They are big and I wanted one but not enough room in the stomach for something this big so I opted for a small container of Egg Salad with 2 slices of Wheat bread cut in half in the container neatly packaged and sealed for $4.99 with todays day. The employee said everything made daily and fresh.. I also purchased some fresh produce some Cotton Candy Grapes about 1lb of those delicious little green globes. Total was $10.49 with taxes. The reason I am giving it a lower mark in the star scale is that within 2 hrs of eating the fresh Egg Salad I was so sick and I had to cancel my afternoon apt and visit the doctor. Needless to say, I will not order that again!! But I will definitely go back for some fresh fruit and veggies. I liked the location and I am not going to let one bad Egg Salad Sandwich stop me!! Yes, I said aisle, because this place doesn't play -- sacks of rice like it's harvest season every day. Then we spotted all the childhood favorites my kids basically grew up on: Knorr Liquid Seasoning, Chiz Curls, Mama Sita's everything, and sinigang mix for days and dried mangoes. They've got all the lumpia wrappers you could want -- thin ones, thick ones, different sizes, and even magical ones that don't tear when you roll them. Okay -- heads up: there is a bit of an odd smell in the store. Not bad, just... unmistakably "Asian grocery store" vibes. But honestly? I barely notice it anymore because I'm too busy living my best life in the snack aisle. For a Pinay mom raising half-Filipino, full-time hungry kids in West Virginia, this place is a legit blessing. I wish the vanilla extract was with the baking goods, and why are the organic bananas nowhere near the normal pesticide ones?? Caught them slipping there. The most noticeable thing I saw at 9:30am today was a rude clerk. a) She told a man in front of me (simply, plainly, rudely) "bring back my cart" as he stepped aside with a cart to bag his handful of items. b) I was getting 2 jars of pasta sauce and when one of them rang up as regular price, I told the clerk I didn't want it; She subtracted it then set the jar in my cart and mumbled something. I asked "what did you say." She said, "I put it there because you have to put it back." When I said I'm not going to take it back to the shelf, she raised her eyebrows and said "it's store policy." (In all my years of shopping at Aldi I never knew that.) I stepped away to bag my items and btw I could have easily taken that jar home with me but I set it on one of the checkout stands. I'm sad to see Aldi in such a sad shape. I wonder if they're going out of business.
