    Mango peach and cheese

Oh this place is super cute. They specialize in strudel and have both sweet and savory. They have some outdoor dining and a small space inside as well. Amazing variety of strudel. I had the mango peach and cheese. My partner had sour cherry and cheese. Both were really tasty and not too sweet! Good service and they have some lunch meal options too. It's delicious!!

Damn. This place is awesome. It is located in the middle of old town of Innsbruck. You can choose between sitting outside or inside. Sitting outside will give an amazing view in the centre with lots of tourist walking by. Chose to sit inside and its ambiance was superb, and its service was awesome as well. I ordered a strudel and it was amazing, i never had such amazing tasty strudel. I also ordered with a coffee and both together made my day. Definitely come back to this place again!

We stopped here one morning for a quick breakfast before starting the day. The staff is very friendly and the entire cafe smells SO good! I got the vanilla krapfen which was so fresh and soft - the filling was also so good (similar to vanilla pudding). Definitely an Innsbruck must) Also: be aware it is cash only.

Strudel dough has a reputation for being difficult. After kneading an un-yeasted dough, it is rolled out and stretched so thin you can read a newspaper through it. The challenge is in achieving an even, thin dough without any holes. Most people prefer to skip the anxiety of making a strudel dough, but not in Austria, and not in Cafe Kröll. As an Austrian food snob who lived in Innsbruck for a few months and got to taste real, homemade apfelstrudel, I can only say that Cafe Kröll is not just a tourist trap in old town, it's actually very good. There is a wide variety of strudel to taste, from savory to sweet and all are delicious and well done. Service is fast and they are open at 6 AM which is always a plus But if you do happen to stop by that early, don't be confused about all the trucks and cars parked in random spots in front of restaurants and shops! Delivery trucks are allowed to drive inside old town between 6-8 AM. Cafe Kröll is cash only and there's limited outdoor seating. If you're an American looking for deep fried, crunchy and extremely sweet things, this is not the place for you. Even with the vanilla sauce, the apple strudel is not "American-sweet".

Nice cozy cafe with a great strudel selection. Whether savory or sweet, you're sure to find palate-pleasing choice. As it was my first time in Austria I had something of a "strudel dinner" and enjoyed. Both were very good, with a delicate flakiness in the crust. Having attempted strudel dough myself with great frustration, the bakers here definitely know what they are doing!

A strudel with fine pastry. The interior tells lots of surprising stories.

A small pocket of strudel-fueled bliss in Innsbruck. There is a backroom with several tables and bar-style service aligned with the entrance wall (Austrian style, much like croissants and tables on the side-walk are for me the French style). Service was quick, effective, and smiling. The waitress did not mind my German, and we agreed our English was funny. She kept bringing stuff to the table, and my coffee thanked her for it. Overall, loved the experience, will return.

Cute Strudel cafe in the center of town. We came here for a quick snack before our flight back home- the huge amount of pastries in the window just made us go in almost automatically. So we sat down and ordered a salty strudel first - mine was with beef and potatoes and was pretty good, came with a little salad and dressing on the side. My friend had something else (think it was spinach and feta) - but she wasn't very impressed by it. On the sweet section we had a bit more success- the apple strudel was very good and came super hot just like we asked. We also had cremeschnitt cake which was very good once we put away the weird glazing layer on top of it - much better without it! My friend had a great walnut strudel, which looked smelled and tasted great. The service was excellent- our waiter was nice and patient, and even gave us recommendations.. Which is not very common to do around here The prices are not low but tourist-reasonable. The design is very nice and cozy, it's also pretty crowded.. Once a table leaves someone else sits almost immediately, so be patient if you'll have to wait a little- there are not so many tables. I must be honest though... wasn't knocked off my feet foodwise but it was tasty and well made, guess it's not the best in town.. and yet- had a really good experience and maybe I'll get here again to try one of the other strudels- there was a lot to choose from!

A beautiful array of Strudel. There was a sign outside as well saying that they do savoury Strudels...might be interesting...?

Just giving three stars as we only went here for coffee. My espresso hit the spot and the cappuccino my partner had looked satisfactory. However the Strudels did look good and when we did walk past again in the afternoon on a Saturday the place was packed. Also the staff do speak English - I watched one of the waiters serve a group of Americans. Also to those who complained that they didn't speak English - how about you learn a phrase or two of German then! :)

Apple, strawberry rhubarb and veggie. The fruit ones are the best!

Cozy spot to have breakfast or dessert strudels. We sat outside in the fur lined chairs and it's a great atmosphere. Also try the lattes, so good.

This is a to go review, the strudel was good but not warmed up. The service was fast and friendly even though the cafe was very busy. Cappuccino was very good and prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is very modern.

    Ham and eggs

Great breakfast place, open early for those of us jet lagging! Ham and eggs were delicious; so simple, all prepared in a single skillet. Coffee was perfect as well.

    Heaven!

An exceptional variety of strudel and other pastry. Wonderful espresso drinks also. The kirsch strudel with vanilla sauce was amazing.
