I could get convinced that the reviews were trustworthy too. My husband and I were delighted by the quality of the coffee. I must say that i was hoping for a slightly higher "coolness factor" from the cafe interior itself, as there are some really interesting pieces of vintage coffee-making equipment and the barista school within the cafe, even plenty of certificates from numerous barista competitions, including one personal guiness record entry hanging on the wall..... which could all be made into a very hip environment. However, by the end of our stay, I realized these guys are just about making excellent coffee and the rest doesn't matter that much after all... Fair enough!

This is coming from an Asian American who came here as a tourist, so I did the most tourist thing ever and ordered what I knew Austria and Germany was famous for, an Apple strudel. And I'm glad I did because that apple strudel was the best I had on my trip there. I am not a desserts person, so take my view of this pastry with a grain of salt, but I felt that apples were of good quality, the pastry itself did not feel overwhelmingly sweet even with the sauce that comes on the side with. Pastries and coffee are quite lovely, and the selection behind the counter is very visually appealing to look at, and tastes great, too. Minus three stars for the awfully rude service. The servers practically bark at you if you so much as ask a question, or "get the process wrong." We didn't first know how to order here and every time we tried to watch or find out, there was some sort of curt bark from the server - who was just flat out rude. While we enjoyed the pastries and the coffee, and also appreciated the ample bathrooms inside and upstairs, the gruff, unpleasant, non-tourist friendly service leaves a lot to be desired. If you have limited time in Innsbruck, go somewhere else. They don't deserve your vacation dollars here.
