Horrible! Purchased cotton candy grapes which are double price of regular grapes in first place. Then start traveling home an hour away i bite one they are gross like rotten and no they didn't appear that way or I would not have got them. So we turn around and are back to store within 8 minutes and the first guy that checked me out tried to help but had trouble. Then another tried but had to page someone else she tells me sorry cant do nothing till tomorrow I said well I live an hour away and 8.00 may not be much to you but it is to me however I cant just come back tomorrow.......I appreciate the ones that were willing to help...... read more

Kroger on Frederica and Starlite are both ok if you shop inside. The pick up service not so great. The app doesn't always work and with the telephone number no longer available your at the mercy of contacting an associate or walking in for assistance. Both Kroger's are doing this now. This service was useful for so many local shoppers of age and/or disability. The most friendly Kroger in Owensboro is on 60 East. This store is also the cleanest. They do not have a pick up service but it's easily to manage due to the smaller size. Their produce section is absolutely the best hands down. read more

The grocery store is adequate , but the pharmacy is the worst. If you want the run around and making a doctor call to approve an rx they sent over because the dose was stronger than usual (this was for an anti diarrheal med, it a narcotic). They said the pharmacist would loose their license if they filled it. And then saying on a follow up call it's over the counter so my insurance won't cover it. I callled Walmart and sent the rx to them and they had it ready promptly and covered by insurance. read more

Pickup was backed up 5 in a line. Why even reserve spots if you won't fulfill orders?? Waited in line and hour just to be called on the phone and told it wouldn't be filled today. Ummm, I have to have food ready for a potluck tomorrow. Thanks, a$$-- holes. This is about the 5th time this has happened to me. No wonder people go to Walmart. Management won't pick up the phone. The grocery store itself is fine. Best in town. The Clicklist service, on the other hand, is atrocious. I recently had to wait over an hour for my groceries. After a while, one of the workers waved me up into the front spot. I called the number to let them know I'd moved. They said that was fine. Some time after that, another worker came to ask me what name was on my order again. I told them. I eventually got my food. Last time I came the worker who put up my groceries didn't secure them. When I opened my hatchback at home, my 12 pack of soda fell out. Several cans were damaged. My wife ordered groceries tonight and set the pickup time from 5-6 pm. We were notified CL was running late and our time would be 6-7. No sweat. I just now got to my lane and it is 639. Oh, also, we are often told items were out-of-stock that are definitely not. Clicklist needs to be severely overhauled. No one should have to wait an hour for 40 dollars worth of groceries. Maybe limiting how many bookings they accept an hour would help. And making sure the employees know where things are. We are done with CL unless things change. Still got mad love for Kroger, though. read more

No complaint until I get to check out area....there's a certain employee who normally works the customer service desk, but when she sees me in line to check out, she rushes over to get up in my face and try to make me talk to her. She's a nuisance to customers by her constant yacking. Freedom of speech goes both ways. Freedom to speak and freedom to not speak to her. Her constant yacking is actually rude. She needs to stay at her work station and leave customers alone. It makes for a bad shopping experience when you have to deal with her mouth. Less said from her.....the better. read more

Always a good experience This location is kept clean, stocked well, and the produce is always fresh. I've been shopping this store for more than 10yrs. The parking lot is usually packed, but more than enough spaces on the premises. The aisles are laid out well, easy to navigate and enough space to pass by other shoppers. The registers are always busy but move quickly. The clerks are efficient, but still willing to take their time to get it right. I've never had a bad experience here. read more

Best & cheapest place in town to get gas, especially with the added Kroger discounts. They have recently added more gas pumps so the station is bigger & not as crowded as it previously could get. They have a pretty wide range of beverages & snacks at the station, & Kroger is one of the cheaper places in town to purchase cigarettes as well. The gas station attendants are always friendly! read more

Clean store. We waited a good 25 min for someone at the customer service desk complaining about the price of apple juice. All we wanted to know was how much they sold Holiday World tickets for. We didn't even end up buying them. The lottery machine was malfunctioning half the time you pressed a button which was frustrating. It kept displaying odd messages. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Kroger on Frederica in Owensboro seems to be getting the produce that is too old to sell elsewhere and then dumping it on the pickup customers. I have been dealing with them for two weeks so far to try to get under $6 refunded for bad produce that had to be thrown away on arrival. The Facebook customer service folks keep saying it might take x more business days yadda yadda. Interesting, as Walmart's refunds are instant and easily done online. I won't be shopping at Kroger anymore. This was my second time giving them a chance to see if things had changed in the past couple of years. Nope. Poor quality, even worse customer service. Well worth the few dollars for my Walmart+ subscription - if something isn't right, the refund is instant. Don't waste your time, Owensboro. You have better options. read more

Ever since we moved closer to Owensboro we started shopping at Kroger. The prices are equal to what you'll find anywhere else, but the customer service and selection are whqt make it stand out to me. The produce always looks and tastes great. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have about this particular location is the section in the middle of the store containing the canned/boxed goods is a little strange and takes some getting used to. Also, the beer selection leaves something to be desired. All things considered, we will definitely keep shopping here. read more

Kroger charged me $16.50 for a prescription but the refill price went up to $38. This is the highest price in the entire town. Kroger would not honor the GoodRx coupon issued by Kroger itself. Great pharmacy to pay the highest price for your medications. If you purchase the special Kroger card for $36.00 the price goes down. It still remains the highest price though. read more

This is your average Kroger fuel station. It's as clean as a gas station can be. There are only 4 pumps, so it's a little small, but it works. If you purchase something from the small kiosk, the employee has always been friendly and efficient. All in all, best place to get gas because of the Kroger card discounts. read more

salad bar is disgusting, meat and seafood department stinks. checking out was horrifying, lines were moving too slowly to be even near the acceptable Wal-Mart IPH (items per hour) standard (which is laughable btw), and the self checkout system is ridiculous and impractical as you have to leave everything on the scale until finish. read more
