I love this Lambertville, MI Kroger! It's rather large, so it might take a while to learn the store format of your favorite foods. However, I find it to be very clean and easy to navigate. If I have questions, there's usually an associate nearby to ask and show you to the aisle and location. I understand that some people have problems with the Digital Coupons, but they are easy to navigate once you learn the process. I do appreciate however that Kroger has listened to the feedback and applaud the store for resuming paper coupons for those who prefer them. I find the produce at this store far superior to anyplace else locally. It may not be the least expensive, but it will be the best available. In all, I highly recommend this Kroger location for its cleanliness, fresh produce, and helpful associates. Plus, you can find pretty much anything you need at this store. I personally love it here and definitely recommend! You might pay a bit more for quality, but the Digital Coupons or paper coupons definitely help with the bottom line. read more

Good store with shelves decently stocked with food. The staff there works pretty hard and are always willing to help when asked. They've done a better job of opening more self checkout lanes which has been a problem in the past. The Starbucks staff is always hustling and does a great job as well. I love this store, but yesterday I was going to purchase the salmon on sale. I was at the meat counter and saw salmon that the price didn't match the weekly add, so I asked if the thin guy behind the counter he said that was it. I began to explain why I asked about the price and he stopped me mid sentence and said "Do you want the filet or not". Management needs to ask this person if he needs help, if he doesn't well I'd let him go. You don't treat customers like this at any time. I know one customer will make no difference on Krogers bottom line, but I WON'T EVER BE BACK! I'd give zero stars if I could! read more

2020 update: I am removing one star from this review solely on the performance of the pharmacy. Plain and simply they are not set up for as many people that use it. Part of the rearranging of the store should have been an expanded pharmacy with more registers. Not exaggerating on a weeknight around dinner time you can be sure you'll wait 30 minutes every time. Since I last commented the store has been completely rearranged which I don't mind. More self checkouts now and less cashiers which is expected I guess. The Kroger pickup is useful as well and we haven't had any problems. Expect long wait times at the pharmacy and deli. -------------------- Fun fact: this is the worlds largest Kroger. The shopping experience is usually great. Good deli, produce section, Starbucks, furniture section, grocery store, and the list goes on. Never had a bad experience with any of the staff either. Would recommend anyone to shop here for the grocery needs and more. On Tuesdays it is buy one get one free sandwiches from the deli. And they have boars head brand meats. read more

No toilet paper in either of the mens rooms. Starbucks didn't have napkins and I asked if she had any. She said nope, like they were out and ten minutes later they had the napkin dispenser full. I guess she was assuring me my observation was correct. read more

I would rate this store higher except for two things: 1. There is never a staff to be found when you have a question and when you do find one they seem not to know what to do or where to direct you. 2. I do click -list shopping frequently. I place my order, select a time and pick it up no problems. The problem is with their search engine! It is hands down the worst I have ever used. Don't misspell anything not by one letter or you get no results. Trying to figure the combination of words to use to get to a product you KNOW exists in the store can take three or more tries. Sometimes I just give up! Trial and error has gotten me to some products but that takes time, to much time. Other than those two things it's a clean well stocked store with a large variety of items. read more

At the Bedford Marketplace today and the cashier had an issue with the customer's order 2 people in front of us, she had to run out to the customer whose payment hadn't cleared and the second persons groceries were being added to that order. She had to void the second person's order and clear the first. Then she had to rescan the second customer's order and check her out. She did it all efficiently, professionally and with a smile! Everyone is line was very understanding and pleasant because she was pleasant. I'd like to recognize Catelynn on Aisle 12!!! She is an awesome cashier and should receive a nod of thanks for keeping her head about her and handling it all very professionally! What an asset to the Bedford Marketplace store! All cashiers should take note. Could have created a huge ugly issue and she handled it all amazingly! read more

Fancy, state-of-the-art Kroger on the corner of Sterns and Secor, so it serves both side of the border. This Kroger had a pharmacy, bank, Starbucks, Fred Meyer's Jewelry Store, and a furniture store and clothing store. IT's kinda like a mini Meijer. Free-standing sushi station, cheese station, to-go counters, and lots of other temptations. Checking prices, I found that they didn't have Private Selection and other low-price options. The nut-rice crackers I usually buy were twenty cents higher than at the Monroe store. The housewares, furniture and clothing areas were adequate. Prices were high for non-name brand and were of A.J. Wright quality. There was a large toy area that will tempt the kids and make it hard to stick to budget. Best leave them home when you shop here! read more

I have literally started driving the extra 3 miles to Toledo to buy my gas and frozen Coke. The gas station here is an afterthought to management. It is always poorly stocked and the fountain drinks are a joke. The machines are either not working, or they don't have cups, or lids, or something else. It is a shame that they cannot keep popular cigarettes in stock. You would think that the largest Kroger in the world would be well stocked but such is not the case. I guess they feel like they can stand the loss of my business since they are now the only gas station or grocery in town. That's okay Kroger. this is not your typical kroger in a small town. its quite the opposite actually. this place is so well run, they hire great people too. i remember going in here about an hour before closing and you'd think people would be a bit cranky if you asked them a question. not at all. it's not the world's biggest kroger as someone previously said, but its not little either. it has a wide selection of merchandise and some home stuff such as towels and face rags. so more than the normal kroger. read more

June 3. 2019 No cashier open. Clerk had to help me use the self checkout. I cannot bag due to disability. You recently added several self check-outs and eliminated service line checkouts with a "human" cashier. Does the brain trust of Kroger Corporate think everyone wants to use self checkout? If so, you are wrong! Hours when a "human" cashier would be available was NOT posted, so thankfully Sheila came to my rescue and helped me. I called 1-800 Krogers....of course customer service took the call....like they care! After the 800 krogers person put me on hold forever, I called the Kroger 513 number. Yes I did talk to another wonderful customer service person! I wanted to talk to a big wig manager. I was given the corporate Kroger address in Cincinnati, Ohio and was directed to write them a letter. Well I sure did, and I mailed it the next day. Corporate is just too busy to take calls from us little people, and they don't have an email address either! Isn't that a surprise. Another concern is why the clothing and shoe departments have been moved to the front of the store. Do they think any woman would want to shop for clothing and other personal items in the front of a grocery store??? The laundry detergent is now located where the clothing dept. had been. So, who is the brainiac who put detergent in the very rear of the store? People do not have to shop at Lambertville Kroger. They can go elsewhere as I have done and many other senior have done. The entire store is a mess with the remodeling. Try to find a clerk who can direct you to the right location in the store. They are few and far between, but always friendly and helpful if you can find one. I stopped in tonight June 4, 2019 and, low and behold, there was a human operating the checkout line until 12 AM. Nothing posted, I asked how long the line would be open. I commend the employees who have to listen to justified complaints from customers. The staff on the floor.....a great bunch of employees in my opinion. I don't know who would want to work under the conditions they have to endure. Sure the store is clean...but the management has a long way to go to make things right for seniors and those of us with disabilities. How about having at least two checkout lines available with a "human" at the cash register during evening hours? How about posting the time the checkout line closes so the late-night people are not forced to use the self-checkout or find an employee to help them? read more

Totally loved this Kroger when it first expanded a few years ago. Would never think of shopping anywhere else. But, Wow! Things seem to going down hill fast. Still shopping this Kroger every week; however, I'm finding it more and more difficult to purchase my favorite items. Three weeks now there has been no whole organic chicken available, and very few organic canned vegetables such as green beans, or corn. Also, three weeks and the bulk walnuts bin has gone empty. I know organic berries of any kind is difficult to stock in the colder months, but if I am lucky to find strawberries, they don't look very fresh. Berries at this Kroger are aways a bit pricey. How do other stores sell them cheaper??? About six months ago I noticed there were very few employees bagging groceries, or no one at all. I refuse to bag my own groceries, not that I'm lazy or think it is below me, it's a perk I feel comes with some of the higher price items I am forced to pay for. Lower the prices, and I might consider it. Shame on Kroger for expecting customers to wait in line while the cashier, scans, cashes you out, and bags your groceries. I am a very observant person, and believe me the lower moral of your employees is showing! Less friendly, less smiling, and your customers do hear the complaints. Not that I blame them at all. We have been putting up with the new everything in your store for months,, now you want us to all do our own check out, and there isn't enough room to even do that if you have a cart full! plus, now you want me to bag me to bag my own stuff? Everything is moved into areas that don't even kinda go together.. I go there to buy FOOD, not your over priced clothes, or a new pair of shoes, or even jewelry... but at least you haven't stuck the jewelry in the middle of everything. I am so absolutely disappointed in what you have done to that store, and since I live so close to Toledo, I certainly will be going there from now on. I noticed that since you have made room for all of your new items, furniture, dishes, clothing, shoes pots and pans, and who knows what all, you have decreased the the choices in the products of food you sell... and today, you were out of part of that stuff. Bread in two diffent places, took me forever to find peanut butter, and then there was only 2 small jars.. totally disgusting! You are lucky I gave you one star! My Low Tire light went on and I pulled into the Kroger gas station lot and found the air pumps way behind the building. Being very grey (born 1938) and not experienced, my attempt to refill the flattening tire wa s very unsuccessful and so I went into the station and asked for help. The young man at the counter yelled for someone to help me....Helpful young man came from what I would suggest is the bottle area and he volunteered to change my tire "if necessary. Regretfully I do not know his name, but he was helpful, respectful, and even went beyond call of duty and got his own jack, Alas, he couldn't loosen the bolts and we both realized that I needed prefessional help. He was so respectful, initially declined my tip, should be acknowledged for his kindness and willingness to do more than expected. Kroger management: please acknowledge the clerk who called him into service and the young man himself both on duty November 4 about 6:30-7:15 pm. Thanks. read more
