Nope. Ya boi got skills. Yes, they came out of a can. You just have to apply some patience in letting them get to room temp once opened, a loose rolling up, egg wash, and boom! Well it is up market, but it is owned by Albertson's so they do cross product market sharing. Tom Thumb is as Lexus is to the Toyota brand. It's the niche, but guess what? They have real DEALs on meat. Yes. The jewel is in the meat department. They rotate stock, no redating meats. I caught USDA prime Ribeyes marked to go quick, less than $6 each, 1 pound bone-in steaks. Look around, those go for $14.99 a pound. Prime, not Choice or Select. Top cuts, well marbled. No, you don't have to eat them that day. I rewrapped mine to freeze them to grill at a later date. I also caught St. Louis style ribs on sale. Sure, last day date on them, red stickered at $1.79 lb. These usually go for $3.49 even at Costco. Cheapest Spare ribs at Winco are still $2.69 on sale, and that's not St. Louis trim. Highest trim, $1.79. Needless to say, I bought 3 slabs. I was going to grab the last 6 but it seemed greedy. These I marinated immediately, uncovered the pellet smoker and got busy prepping awesome sides to go with. Thick, meaty ribs too, not fatty, meat for my money, and my tummy. So don't be fooled by how pretty the store is. Tom Thumb is going to war on pricing. They have some serious deals. I guess that line was closed though because the girl checking people out said to her " dish rags over there dishrag go over there. I'm closed. ". Yes, she referred to the woman that I had let go ahead of me as a dish rag I know I didn't miss hear it. The checkout girl said it twice. Other people heard it too, but nobody else spoke up because it's one of those things you don't know what to say or do I went right to the next line and then the lady with the hijab was behind me . I got to the checkout girl in that other line and I said I want to see the manager. The manager Randy came over and I told him what that girl had done and he said well she's about to get off. I'll deal with it later and that was it. He walked away. I've written to corporate about it. I'm appalled. I know there's a lot of angry people today, but it is not cool to disparage anybody for who they are. I don't care what your situation is or how angry you are. It is not cool. You are representing a company when you're behind the counter, register or whatever. You are representing who you work for so you need to check your attitude and your personal beliefs at the door when you get to work.

While i went to cut and prepare them, i found each and every piece has a big bone with it. i had to literally scrape out meat from each bone. took them back, they offered me to take new packs, but they lady said they ran out of meat which is a common thing here. And the manager said as it is beef with bone,so each piece has a bone with it. and they are charging $5.99/lb for bones with meat. That's not how it works.I am buying beef with bone in dallas for last 15years. The owner has been changed. the middle eastern family is gone and handed it over to the Nepali owner. You can clearly see the differences. They refunded the amount, but i am never going back for beef at least.
