I called Krueger painting before buying a Crowd Cut deal because I needed a few rooms painted before holding an event at my home and said they could probably do the job in a couple weekends. I didn't hear from anyone and two days before they were supposed to show up, I called and apparently the guy had forgotten to ask them to come that weekend. He also told me to call him the next day if I didn't hear anything from him-- that's not my job as the customer. Then, he said they can probably do the job on that Sunday, so I bought $200 worth of paint, and they NEVER SHOWED UP... not even a call or a followup.
I got a credit back from Crowd Cut (and thankfully my friend's boyfriend offered to do the job-- it will be more expensive, but he is reliable and does a good job), but the entire process has been a complete headache. The customer service is terrible (understatement of the year), they're incredibly disorganized, and tried to make excuse after excuse every time I called them, offering no apologies. I suggest just finding someone whom one of your friends has recommended as reliable and does a good job, even if you have to pay more. Now I'm stuck with $200 of the paint that this guy from Krueger recommended buying (when I could've gotten Behr paint for cheaper, which, in my opinion is just as good).
I wish I would've read some of the other reviews before considering buying the Crowd Cut deal - sounds like others had similar experiences. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt-- I gave them several chances to make this right, but they didn't do that. read more
