New island with lots of yummy suff!

This is our favorite neighborhood Kroger. Although it's a tad further than our closest Kroger, this one just had a major face-lift and now it's all shiny and bright inside. It features a wide selection of gourmet cheeses, an "olive bar" (along with other treats) as well as fresh-made sushi. Couple this with ample parking and proximately to a great little Italian restaurant (Niki's), and this Kroger is very convenient.

Only 3 stars because the person on the phone was nice. Wish the app was more accurate about what they have in stock.

Im very annoyed about those kind people's working in this Winco. Not nice to customers.

Very good grocery store. But it's been in steep decline and with the arrival of HEB to the area, we woke up and are examining the grocery landscape we've been blind to. We since have been coming here and we are very pleased! For starters, this place looks immaculate, totally spotless, so orderly and neat it's amazing. We even said "this place is roughy the same age as the Kroger up the road and this proves Kroger has no excuse to look so dilapidated, when THIS is possible in roughly the same area". It's so orderly, I couldn't help but even straighten up the voids I made in the products as we shopped like I worked there! Haa! I just respected it, you know? Anyway, the prices are on average a bit lower too, some by a lot! I believe the reason is they don't dabble in the annoying point system or the apps to try to hook shoppers into a "marriage" of sorts the way everyone does these days. To not even try to game shopper's behavior or try to track them at all they don't have to invest in it, so everything is straightforward and they have a lower overhead. I LOVE it. I'm done with having Kroger hook me into buying gas from them in a loop of trying to get the most out of points nonsense. Winco is the simple old way and I've missed it (and a little annoyed at myself for missing out all these years, but no more)! The checkout is great, staffed far more "human" than Krogers, and even have the choice in paper/plastic to optimize your sacking. The employees straight-up seem frankly happier to be there, and authentically, not robotically acting out a script. A nice bunch. They surely must be to actually try as hard as they do and it shows by just looking around. I could go on and on, we were very analytical about our "change-over" and we doubtless will be checking out HEB when they finally open, but regardless how good they are too, Winco has TOTALLY won us over and we will be coming back here regularly for good! Thanks, Winco!

I ordered a grass fed rib eye, short ribs, gravlax, sweet Italian sausage, and mild Italian sausage. I can't give everything 5 stars. The short ribs were way better than expected - I read lots of complaints about them being all fat, but mine were fantastic. We made a dinner out of them and used the leftovers to chop up into scrambled eggs this week for breakfast. The only issue I had there was that they come in a bag that is not vacuum sealed, so they looked really freezer burned and dry. I guess if the flavor was good, they were fine? But they really should consider vacuum sealing these. The rib eye was not as red as it should have been. It seemed a bit brown, as though it had slightly oxidized before being vacuum sealed. And it was very small, only 12 ounces. I expected at least a pound. Lox was very flavorful, albeit a bit leathery/dry. Again, like the rib eye, it seems like it was a bit oxidized before being vacuum sealed. Sausages were good - as long as you vacuum seal sausage, it's fine frozen and really just a matter of personal taste. Ordering and delivery process were easy and efficient. No complaints there. I will definitely try them again, with a keen eye on reviews of specific products so I know what to expect.
