Nothing…read moremuch has changed with the new owner (which is a great thing), they are super friendly, and there is always a welcoming atmosphere. I've been living out this way 30+ years personally, and it's nice to have places around that make you childhood memories come to life, a place where the generational families, farmers, and residences can be found hanging out while grabbing a bite to eat. Fond memories of my husband and I grabbing a bite to eat with our best friend during the hay bailing season before moving some hay to the house from his farm while he would take a break from the tractor on those humid weeks before his passing. Our family has also stopped in for a quick meal, or snacks and drinks on our ATV or horseback riding rides many times in the past! It's nice to have something like this out our way, and it's close to Sandy Watkins Park! They offer a fairly large menu option as far as breakfast to lunch. Items like the the Breakfast Special, which consists of biscuits, gravy, sausage, and egg all mixed together, double cheeseburger, club sandwiches, grilled cheese, fish sandwiches, pimento cheese sandwiches, B.L.T, barbecue, hot wings, and even basket meals. It's really such a variety, and everyone has something, in my opinion! (I've attached the menu). Also, I want to say everyone who's working when we stop in is always super friendly, and if you want to stop in and take a load off, there is seating for that, too!

My friend tried to order turkey and provolone and the lady responded, "Provolone? We don't gots no fancy cheese. This is America. We gots American cheese." Now if that's not disgustingly hillbilly-ish, I don't know what is. It's silly too, because they have pre-sliced packaged provolone cheese in the dairy case. They charge you for your sandwich based on the weight of the meat so it'll be different every time. Also, my other friend asked how much each deli meat was per pound and the lady responded, "I don't know," in a really nasty way, as if that was the stupidest question a person could ask. Classy, right? The prices of everything else (chips, pickles, candy) is decent. You can also fill up on gas here and get cigars, cigarettes, and the like. It's convenient, but I think I'm just a bit too snobby for this place.

I swear I come to Wonder Whip to order Chili Cheese Fries with a side of burger. It's crazy to me…read morethat I enjoy their chili cheese fries as much as I do. I may just promote this as the new diet trend of 2025. I ordered their jalapeño cheddar burger on this visit and upgraded my combo to a large side and a large drink with an additional upgrade to add chili and cheese to my fries. My order came out quick and the service was absolutely superb as usual. I took my meal to the table and hurriedly opened up my side order and the sight hit me hard. The ultimate order of... Chili...Cheese...Fries. it was a heaping mound of fries with loads of chili and cheese. In approval, I inadvertently exclaimed "yeah" too loud and quickly scoped around to see if anyone might have heard me. If they had, I'd be forced to take the meal to go. A hearty mountain of deliciousness. My mind spun through scenarios on how to take this task on. Hire a Sherpa, get a pickaxe, and a pack mule perhaps? No no no. My food would be cold by the time they arrived. Focus and use what is at hand. The Wonder Whip Angel provided me with a plastic fork like the Lady of the Lake. It came out of my white bag like Excalibur. I should have asked for a second fork in case the first one breaks or wears down. I should've had a contingency plan. Curse me for a fool! But wait. I still had that burger to get through. I hurriedly scarfed it down enjoying every bit of it, but distracted the entire time by the thought of getting to my fries. I made it to the last bite and thanked the burger for giving its nutrients to me. I raised my fork high with my right hand and opened the clam shell with my left. For anyone watching from afar, I'm sure they only saw a small tasmanian devil tornado of activity with arms and legs and chili and fries and cheese whipping about. They'd be surprised to know that amidst that chaos, was a happy man enjoying a great side dish at a terrific value thanks to Wonder Whip. Im full. Now sleep.
