After living in the Philippines for 11 years, moving back to the U.S. felt like culture shock…read more.. but in reverse. I'm talking Where's the Knorr? Why is the rice in tiny bags? What do you mean no lumpia wrappers?! Thankfully, we found Asian Market, and let me tell you -- it's like a mini balikbayan box exploded in here, in the best way possible. First stop: rice aisle. Yes, I said aisle, because this place doesn't play -- sacks of rice like it's harvest season every day. Then we spotted all the childhood favorites my kids basically grew up on: Knorr Liquid Seasoning, Chiz Curls, Mama Sita's everything, and sinigang mix for days and dried mangoes. They've got all the lumpia wrappers you could want -- thin ones, thick ones, different sizes, and even magical ones that don't tear when you roll them. Okay -- heads up: there is a bit of an odd smell in the store. Not bad, just... unmistakably "Asian grocery store" vibes. But honestly? I barely notice it anymore because I'm too busy living my best life in the snack aisle. For a Pinay mom raising half-Filipino, full-time hungry kids in West Virginia, this place is a legit blessing. We'll definitely be back. Probably too often. Like... see-you-next-week often. Salamat, Asian Market. You get me.

There is so much to check out, and not very expensive. They also sell the most adorable chinese teapots and cups, puppets, toys, oriental fans, buddahs, if you have not been here before...go! They also offer a wide variety of fresh seafood still crawling in the aquariums and tons of spices!!!

This happens every single time. Walmart clearly doesn't care about their customers -- only their bottom line. I'm done wasting my time, gas, and patience on a billion-dollar corporation that can't even manage an accurate inventory. I'll happily pay double somewhere else, because at least Amazon delivers what they promise. Enjoy losing your loyal customers one by one, Walmart. You've earned it.

AAA drops the car off along with me and my daughter. The Walmart tire associate tells me it will be about 4-5 hours because there are 10 people ahead. Problem, but no option other than to wait it out. Then he comes back and they do not have a single tire to put on my car. They offered no help, assistance, nothing. It's my problem. I asked for the store manager and he never showed up. Meanwhile I call Discount tire across the road. The man shows up at Walmart with a jack, takes my tire off, goes back to the shop and replaces my tire on my rim, comes back and puts the tire back on the car. Tells me to come over whenever I can to pay. Then he leaves. Discount tire did all that in less than 30 minutes when Walmart was telling me 5 hours! I'll never go back to Southridge Walmart for any reason!
