because you could see through it. She did and still was very skippy with the polish and very rushed. I was looking to find a regular shop but it will definitely not be this shop. read more

Needs a zero my mother owned a beauty shop down the road from this female turd for 25 years. Female owner didn't like my mother questioning a service( as my mother had called ahead snd was lied to). My mother wanted gel nails snd the woman was putting monomer and powder on her nails ( I gave my license too) so my mother stopped the beach and told her, no, I want get nails , owner told her they are get nails . Onset got up and moved to the next seat yelling NEXT!!!!!! Left my 80 year old retired beauty shop owner mother sitting there ( ride went to store for duration of the service) my mother had to go stand out in the elements because that BEEEEEOTCH CROTCH did that to her. Worst than terrible‼First red flag, no sanitizer available for customer use. I literally had to request it although per state regulations sanitizer is required (COVID-19) Second red flag , pumice tools he used cut 2 of my fingers. I didn't realize there was a cut until I got into my car and sanitized my hands and felt the stinging from the alcohol. I go back in to show him and of course I expect compensation, compassion, an apology and some accountability but instead Twan tried to argue with me(customer). Went back again because they are local & I wanted to get my friend to a pedicure. I've gotten a pedicure from them before & it was just ok. It was suppose to be deluxe, but was kind of rushed, & pricey. My friends sounded the same. I had gel nails that needed to be removed, and the method of soaking wasn't really what I had gotten at other places. It seemed like it took too long to do, and there was a lot of heavy scrapping involved. I didn't even wind up getting my nails done after paint removal, because my friends pedicure was so short, & I only had just gotten my polish off. The guy doing my nails seemed like he was having a rough day. The woman doing my friends pedicure was very nice. 3 words. Don't do it! My nails were uneven and bulky. Didn't even realize it until I got home. Tge husband was super rude to patrons who called with questions while I was sitting there. They try an make small talk about your employment and the pandemic to see if your working to try an upscale you. They are not practicing regular nail salon sanitation so lord knows Covid guidelines aren't being met. I had to say to my tech I'm going to go wash my hands before you begin and after you put the acrylic on. ( she never sent me to the sink) they tried to give me a pedicure with steamed towels that smelled mildewed. In the end tried to charge me $90!!!! The people that work here are very nice and the shop is clean, but my nails came out sloppy and unattractive, I got gel nails and she didn't even put any oil on my cuticles or did she ask me to wash my hands b4 applying the uv gel or polish so my nails looked really ashy and rough, I also asked for square tips and they are uneven . Even tho the people were very nice I'm not sure if that's enough for me to come back, I had to put more work into my nails after leaving the shop. read more

My family and I have been loyal customers to K's Nail since it's open and all five of us know for a fact we'll never go anywhere else. Being that we've been with them for a long time we've seen many situations that occur. These people are friendly and would NEVER, refuse a service to anyone if it's offered at their salon. I myself am Italian and Irish and U find it very sterotypical that the first comment voice these people as people who can't speak english well. Also, anytime I've seen them refuse a service it's always been for a good reason. Other customers and I even applaud them for standing up for themselves. have we forgotten that customers aren't always civil and polite themselves? I find the first comment to be false. My mother is 80 and ill as well. NOT ONCE, have they ever disrespected her. If anything they take extra care if her, helping her walk, put her socks on, and are extremely patient. Let me tell you, my mother's illness makes her very difficult to deal with. Also, they are VERY CLEAN! I ALWAYS see them cleaning their pedicure tubs and instruments. I've also never come across any problems with my nails. My nails always last till my next fill which says a lot considering my hands are constantly in water. I refuse to go back to these people ,the wife overcharged me for 83 dollars and the set I got was 65 and I broke a nail the same day because my set is extremely thin ,when I called to get info on it she said my bank charged the extra and call my bank ...then she said I broke a nail because I got them too long when I've had extra long nails before and never broke one .she was extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that because my husband thought my nails were too thin that he was wrong and he doesn't do nails smh ,she didn't offer to fix them nor fix the overcharge. I will never use their service again ,I refuse to be robbed or stolen from specially from people who refuse to fix what they did wrong read more

The service is good, I like the way my nails look after the gel polish. They don't always do a great job filing my nails evenly. I'm not too happy with the fact that I have to soak my nails in used acetone, that's kind of discusting, not to mention unsanitary! read more

K nails will not fix their work for free. 2 of my nails broke after 1 day and when I went back to get them repaired Twan and Kim wanted to charge $3 per nail to fix. This is not good customer service practice and Twan was quite rude about it. Will not be returning to K nails. read more

My oldest son was getting married this summer and my 77 year old mother, with onset dementia, needed her nails done for the wedding. Also, I'm a mental health nurse for the state of Ohio, so I thoroughly understand the importance of sanitation. When I brought my mother up to K's Nails, I was on a phone call, so let my mother enter the shop before me, after helping her out of my car with her walker and oxygen, to check in. So, I do not believe the shop knew my mother was with someone, or I doubt they would have treated her the way she was. Moments after my mother put her name in, I came in and sat down. My mother was called up shortly, and directed to a seat, while I was reading a magazine. A few minutes later, I heard the nail person raising her voice. My mother was asking for Gel Nails, the tech said , "No Gel. Gel polish only." my mother said she didn't want gel polish, she wanted Gel nails". Escalating, the tech said, "I said! NO! Gel! Nails!, Gel polish, only!!!", and abruptly got up from the work station, called someone on the list and directed them to another chair someone had just vacated. My mother was sitting, thinking about if she wanted gel polish, when the tech started working on the person she just seated, and began working on them with the dirty implements from the prior customer. At which point, my mother said to the women, I guess I'll get gel. The woman was ignoring her, so my mother said, excuse me, are you going to work on my nails? and the woman stood up, pointed to the door, and started yelling at my mother, "GET OUT! YOU TOO SLOW!! iF YOU DON'T GET OUT RIGHT NOW, I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!' It all happened in the space of a few moments, at which point, I jumped up and was by my mother's side. When the woman realized my mother was accompanied by someone, she shut her mouth. I had a few words with her before helped my mother out the door. Everyone in the waiting area was shocked to witness this. I will never have a good word for these @ss-wipes. Do yourself a favor. Any place that doesn't do gel nails isn't worth going to, on it's own. But to treat a disabled elderly person this way is just atrocious! If I could have given a (-) star, I would have. read more
