Great local spot for all things fall. In addition to carrying a variety of mums and other outdoor plants and fall decor, Kroul Farms has a great selection of produce grown right there on the farm - poblanos, banana peppers, egg plant, tomatoes... the list goes on. This spot also partners with many local restaurants in the area, which is really cool (super local!). They recently hosted an event where the restaurants cooked on site, and it was a really great opportunity to meet the family that pours all their love in to the food that feeds our local restaurant scene. This spot is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a weekend adventure this fall.

Cute place. Reasonable prices, local wine (cedar ridge), produce, eggs, honey, and baked goods. Lots of pumpkins and halloween decorations.

Small place with a fun painted modern chic. The smell of a smoker greets you when you walk in (yum!). My friend loves to sit at the bar and he also loves to sit on the high seats, I hate that. Some high seats in some restaurants don't have the crossbar (these did) to put your feet up on and some bars don't have a step or rail to put your feet up on - this is one of them - I HATE that. There were two servers behind the bar, both friendly and informative and happy to help with questions or requests. They seemed to be very busy with to go orders. My friend ordered the smoked salmon pizza. He thought the salmon was too lightly smoked. Otherwise it was very good. We both agreed the crust was phenomenal, top 5 we've ever had. I ordered what the cook called a corn pizza. My friend thought mine looked better than his, I agreed. My pizza was outstanding. Spanish chorizo, local corn, scallions, tajín - the tajín was the coup d'état, it turned the pizza from good to great and as mentioned before, the crust was amazing. They have a core 4-5 pizzas then rotate another 3 special pizzas at different intervals. It wasn't really busy in the restaurant but we did wait 30+ minutes for our pizza. 4/5 will for sure return. The wait for the food and the high seats keep this from being 5/5, the taste of the food is for sure 5/5.

For sure my favorite Mexican restaurant. The staff and the food certainly deliver each time! This…read moreplace is always busy and typically packed. There is no waiting room, so be prepared to stand in the door watching others devour their delicious meal. Their staff is amazing. Super friendly and HARD workers. They are always busy doing something. They have a vested interest in the success and operation in this business. There are times that this place is so busy, that we have to wait a while to get our bill to leave....something I can over-look. Food: I have eaten at a ton of Mexican restaurants. El Sol's dishes are always on point, fresh, hot, and full of flavor. A typical meal can run around $10, however their portion size is huge and we typically need a box to take home. Can anyone say 'leftovers'? While waiting for the food we snack on chips and salsa. There are times when the chips may be a little stale, but that doesn't stop us from eating a gazillion baskets. At times we splurge on the white queso dip. I love it, but the rest of the fam typically just devours the salsa. I absolutely recommend the fajitas. Son and I usually split the steak and chicken fajitas. Make sure to ask for another order of tortillas if you are going to split. There is a small fee for extras, but worth it since we are splitting. Another favorite is the steak quesadilla. This has a large tortilla filled with steak strips and white cheese. Each meal comes with a plate of refried beans, rice, and a little salad with pico. I could live off the rice and beans. The rice is just that, rice and flavoring, no little weird things in it (aka vegetables). My fam and extended fam have probably tried everything on the menu and there has never been a complaint about the food. A couple of side comments. Parking can be challenging. There is a small parking lot across the street, but usually full. The restaurant itself is small. If you have a large group, tables will be pushed together. You will be close to other tables. No privacy if you are looking for something intimate. ****Closed Mondays****
