Man! Way to go Kroger! You did a fantastic job on reading and responding to my review. The staff used to be very unattentive and somewhat curt with me whenever I would go in to the store, but now they are attentive and kind. The selection there keeps growing and growing, just like my enjoyment in their business. This place makes living near downtown cincinnati and the food desert that it is so much better, not only for the fact that it IS a grocery store, but because it is one that gives it's customers what they wish for. Kroger, there is a young man in his late 20's that works in your organic "nature's way" section that has personally made several of my friends feel extremely uncomfortable, (men and women) have reported that he has verbally and even some times physically passed the boundaries of what is appropriate. This is a huge store, which has its advantages and disadvantages. Shop here if you want the biggest selection possible and higher-priced options. As for me, it's way too big. Just walking from the produce section to the dairy takes 2-3 minutes and I'm constantly circling around trying to find things. You'll find everything on your list, but there's very little sense of community in the store and I almost always leave in a bad mood. I don't know if it's the lighting, the extra walking or massive parking lot, but just not the store for me. Also, very disappointing that the store does not have a single bike rack out front and is nearly impossible to access by bus. At the least, there should be one TANK bus that stops in front of the Kroger and Target. read more

I love this Kroger, but so does everyone else. It's often extremely busy and hard to find a parking space. With that issue aside, I love the selection! I love how the produce department is always fresh! (I wish they had alfalfa sprouts.) I could spend hours just walking up and down the isles "impulse" shopping. Can't forget to give a shout out to the deli department! Their meat game is always on point. Love that habanero ham. And my bank (US bank) is located inside!! So convenient. Yep. I live in Cincinnati closer to other Krogers but I drive here all the time. This is the cleanest grocery store around and they have a huge variety of everything. They have an amazing cheese selection. The employees in the deli and meat sections are always super friendly and helpful. read more

OK, so the regular Kroger store gets 5 stars. The pharmacy gets zero. We'll start with the store. They stock everything you could possibly need. There's a nice Murray's Cheese, good sushi, plentiful organic options, and a great meat/seafood counter in addition to all your usual suspects in a grocery store. There's also a bank, clinic, and jewelry store all tucked in here. Don't forget about the adjacent liquor store that has a very impressive selection of anything you may need. Of course there is also the Kroger gas station, where you can use your fuel points earned on shopping trips to save some money! Keep in mind parking here is at a premium, and it's usually tough to find a good spot. Now on to the bad (aka the pharmacy). I have had several times where my doctor has called a prescription in for me. I later called to verify the pharmacy received it and was told it would be ready that day at a time we agreed upon (usually some time after work). Every time, I have come to pick up my prescription and have been informed it's actually not ready because when I called, I spoke to someone in the call center (not the store) and it was being filled at the fill center (again, not the store), so I would have to wait until the fill center drops off the filled prescription to the store the next day. Even after my stating I do not want anything filled at the fill center, my prescriptions were still sent to the fill center. It's very frustrating to be told your medicine will be ready at a certain time and then to come and be told it's been filled at the fill center (and therefore technically ready) but not available to be picked up yet. I was so fed up, I switched to a different pharmacy. I even called and complained about how this is handled to the manager, who did not seem to be all that concerned. The store itself is great. If you are reading reviews and have no prescription needs, you should definitely go shopping at the Kroger Marketplace in Newport. If you do have prescription needs, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I can't tell you how many times we have bought something from here to later find out it had long expired. Just found mold all over the seal of a tea bottle we just bought this past weekend, and saw it expired over a year ago. We have found mold in their products, some products have gone sour, we have found mouse poop, and many others have plain old expired YEARS ago. These guys do an unacceptable job at getting rid of their expired products. It's overall a nice Kroger but their lack of attention makes it disgusting. read more

I felt Kroger deserved a review today. Reason being, a young man had to run after my stupid self and say "Sir! Is this your bag of milk and ice cream?" Man, if I had gotten home without the milk and ice cream, I would have been seriously pissed. So I was very grateful. And I thought - I like everything about that Kroger. Fresh meat, veges, clean, has a Starbucks, lots of attractive women shop there - I can't think of a single thing to complain about! Plus of course having HQ nearby - it's like the hometown team. A step above a basic Kroger, but no Jungle Jim's. Don't expect to find everything you are looking for. There is usually a line at the pharmacy counter. On the good side, you can earn some mighty fuel points. Parking can be horrid on evenings and weekends. The designer of the traffic and parking was out to lunch. read more

I was so excited when they built this super Kroger right off of 471/275. It's so convenient for a quick stop on my way home from downtown if I need anything quick for dinner. It's HUGE and has a great array of items and a lot of gluten free options, which is important to anyone else out there like me who has Celiac Disease. It's always clean and relatively easy to find parking. And OH, did I mention the cheese selection? All the glorious cheese?!? Well, not only do they have an amazing selection but they also have incredibly knowledge staff who are more than willing to help you make that perfect pairing of creamy Brie with perfectly ripe blackberries. YUM! And with the fresh produce right in the front of the store--which is where I do most of my shopping--it makes it easy and quick when that's what I need! read more

As an OTR resident, I like to keep my tax dollars in Cincinnati. But the neighborhood is missing a nice option for a one-stop-shop grocery. This Kroger is really clean and quite large - housing a great produce section, a remarkable Murray's Cheese shop, and just about everything else you can need to get you set for the week. read more

I go to this Kroger when I want a large selection of fresh food, prepared food and other home items, like plates, towels - even furniture. It's convenient - right off 471. I have always received great customer service at Kroger and that is true here too. read more

Love their organic/vegan/alternative/health food options. Employees are helpful. They offer paper bags as options too! Just wish they had a Whole Foods in the same plaza too so I didn't have to make trips to two different locations ha. Love their produce selection too! read more

This is by far the best Kroger in NKY! The staff here is friendly, helpful and efficient. The shelves are always being stocked. In each department I get a friendly greeting and offered help. I have a little one now and tend to have to bring him along on my grocery trip. I dreaded the thought of finding a way to fit everything in my cart with him and get it to the car. It was time to check out and all my stress was lifted off my shoulders when the bagger asked if she could help push my groceries to the car. It was an answered prayer. After I loaded up the car the cart collector kindly took away the carts for me. This was one of the best experiences. I left feeling accomplished instead of overwhelmed. read more

This Kroger is great and consistently meets my expectations for food quality and selection. I heard they are going to be adding even more onto the produce section which makes me happy because they always have nice produce, unlike a lot of Kroger's. They have lovely flowers and a Starbucks too, and the employees are extremely helpful. Once at 2 am I locked my keys in my car and several employees came to try to help me while in their lunch breaks. Very friendly staff and quality food. read more

It is a grocery store and I do most of the work once in there. Simply, they are convenient, local and have really low prices on most items. On any other day I would hate their monopolistic market ways but hey when it gets you lower priced, good quality groceries let someone else worry about the big moral fight. I don't know if people are aware or not but they allow men in the women's bathrooms. There was a man in the bathroom while I was in there and would not leave so I left. This shows they don't give a damn about women's and girls safety. We never hear about girls going into the men's bathroom. That's because they are not pedophiles looking for little boys like the men are looking for little girls. They really need to give up trying to carry organic dairy products or maybe organic groceries altogether if they aren't going to bother reordering and restocking the items. I used to shop there weekly but they couldn't keep organic milk stocked in gallons consistently or organic yogurt stocked in quarts. I'm already paying enough for organic - I'm not paying double for tiny containers. It's a shame because they are close by. I still stop in sometimes but regardless of what's on my list, 1/3 of the items are out of stock - a tag marks where the items should go but it's empty or stocked with something else. The worst part are the excuses. "It's on the next truck - stop by tomorrow." No, it isn't. "We're having supplier problems - nobody can get it right now." Ok. I'm in Southgate tomorrow. I'll check there. They have it. They don't know anything about supplier issues. Just quit carrying organic anything and leave it to the other Krogers or competitors. read more

If you need to pick up some eggs, gourmet cheese and a couch this is the place to go. This isn't just a Kroger, its a Kroger Marketplace, which means its fancy. Super fancy. They have every kind of cheese imaginable here, and if they don't have it they will help you get it. They also have an incredible selection of organic food, international food, diapers....scissors...pretty much everything. Also the gas pumps are finally working! read more

This is probably the nicest Kroger that I've been to in the greater Cincinnati area. This is a Kroger Marketplace, meaning the selection goes well beyond what is offered at your garden-variety supermarket. I mean, who doesn't feel like shopping for gym clothes and hosiery at the same time that they're buying a dozen eggs? There's also a Kroger gas station and liquor store in the same lot. The gas station in particular comes in handy with all of the points and gas discounts you'll be accruing on your Kroger card. The produce selection is excellent, with the vast majority of the produce actually appearing fresh and edible (a shocking concept, I know). The meat selection is also excellent. They've got several varieties of fresh fish during work hours, and usually have enough prepackaged salmon left over to sell even after the butcher goes home for the day. However, the one thing they never seem to carry is the Simple Truth (i.e. "organic") turkey patties. That's quite odd considering almost every other location I've been to (including the so-called Kro-ghetto next to UC) are always overflowing with them. Kroger Fresh Selections salad kits (chef, etc) seem reasonably priced until you see how much "junk lettuce" (ends of romaine, etc.) they hide in there! read more
