My first time in this salon. I was concerned when I saw only one person working, as I had only a few hrs before my Granddaughter had to be at Girl Scouts. He assured me....20 minutes at most. FIFTY minutes later, we were rushed to the room. From there it only got WORSE........ I have the worst haircut ever!! There are blunt choppy cuts, missing gaps and my "to my eyebrow please" bangs are halfway up my forehead. I kinda look like I have a BAD mullet!! At one point, when he cut my bangs, I had water dripping down my face off my chin and a hunk of hair on the side of my nose. He took several minutes, finally got a towel and dabbed some of the water off my face, leaving the hair on my face and my chin dripping. I was stunned when he asked "How's that" as he was walking away ....at this point I just wanted to cry or scream. He was done. I asked to use his blow dryer for my dripping bangs, and dabbed my still wet face. He said yes. I dried my hair. he asked me how it was...an I told him, mind you, I was trying to hold myself together....I told him of all the chops and gaps...he said he thought it looked fine. I wanted to cry!! What a mess! He asked my Granddaughter into the chair i had gotten up from and blew her hair out. Asked me if it was short enough on the sides. All I could think of was getting her the heck out of that salon! So I said it was okay. I told him again at the cash register that my hair was horrible! My words were more like...this is not good, as I was trying to keep me cool. Again, he said he thought it looked fine, "what is wrong with it? he asked", and again I showed and told him of all the chops and gaps. "No, it looks fine, he says" I was holding on to my temper at this point, but said "LOOK!! this is not my first haircut (I am in my 50's), I know bad and this BAD" Well ,I am sorry you think so, and what to you want? To not pay for it?? He said. We agreed that I would only pay for my Granddaughters cut...which I only agreed to as I wanted to run (my fight or flight had kicked in!!) outa there crying. I have since called their customer service. Crying and blathering on about my experience. A year of growing my hair back from my Chemo was destroyed, I said. What was I to do about my lost 7 or 8 inches of hair. Now all hacked away. An my Granddaughters haircut? Matter of factually, the girl on the line agreed to refund me the $ for her cut. Wait...what about my hair?!? Oh, would you like to see the manager?? she asks. OMGosh!!! So, tomorrow I will meet with the manager to see what IF anything can be done to make my hair somewhat presentable. The name of the guy who cut my hair is Michael (in case there are 2 Michael's there, this gentleman was African American about in his...maybe in his 30's) Ohhhh I should say....he comp'd her conditioning treatment. Because of our initial wait, he said. Now wasn't that nice of him. ALSO....I have hunks missing out of the back of my hair. I didn't know this until my daughter gasped when she saw me. Had me turn around for her and really about fell out!! I didn't know about the back, as he did not give me a mirror. Check back, as I will post some pics once i can figure out if I can and how.

I'd go wherever, never really thrilled with the way my hair cuts would go... never knowing what I was missing. And then I went to Tanya's and my world expanded and grew more lovely. A haircut at Tanya's isn't just a hair cut. It's an experience. I arrive and can enjoy a cup of tea while I wait. I usually don't have to wait long, though, so I'll take my tea right back to the chair with me. After discussing what I want to do with my mane this time, I'm taking back for a shampoo in a dimly lit, spa style room. It's heavenly! And if that weren't enough, I receive a free facial every time I get my hair cut. It makes going to a hair appointment the best sort of self care. I see Brittini Fisk at the Crestview Hills location and have for several years now. She is fantastic! Super personable and super good at what she does. She is - and has been since the first haircut - been the only person I've truly trusted with my hair. Whether I'm rocking fringe bangs, donating 12" of locks, or just getting a trim, Brittini has handled it all with grace, ease and a slew of make-you-feel-good compliments. And if there's ever someone else at Tanya's who could serve me or a friend better, she tells me straight up (like when I asked about an updo for a friend's wedding or a friend wanted to dye her hair blue and needed someone with bleaching experience). I recommend Tanya's to all my friends. I probably always will. And even though I moved out of state this summer, my first haircut post move was with Brittini. Yes, I drove the two hours for a visit and booked an appointment. It's that wonderful. ;)

I had never bleached my hair but I trusted them because I saw they had decent reviews and charged 250$. My hair then turned orange after on the sides and later I went to the pool and it has now turned green. It's still green to this day and my hair is now completely ruined. I will never go there again and I suggest everyone else looks elsewhere.

I was seated right away after checking in and the place definitely has a spa vibe (colors, lighting, pleasant scent, comfy bench seating) vs. a typical nail salon and the pricing definitely reflects that--$65 for a spa pedicure. A free smoothie comes with a spa pedicure, which is a nice touch, but my nail tech disappeared for a full 15 minutes to make it. I specifically requested not to have my cuticles cut, but she seemed to ignore that. She also disappeared for another long stretch in the middle of the pedicure while my feet were soaking in an odd goo solution. I expected the pedicure to take no more than 1 hour so I got a little twitchy at how long the upfront soaking process took. She sped up the end when I asked so the whole thing took 1:15, but 2 women who were there when I arrived where still there when I left, so if you go, plan on a long, relaxing experience and budget 1:30 to be safe. This could definitely be a 4 star kind of place, but based on my experience this time vs. the price, I had to go with 3. I would go back though for another try though. Quick tip: if you subscribe to the Crestview Hills Town Centre email, they occasionally run specials in it.

My regular hairdresser spends 2 hours doing my hair and only charges $70! It is a shame these simple services, cost so much when so little time and very cheap materials are involved. Today, I'm trying Sableux. I haven't had good luck with their pedicures or massages, but maybe they can dye eye brows.
