this place is awful. they will not answer the phone. trying to check on a delivery order

My husband and I visited this Kroger tonight to get some groceries and were impressed by the hospitality and cleanliness of the store. Everything was neatly placed and it wasn't hard to find what we needed. It was very open and spacious, which we felt made it even more welcoming. As well as having a clean interior, the staff made our visit a 5 star experience as they were very friendly and helpful. This is our first time in the Columbia area and we were pleasantly surprised how friendly this Kroger's location was. I would definitely recommend shopping here! Thanks, Kroger! read more

I bought a discounted. Pinwheel pastry that was inedible, out was. Basically ppig food .it should not have been sold and should have been thrown out..they would not refund my money and do not honor their food as edible if it's on clearance..I will not shop here for my personal food ever again. This place has gone downhill fast in the span of a year. They used to have stocked shelves. They used to have employees that cared about customers. They are CONSTANTLY dropping products that were almost always sold out saying "they didn't sell enough"...only to replace these very popular items with random off brand or odd flavors. We go up to Spring Hill's Kroger whenever possible now. read more

It never ceases to amaze me that they see that the lines are so long that people are backed up in the aisles that they don't open more registers. The management here is horrible. read more

I was just in there, spent 21.00 in self check out and before I got out the door the wheels on buggy locked up and young man that was working self check out lanes came out and I showed him my receipt, what a tacky way to treat customers, that right there told me I was not trusted. So be careful when using self check out. I did call the home office and the person I spoke to was not a good English speaking person. Kroger on James Campbell Blvd, I'm Columbia TN 38401. This store fails to disappoint in its long lines, unavailability of products and understaffing.

New to town and I hate to say it but this location is a total bust. I've been 3 times and every time they're out of just about everything I need and the produce is just gross. I'll make the drive to the Spring Hill location when needed. Parking is always tough as well. read more

Every single time that I go to these store, I have a different situation. Most of the time is with the employees from the Deli, they get mad when you ask for some kind of ham/turkey to sliced. No matter how early or late you visit the store, always have just only 1 register open. They need to fix the issue as soon as possible. read more

This is the only store in our area so unfortunately, we have to shop there. For the last six months or so there's been a serious fly problem in the deli and on the roasted chickens. The store basically allows flies to live in the meat area and does nothing about it read more

If you like checking yourself out and bagging your own groceries this is the place to go. Zero management.

If you do not like self checkout do not come in after 9pm. Went in at 9pm they had registers open. When we finished our shopping the only thing open was self checkout. This would have been ok if only had a few items NOT a full cart of groceries. Had to stop and wait after every few bags for the machine to catch up. Or wait for the employee to come over and hit some buttons in order to continue. When he was not busy talking to his friends. It took about 20 minutes to ring up all that I had and cash out. read more

More specialty items than your typical grocery store (fresh deli, fresh fish, a take out salad bar, fresh sushi) and clean with fair prices.

Sushi, organics, great breads (if we get tired of making our own), and all the regular grocery items right in the neighborhood. Kroger giveaways every Friday are pretty cool too. read more

Sorry guys here I am again! you can blame me all you want, call me an idiot, call me an asshole whatever but I've got to state this because you guys are screwing up so badly I used your pick up service and your app kept adding things that I didn't order meaning that it would double things and then I have to go back and change it then it wouldn't let order thing that by in-store only or I can get it in my order of a pick up or I can get it in delivery but I could not get that same item coming from the same store which should be where they come in she used to do the pick up or delivery you are picking from the same store so I'm not quite sure what that's all aboutme , shouldn't be any difference in how I buy things then It moved things to shipping which I didn't even asked to do so I'm not sure about that but anyway I got my order in for a pick up , I was on time called to let you know I was on my way got there gave you a text to give my spot and then you decide to text me change my time for a hour later we'll I'm already here I have to complain about this I think you you probably in time to call me so I wouldn't even left my home you should put yourself in the customers shoes you can apologize all you want but the customers already there it's up to you to try to fix this problem so it doesn't happen number one if you were running that far behind it probably would've been looking at all orders and get on the phone and make some ph calls and stopped any orders from being processed and let your customers know that you were really running behind so we're going to get the orders together and will call you to let you know if that's OK or at least allow the customer to cancel and say I can't pick it up at this time but you choose to lie and tell people that the order is gonna be ready in an hour which once again then found out you wanted me to pick it up the next day and I know If I had just Waited instead of asking questions through out all of this I would've been sitting there a long time and I don't appreciate a manager that I asked to have come out to my car even though he was a polite person he was not a nice person you know you can tell People in language like bless you heart and we all know what that means and that's a nice comment but it really isn't and so his tone of voice mattered to and so expect what you put out there because the customers going to say something it's going to offend you when you have that type of attitude now by me calling corporate office and complaining and telling them the story and then again re-ordering it myself the next day I finally did get my order however still not right you know I know people make mistakes but come on enough's enough you got to be more careful and if that means taking less orders and take more the with orders and get the job correctly than so be it . I just know this Kroger's on the north side of town has gone downhill since the south store open so much nicer store when I'm willing to drive there I don't have nearly the problems I have at this store I don't know why that is and not sure why you can't keep the people you employed over the years because I see a lot of turnover there but you need to understand this isn't your customers fault this is your fault so don't put it on us think about how and how you would want to be treated in the circumstance of disagreement and believe me I would've never treated a customer the way you all treated me and I'm just gonna say for the most part most of the employees are always very kind to me the employees that are working in the store that is not talking about managers as for management your job is to manage store that means that you should know all jobs so when you're shorthanded so you can put your weight into that and make it better for the employees that are falling behind not sure that that's really happening in your store. A mistake made is one thing lying to customers out right. it's just going down the rabbit hole of further disappointment in that customer eyes do as you please you know that we have to shop the only problem is is we're not gonna be happy shoppers there and you're gonna have to put up with a lot of crap when you do care to change things that are wrong or you can change it and try to have a better store and a better understanding for your customers and you will have a much pleasant experience every day read more

When I first moved to Columbia, I thought the Krogers were just fine ... prices comparable to Walmart but a real grocery store. It has steadily been getting bad to worse over the last few years. They often have empty shelves, even for basic things like eggs and bread. They've replaced many favorite things I used to buy with items three times the price (Knorr seasoned rice among others). They used to have great meat specials, but now just a few days ago, there was bologna in the discount bin that had turned green. It. Turned. Green. And instead of throwing it out, they marked it down. When the went to a mostly self checkout, there were long lines for the human clerks. When I mentioned to a manager that this wasn't cool, he scolded me for not liking it and told me to "Get used to it." I hate this store, Walmart is no better, and I hope the Publix that's supposed to be coming soon will be a reasonable alternative. read more
