This is my go to Kroger! Close to my home I've been shopping here for about 4 years, love the set up of all the food and it's very easy to navigate and find things. I appericate the helpful staff who are always willing to point out where some things are located. Kroger always has a huge selection of food items as well. Store is always kept clean and organized and the surprise sample days are always a nice treat read more

If I could give 0 stars I would which is saying something considering this is my favorite grocery store and the only place I've gone in over a year for food. I've never seen the point in writing reviews but that's how much this lady working there pissed me off. It was the day (night) before thanksgiving and I arrive at 10:45 (15 minutes before closing), I ALWAYS shop late and have never had any issues or been turned away even arriving 10-15 before closing at this location. Pulling up I noticed a male worker guarding the door letting people out but making sure no one else came in, being stubborn I made it past him but at the second door this bitch tells me I can't come in because self check out has a line, I tell her all I need to grab is a bag of dog food for my puppy since I ran out. She has the audacity to say this is UNACCEPTABLE, the day before thanksgiving she has the nerve to turn me away when it would take me less than 10 minutes to grab a damn bag of dog food. Whenever I've worked jobs I always let people come in even 1 minute before closing because I know that I'm going to still be there at least 20 minutes closing up the place. IMO this heartless bitch should be fired cause who in their right mind turns someone away trying to feed their puppy the day before thanksgiving, someone isn't thankful enough that she even has a job with her rude attitude. read more

This is one of the better Kroger's in Indianapolis. Since the downtown Marsh is closing and doesn't carry most of what I go shopping there and the 16th St Kroger also is small and doesn't have what I need I switched to the 71st Kroger (as the one at Speedway is horrible). This store is large, clean and carries most everything I need in a supermarket (beats having to drive around find everything I need in different stores) and at reasonable prices. Parking can be a bit of a challenge depending on the time of day. They also have recycle bins in the parking lot. Coming from downtown on Binford Blvd I find it easier to make the left on to Graham St and drive up Graham to enter from the West side of the parking lot. There is a gas station in the same parking lot. read more

I used to like this store but the last two times I was treated very rudely by two employees. Not only rudely but just hatefully too. I completed the customer survey on my receipt asking that a manager phone me but, of course, he/she never called. This store has really become the pits since Marsh has closed. I guess they think they don't have to treat customers well anymore since it is a bit of a food store "desert" now. I will do my grocery shopping at Meijer or WalMart now. Nicer people and easier parking. read more

Nice store, great produce and meat counter, but the deli is consistently understaffed with uncaring workers, dirty tables & neglected salad bar. I go there because It's convenient to my work place and I only get a 30 minute lunch. Also the cash registers in the morning are always the farthest from the doors, perhaps this is a loss prevention thing? But for me to park, grab a pastry on the West end of the store and have to walk to the far East end of the store to pay ...?? read more

Great little grocery store. Gets pretty busy in the evenings, and the checkout lines can get a bit long. Nice deals on produce. Their fresh flowers last a really long time and are very reasonable. Good cheese selection and fresh sushi station. They seem to be consistently expanding their natural foods section. Two Red Box boxes out front, and a gas station make it a convenient stop. read more

This is a Kroger select store. They have a great organic selection. This Kroger is the best in Indianapolis! read more

Kroger - Grocery Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

This is my neighborhood Kroger, and for the most part this is a good, clean and busy store with very nice people. There is always a nice older gentleman that has long hair and wears a hat and it seems like he is always sticking bananas when I shop. He welcomed me to Indiana and explained the Indian summers to me. He's a very nice guy. There's another middle-aged, African American gentleman that works the seafood counter. She is so funny and entertaining. I look forward to seeing him when I shop. They also have a great organic section, but it is hard to find a parking spot most of the time. Now, the one thing I dislike about this store is going to the deli. There is one particular lady that works mornings on weekdays, and she has a full blown attitude. She is the younger of the 2, and I believe her name tag stays she has been there since 2013? I really don't understand why. I refuse to deal with her attitude and I want spend money knowing that she makes me feel like I'm bothering her. read more

I don't normally frequent Kroger, but I was advised that they would have reasonably priced organic items in stock. And although organic is fairly expensive to me, I was pleased with the pricing and options that were available to me. Additionally, I received great customer service, and an associate even offered to help me find what I was looking for. Most of my posts focus on customer service, and I was very pleased with today's experience. read more

I love this kroger so much! For one it's a wonderful layout! always has what i need! The employees all deserve raises!! But also i lost my wallet and it had my whole life in it!! They tried to find me and even looked out for my phone call and my face when i came in! Thanks kroger on 71st read more

This is a great Kroger location. The store gives the impression of being fresh, bright, colorful, and clean. Their prices are good--if you buy according to what's on sale. Otherwise, they are medium-to-high. Also, keep your eye out for clearance items. Kroger aggressively clearances the meat, deli, and produce that is approaching their Sell-by date, so one of my favorite things is to look for awesome food (that I wouldn't otherwise buy) marked down 40-50%. Food quality is well above average. I do want to remark and give credit to Kroger as a whole: Kroger does an exceptional job of sourcing their food. Their store-brands have been (without exception) as-good or better than the name brands. My one complaint about this location is that after a certain time of night (10pm?), they block off half of the entrance doors and make you walk in and along the front of all the check out aisles, and out through the self-checkout in order to enter the store. It's fairly annoying. read more

I haven't shopped too many other Kroger stores so can't compare. I generally shop at this Kroger when my pantry items or frozen foods run low. I also like some geographically regional selection stocked by this Kroger. The produce quality and selection is generally good with a fairly diverse selection at reasonable prices. Meat items don't look appetizing except for the bagged, bulk frozen chicken wing. The seafood selection is moderate but the seafood manager knows his stuff. Many of the specialty cheeses taste like the plastic wraps that they are stored in. Fresh made bread sells out early. Busiest times are on the weekends (obviously) and the congestion can be nerve racking. Majority of the items that I have found on the selves have been within the labeled expiration date. Employees have generally been pleasant. At times, cashiers tend not to notice you and would rather talk to the bagger about their manger or impending lunch break. read more

Warning: Thanksgiving precooked meals are labor-intensive and hard to time reheating. Don't bother.

I go here because it's close. It's always very busy so waiting in line is inevitable. If you go after dark they create the worst maze to get into the store so there is no quick stop to grab something on your way home. Now they are closing at midnight too. The Uscan workers when I have been there hover horribly. They do usually have a good selection of fresh fruit and meats but if you go late it's usually picked over. read more

This Kroger is fantastic. And not just for a Kroger. It. Is. The. Best. Damn. Grocery. Store. Period. This store was designed with all senses in mind. It pleases the eye with plenty of light and beautiful color, especially the produce displays. It pleases the nose with the fragrance of fruits and baked goods when you walk in. It pleases the tongue with several places to sample cookies, orange slices, and various items. It pleases the ear with soft music and not a lot of mechanical sounds. It pleases the touch in that you do not have to struggle with over beat up carts and everything is within an easy reach, neither too high or low. For those sixth sense people, it pleases our intuition in that everything is logically placed in this store where it should be, and the aisles are not overcrowded with displays. Those with a sense of health, their organic and natural foods selection is fantastic (Trader who?) Lastly, for those of us with a sense of time, there are plenty of self checkout lanes and many cashier lanes. And for those of us who have a sense of price, Kroger's prices are hard to beat! read more

This location is great - almost like a Super Target because they have so many options. The staff is super friendly. I'm removing a star because of the parking situation. The parking lot sucks. It's awkward to drive in and drive out of this location. Otherwise, this is a nice supermarket. read more

Not a newer store and not huge. However, every employee who has ever interacted with me has been fun, nice, and helpful. Had a great conversation and shopping advice from the woman working the seafood counter (and you were right, ma'am -- the king crab was WORTH IT). Prices are reasonable, produce is fresh, and checkout lines are short. This is a good store, and I will definitely continue to shop here. read more

This Kroger location is in a convenient location, however the customer service is subpar. Consistently I've been disappointed by their curbside pick up due to pick up times being pushed back multiple times. It would be understandable if there was clear communication on these hiccups but that has not been the case for me. read more

I like this Kroger. It's in a great location that needed some love. And it's always busy, so that says something. I love the natural foods section. I love Whole Foods but live way too far from it for a quick stop...this little section has everything I need, even bulk foods. Except sometimes I forget its there and when I look for my favorite brands in other parts of the store and can't find them, I get mad (my fault!). As far as grocery stores go, it's definitely a larger, cleaner, and brighter. Same Kroger pricing as any other store. The only thing that bothers me is the produce. I am a big fruit and veg girl and I am often underwhelmed by the produce. For example, I've tried (and failed) several times to get avocados from this location. I've never come home with any that were that great. Typically, I have to run over to Fresh Market, where I am guaranteed a good produce experience. On the other hand, I do get some produce (blueberries, already cut pineapple, strawberries, onions, etc.) that is perfectly fine for WAY cheaper than Fresh Market. So, it all evens out in the end, I guess. And I can get 10 Fage greek yogurts for $10 at Kroger. Definitely can't do that at Fresh Market. read more

The shopping experience was fine but checking out was terrible. There were only two lines open, and one didn't have anybody bagging any groceries. It took us 20 minutes to check out. Hire more cashiers. Pay them what they need. No way we're coming back if I have to wait 20 minutes to buy my groceries from you again. read more

I've been in the store three days in a row and they still have no bags in their produce department. I'm super annoyed and it seems that management doesn't care too much about their customer service. I've been shopping at this store since they open in 2009 and it just seems to continue to go downhill. I'm looking to spend my money elsewhere. read more

No carts on a Saturday at 5? Always understaffed. Poop all over the toilet in men's room. This Kroger continues to be the worst in the city.

I have been going to this Kroger since it opened as so have many of my friends have as well and it was always a great store for having what I needed and fast service but now they try to get everyone to do self serve checkout with only 1 or 2 lines open if you are lucky. I do not want self serve when I am buying a huge cart of groceries nor do I want to bag it all. Needless to say even in the regular checkout lines I have had to bag all my groceries the last 3 or 4 visits. Get your act together Kroger as many of my friends and neighbors will be going elsewhere. read more

This issue began with lack of clarity around Kroger policy for digital coupons and quickly degenerated into the most unbelievably ridiculous consumer experience. Policy issue: There is no indication that the e-coupons are sometimes manufacturer coupons. I am not a coupon person, but given the ease of e-coupons, and Kroger's ambitious advertising, I decided to try it. Much to my dismay, after over 2 hours in the store, attempting to determine which items were correct, I rang up all my groceries, and was informed that roughly half of the coupons "don't work." The cashier told me there was a code that said the coupon had already been used. As I'd obviously never used the coupons before, I asked politely but directly for a store manager. She was a startling disappointment. I was informed that e-coupons WERE manufacturer coupons, and couldn't be combined. Believing there must be a computer error, as this conflict wasn't noted ANYWHERE on the website, print out, or multitude of advertisements. I was informed it was on the paperwork... she was also unable to find any indication. At that point the store manager informed me I was welcome to log a complaint on-line. After two hours, and absolutely poor customer service from the highest store management, I was no longer interested in patronizing this Kroger. I asked for my coupons back, and began to remove the personal reusable shopping bags that I'd brought. The cashier, who had been making disparaging comments throughout, immediately became Extremely vocal. Including comments like, "You know I'm going to be the one that has to put all of this away!!" I replied that after two hours of wasted time in the grocery, that really wasn't my concern. At that point, the cashier picked up all of my coupons and threw them into the air exclaiming, "YOU can pick those up!" Next, he threw my personal belongings on the floor behind him and used his body to block me from picking them up. When I pushed past him to rescue my belongings, he exclaimed, "That's ASSAULT!! YOU JUST ASSAULTED ME!! I'm calling the police!" This is surreal. I left the store to find the cashier STILL harassing me, and following me to my vehicle. He was attempting to intimidate me, and it was working. There is obviously a chemical or mental imbalance to account for this behavior. I called 911 hoping that knowing he had an audience would moderate his behavior. It didn't seem to make an impact at all. At this point, another store employee, Jarold (I believe) came outside, and bodily pulled the cashier(whom he referred to as Cody) back into the building. I obviously will never ever return to Kroger. I will do everything within my power to share this experience as widely and publically as possible to encourage others to make an educated decision. Intimidation and harassment is never okay, particularly from a grocery chain. read more

It's a "Kroger Signature" store, and it shows. There's a plethora of prepared foods! The staff is pleasant and helpful; at least two of them who I spoke to for help were all smiles and answers. It's a decent sized store with everything I wanted. There were darn good sales scattered throughout the store too. There is a good sized organic fresh foods section and ample gluten-free options too. This is an excellent Kroger. Two thumbs up! read more

I just came from Kroger on 71st and Binford Blvd and walked out and left my grocery cart after braving the virus to get it. I was next in line after waiting for a long time. The customer service woman was in the line with the cashier solving an old man's Kroger.com e coupon problem on his phone. He should have been sent to her he only had two items. After a LONG time the customer service lady told the cashier next to us to get my items and ring me out on his register. He put them over there and started ringing out a man with a huge cart of groceries and there was one behind him the same way. Now I am third in line behind them. He took my groceries to ring them out as I was next in line. All that could have been avoided by the customer service lady going to customer service. I told them to keep the groceries. I was delighted to see someone cleaning the carts with sanitizer when I went in and complimented her on it. They have limits of one item so that is understandable on certain things as it should be. They had meat and a few bags of red potatos. All in all they are trying to be clean. read more

Went in to fill a prescription and the pharmacist was a complete rude and unprofessional asshole to me and my child.

I must be in a good mood cuz this place was hilarious. When I walked up to the deli three kids ran to the back to get away. They must have played rock paper scissors a couple min. later the one that lost came out to help me. He literately threw ham across the counter to give him a reason to walk away from helping me twice it was a bit comical. Except his hand touched the ground then he proceeded to use the same gloves to keep cutting my lunch meat. Then for some odd reason I decided to go threw a checkout that the cashier that was missing was missing... yet there was a bagger. I waited a couple min. then did self check and laughed my way out of there. read more

I will however be back n to speak w Eric (store mgr) about it.. btw did anyone notice Marsh closed stores. That union at Krogers only works when the companies n business.. This kroger is on my way home from work. Open 24 hours, good selection for the most part. Doesn't really compare to some of the highest end speciality Krogers back in Ohio. Unfortunately that sort of store hasn't seem to come to Indy yet, but this is still pretty nice. Very nice for a 24 hour store around here. Good meat department, seafood is so so, but I just go to a more specialized store for that these days. It's my go to if I need to grab some groceries on the way home. With the plus points I can save a few bucks a tank on my gas, I like that. read more

Who would have ever thought it would be possible to be excited about a Kroger? This store just opened - at E71st and Binford Blvd. It is getting high marks because it has the best produce and vegetable selection I've seen around town. Kroger isn't normally known for such things - but this place beats any Marsh hands-down. They had four different kinds of cauliflower - one of which was purple and another orange. More than 10 different kinds of mushrooms (so how could they not have fresh shiitakes!?!). Five different kinds of green beans. I never knew such things existed. It was actually fun to browse. They also had an impressive assortment of cheeses. I'm knocking off a star because their fish counter was lacking. Not much of a selection and what they had looked past its prime. read more

If you want a sale item listed in the weekly ad be sure to go on Wed or Thursday because after that you will not find it. NO ONE at any Kroger stocks ANYTHING after two o'clock in the afternoon. Tried three different stores and all had the same problem. Must be a union thing. Also items are listed in local ads that Indy area stores don't stock. Upper management should have gone to school at our local O'Malia's. Marsh was less appealing than O'Malia's but a heck of a lot better than Kroger. read more
