Aldi is amazing I am so glad they came to the states and to the 757 in general They have very Reasonably priced Can vegetables and boxed cereal in fact I'm sure some of their cereal is just as good as the brand name The meats are always in date and cheaper than the competition The produce is fresh and always adding new things Speaking of new things the special buy section is soo cool It changes up Every week and they add cool new finds usually less expensive than somewhere else everything from gym equipment to holiday decorations to shoes and dog toys They also carry a good selection of German products and add to them During the holidays My favorite go to treat here are the coconut dark chocolate almonds :) This week I found a new friend I adopted Darrel the Dino lol he is adorable!!! read more

this has happened 3 times where they refunded us saying they didn't have some items when we did pickup. I got tired of getting told they didn't have any so I walked in and they had more than enough so I grabbed my chicken eggs and lettuce from inside then went back out to get my curbside pickup as the employees are lying about items not being in stock, another reason is why are they fulfilling orders at 11am when my pick up is 4pm-5pm makes no sense. read more

I love Aldi in Suffolk VA but today I am a bit upset over my male cashier. He was about to place on top of my grapes some cans of coconut juice. I stop to correct him and he made some derogatory remarks that I was paranoid. And kept on commenting. Where is the training that Customers are always right? ALDI has finally come to the downtown Suffolk area! Long overdue! Like all ALDI stores, you need a quarter to unlock the shopping carts, but you get it back upon returning the cart. I was happy with my shopping experience; I found the store to be clean and well-stocked. I found every item on my list at very reasonable prices. One of my favorites is the surprise aisle which has an assortment of random things from toys, to clothes, to camping stuff (always changes). The cashier was friendly and chatted while she rang me up. If you're not familiar with this chain, you do have to bag your own groceries, so bring your own bags or they have some available for purchase. I would recommend this store; best grocery prices in the area! read more

This is the closest Aldi's near me. I travel about 45 minutes to get here, but it is worth the drive! Most of the items here you will not find cheaper anywhere else. The store is well stocked, clean, and organized. And the employees are very helpful and friendly! Overall, this is a great grocery store! read more

Aldi is the best place to go! They always have fresh produce compared to Walmart or other stores. They carry a lot of namebrand products which is nice so that I don't have to drive all the way to Walmart as well, but they have a lot of their own store products that are cheaper making grocery shopping much more affordable. A lot of people have left terrible reviews under this Aldi but it's by far my favorite! What a lot of people don't realize is the $.25 carts are there for a reason so that people don't steal the carts. You're not paying $.25 at all... You're just putting a quarter in your cart and then you're getting your quarter back if you return your cart like you're supposed to. They are also known for cashiers to be sitting down putting groceries in your cart and then you walk over to a little bagging station and you bag your own groceries. That is the whole point of all the! These people need to stop complaining because if you don't know what the store is all about and then you complain about it online you're just making yourself look silly! As for the set up of Aldi, it's super easy. As soon as you walk in you are presented with the fruits and veggies and then as you go around towards the back you find all of the bread and chips and deli meats. A lot of people say that the store looks cheap because of the way it's set up but that's kind of the whole point is it not?! I personally love to find my way around and I will continue going here!!! read more

I've been to a number of Aldi's in the area and this one seems to stay pretty well stocked, the people working there are friendly, things are clean...and if you know how an Aldi works you tend to be able to get in and get out without much friction. I'm there most weekends as a result whether it be for myself or running errands for someone else. read more

ALDI - Parking lot of Aldi, pointed up to not include license plates...(I'll figure that out in a bit) - Grocery Near Me - Suffolk, Virginia

Being a curious person I went to this ALDI location to see what it was all about. Outside I spent a Quarter to unlock the cart. Suppose its not all that bad as its one way to make sure people return their cart to get the Quarter back. Inside it seemed like the store was just an unfinished warehouse. The shelves were about neck height and looked as if someone just placed pallets on the floor. Prices were the same as other local stores with the benefit of having to bag everything yourself at ALDI. The cashier was kinda rude just shoveling everything into the cart and when done she grabbed another cart pushing me out of the way so she could assist another customer. Its not a race just relax while I do your job and bag my stuff, GEEZ. After exiting I left my cart in the far end of the parking lot, the hell with that quarter. I wont be returning. read more

I have nothing bad to say about this location. I go to Aldi and Lidl and they are both amazing. What people fail to see or know from lack of reserach or just wrod of mouth is that they prodcuts are not off brand at all. Have you had theri under $3 wine? its amazing! I am a white wine drinker and I faithfully go to this location when im in town on business and my home location (s) and can find the same bottle! Peopel think that I spent a pretty penny on this brand but I didnt. I will add a picture of the nottle later but I habe to give a shoutout to them for coming to this location. People need to knwo about it and I hope they are able to exspereinve it. Remeber bring your own bag ( or pay for them) and have .25 for a cart that you get back when you return the cart. If I could give this store negative stars I would! Horrible employees, the gentleman at the register was bizarre. He wouldn't shut up, I couldn't wait to get out of his lane. Store is horrendously unkept. Empty selves, I felt like I was there to buy empty cardboard boxes. The line was so long to check out, I felt like I was at Busch Gardens, then had to deal with Mr. Wouldn't Shut Up! I asked an older woman if they carried lemon juice she said rudely said "baking aisle" not even looking at me and kept slamming bananas that she was stocking. I have been to Suffolk"s Aldi multiple times and have beeen able to find what I wanted each time. Store is clean and well lit and employees have always been courteous and helpful. For the customers , "not ever coming back ", it will help the rest of us consumers have a more enjoyable shopping experience as these are the ones who interrupt satisfied customers in the aisles to moan and complain. read more

Do not shop at this store! My mother in law, who is taking chemo went in for a few things and noticed a man without a mask. She asked the cashier about the mask policy and the cashier said it did not apply to foreigners! What? When my mother in law asked why not, the cashier told my mother in law that she would have to talk to the manager. Well, she didn't because that would take more time that my mother in law didn't want to take as she is tired. Very poor management and no help from the cashier. New to Suffolk and not knowing where everything is yet I saw the ALDI had just opened....it's close to my house so I went to check it out. The store seemed unfinished and staff was horrible!!! They were rude and lazy! The cashier wouldn't even get out of her chair to move the cart. Then she threw my items in it. I have never been to the store so I tried to hand her my bags, she gave me a disgusted look and tells me to bag it myself over there (points to another counter). I will never go back nor will I recommend this ALDI to anyone I know! read more

If you're not familiar with the Aldi philosophy of grocery shopping, you might be put off by the $.25 grocery cart (which you get back when you return it to the store's entrance area) or the fact that you bag your own groceries (with your own bags or buy Aldi's which are inexpensive), or that they don't carry name brands on products (for the most part) nor do you get multiple choices of brands of a can of, for instance, black beans, etc. I look at it as "stream-lined" grocery shopping. They carry almost all your "normal" grocery needs, but not all, and they don't claim to be a Kroger, Food Lion, etc. I find their prices are always less than full-line grocery stores in virtually every product, sometimes a few cents, sometimes much more, their organic produce is always much less expensive than full-line groceries. This new store has been well stocked every time I have been in there and I have not, yet, come upon any employee who has been grumpy or discourteous, as a previous reviewer. In fact, when I've asked the location of an item, the employee walked me over to where it was, not point or tell me where to look! I find excellent value at Aldi! I still shop at the larger stores for those items I may need that Aldi doesn't carry, along with sale items. However, it's wonderful to have additional shopping options in our area of Suffolk instead of having to go to Harbor View or Chesapeake for decent grocery shopping!! read more
