I was getting ready to go to full check out lane and was told she had to close because her Mgr was leaving on a break about 8 30 n PM on 03/09/26 and to go to self checkout and she would help. I started checking out waited for her over 20mins she went to some one else that came after me I told her I had been waiting for her and voiced my opinion that she should have checked me out on full service lane since I had full basket with over 25 items she then told me that I could check them out since they were my groceries and I was in self check out[she sent me there] I told her I did not get paid for checking them out and she started to say she didn't.but saw the look on my face and did not respond I wanted to say a few curse words but didn't. She called someone else up front and I asked who she called she said it did not matter. I actually checked the full order minus a few items. This type of aggorance need to stop. The last time this happened to me was over ago when the acting Mgr refused to help me. I left the groceries in the cart and walked out which ai should have done to nite. Called the Mgr next day and was advised that anytime a customer request assistance at checkout no matter what time it should be provided and n offered a 25 gift card for my compensation. We made a call a head order for fried chicken and baked chicken over a week ago. They even called us Thursday to confirm we will be picking up our order. When we got to the store to pick up the food, they said they didn't have it. I was shocked, so I tried talking to the woman in the department, but she was no help because she was rude and impatient. She said they didn't have time to work in the order because they had other people to worry about. While we were trying to figure things out, she walked away while we were talking to us. I was completely bewildered with her behavior to the point we just grab what chicken we could and left. read more

I live in Carrollton and I was so happy to hear that Kroger was coming to the Smithfield Shopping Center. Before that I had to go to North Suffolk to buy my groceries. The Smithfield Store is such a disappointment ! They have everything but what you need ! I went there today to get some spiced ham for my lunch. The lady at the deli said 'Oh we don't carry that anymore" I asked her why and she said we were not selling enough of the spiced luncheon meat so we stopped caring it ! I said IF YOU WOULD PUT IN DELI CASE WHERE PEOPLE COULD SEE IT, YOU JUST MIGHT SELL SOME !!!! If I have to go back to North Suffolk to get lunch meat, I might as well do all of my shopping there ! I loved farm fresh when it was located at this spot. I was so very happy to hear that a Kroger was taking it place because I really love Kroger for what they represent. I must say I am very disappointed with the Kroger they replaced: No fresh fish market????? (Who want fresh fish wrapped up) No borshead in the deli Meats department not living up to the standards of Kroger. I must say the fresh vegetables section is better. I will continue to go all the way to north suffolk Kroger instead If you were not going to replace what we had you should have left it along. Thank you read more

Just wanted to acknowledge the young man who is a cashier at Kroger's here in Smithfield. He is the cashier for me during alot of my visits, cause I'm uncomfortable with the self checkout (in any store). I think he was on lane 5 or 7 today during my late morning visit (it was the only full service line open). He us very kind, nice, friendly, and does his job quickly and accurately. I've seen his kindness not only with myself, but with other customers as well. I don't know his name or the name of his supervisor, but he is an asset to your company, he deserves a raise!!!!! He is exactly what Kroger needs as an employee!!!!! read more

This store really lacks when it comes to variety and does not provide the items that you would expect it too. Its frustrating not being able to find the simple things. The bakery is boring and the powers that be have stopped stocking some of the best pies. With that being said,the staff is the best and our always a pleasant experience. read more

I bought one of the Kroger wireless phones and it died after only two weeks. The store would not take it back, they said to send it back to the manufacturer. There is no manufacturer listed on the box, only Kroger. I didn't even get the 30 days monthly service plan before the phone died. It is disappointing that Kroger would sell such junk and then not support the phone when it fails. read more

I'm normally a Kroger fan, but this one is bad. I went there today to get some stuff for salad and the selections are just poor. Soft tomatoes, rotten cherry tomatoes in containers, poor selection of bell peppers. Even the checkout is ridiculous, one cashier open and three or four people standing around trying to get me to use self checkout. I mean you have people waiting to use self checkout and more employees trying to help them then actual people at registers. This is just another way to take someone's job and give it to a machine. read more
