Shawn took a look around, listened to what I had in mind, and thankfully told me what would or wouldn't work. He picked a beautiful quartz counter top, gave me options to choose from for the paint, faucet and hardware. He has a great team working for him. They were respectful and trustworthy. The refinished cabinets look like new. They do high quality work. He made his best effort to get things done within the time frame discussed but, as with any renovation, there were some unexpected issues that led to minor delays and affected cost. I really appreciated how his main concern was that I was happy with the end result. Before and in process photos attached (forgot to take a picture of the final product and don't want to clean the kitchen right now).

A thorough search LED us to Shawn and Create Interior Design. He came and met with us several times to explain his process and guide us through the entire project step by step. He drafted several design concepts based on our input and refined them until we were happy. After the basics had been locked down, it was much easier for us to choose specific tiles, colors and fixtures. The lifelike 3D renderings provided a clear vision of what the finished bathroom would look like, and removed all the guesswork and stress from this project. Shawn provided us with an extremely detailed list of every item and exact cost for the project including scheduling, permits, demo, construction, inspections and every material and fixture. It was clear that we were in experienced and competent hands. We chose to have Shawn and his team handle the project and complete all of the work period his crew was incredible. Each craftsman who worked on different parts of the remodeling was clearly a skilled professional with attention to detail and pride in their workmanship. They accommodated small changes and dealt with unforeseen issues as they occurred. Despite the scale and duration of this total remodel, they kept the work area much cleaner and more organized than we had expected. The finshed result is truly amazing. We now have a totally new bathroom which is the highlight of the entire house. We would highly recommend Create Interior Design and Shawn's thorough approach to designing, documenting, organizing and implementing your home remodeling dream project.

A Masterful Designer & Project Manager - Highly Recommend!…read more After experiencing severe water damage in our kitchen, we initially set out to remodel just that space. However, as we got deeper into the process, we quickly realized how overwhelming it was without a designer. What started as a kitchen renovation soon expanded into a full home transformation--kitchen, bathrooms, family, living, and dining rooms--all of which desperately needed an update from their original 1992 construction. After months of searching and interviewing designers, we found Alina Druga Interiors. My wife was especially drawn to her award-winning designs, and after glowing reference checks, we confidently hired her for both the design and project management phases. From the very beginning, Alina brought a sense of clarity and structure to what had been a chaotic and overwhelming process. One of Alina's greatest strengths is her ability to ask the right questions to truly understand her clients' style and needs. She introduced us to ideas we would never have considered, while also being straightforward and honest about what would or wouldn't work--and, more importantly, why. She has a gift for refining ideas into something cohesive, tasteful, and elegant. Beyond her impeccable design skills, Alina is extremely detail-oriented and proactive. She spotted potential construction issues early on, saving us from costly mistakes. Her detailed CAD drawings were invaluable in helping us visualize the design and made things significantly smoother for our contractor. Thanks to her meticulous planning and years of experience, the entire process was well-organized--so by the time construction began, every material, appliance, and detail was already accounted for. While the preparation process took about a year, the actual construction went remarkably smoothly and was completed in just four months. Now, every time we walk through the door, we feel happy and relaxed in our beautifully designed home. It truly feels like the house we've wanted for years--our happy place! Alina's expertise, organization, and eye for design transformed our home into something modern, inviting, and perfectly suited to our lifestyle. If you are looking for a designer who is not only talented but also an exceptional project manager, we highly recommend Alina Druga Interiors!

Alina assisted first with the design and came up with a layout that took into account all of the things we desired as well as true having functionality. What would have taken us weeks to decide on was narrowed down to just one meeting where Alina presented us with beautiful options which made it easy to make decisions quickly. Lastly we met to choose our plumbing fixtures. Alina was incredibly helpful at choosing fixtures that were high quality, looked beautiful and still fit within our budget. Overall, she was a wonderful to work with - friendly, professional, efficient and with great attention to detail. I would highly recommend her services.

From the time he first entered our home, his attitude felt threatening towards my wife and I. We have different standards for what is important and we observed much frustration from him towards us when we asked about the issues we were seeing which of course was not our intention. I have spoken directly to Hunter Douglas corporate. They were very helpful in trying to problem solve and they identified solutions to many of the issues, but stated we need to work with our client representative from The Danville Int Des Gallery. It has been 8 weeks since the blinds were installed (one blind and another facia have yet to be installed). I send our client representative an email or call every two weeks in hopes of hearing her progress in identifying someone to finish the job and remediate the issues. We have yet to see any progress or feel prioritized. We are very hopeful they will fix the issues. We spent $30,000 on new blinds in hopes of appreciating the value of our home, however, it is quite embarrassing when the first thing guests ask when walking into our home is "what happened to your blinds?"

We have a living room with the 20 foot ceiling that opens up to a loft on the 2nd floor. The issue over the years was entertaining as the noise between the loft and living room was fighting each other. In our mind we needed an interior designer and a project manager as our initial thoughts was to build up a wall to separate the two areas, but the intent of the open space in the original design was to allow flow between the two rooms. So we had the idea to build up the wall to separate the space and add a shutter system to allow the space to open for the original intent. In working with Judy she assumed the role of interior designer and project manager as we expected to have a contractor involved in build up the wall to separate the space. We wanted an interior designer to also be involve in how the wall was to be designed as we had dual purpose for this, separate the rooms for noise but yet allow access if needed or required. She takes the time to understand tastes of me and my wife individually. She also provides CAD (computer animated design) previews of her ideas. As the project expanded she accommodated our changes as we included a home theater expansion in our plans. We asked that our living room not look like a home media center and she came up with extremely tasteful ideas that worked for us. We love the space that she has created and it's been a blessing. As a project manager she took away the stress of dealing with the contractors and as an interior designer worked with us to achieve a look and feel that worked both with me and my wife. Will use her again in a New York minute.

But from day one, Jill exceeded our expectations. The project involved tearing down an old, dilapidated screened-in porch that had never really worked for us -- too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer -- and transforming it into a usable interior room. We wanted to keep the light and airy feel of a porch while gaining insulation, comfort, and year-round usability. We also wanted ideas for built-ins: maybe a window seat, maybe bookshelves -- we weren't quite sure. Other contractors over the years had taken one look at the porch and declined to get involved due to its age and condition. Not Jill. She had ideas right away. Jill brings so much energy, creativity, and practical knowledge to the table. Even while juggling big personal commitments (like her son's graduation across the country), she delivered several strong design ideas within a few weeks -- and they were fresh, inspiring, and budget-conscious. She collaborated easily with our civil engineer, adjusting her drawings quickly to meet his needs. She also understands our local codes and regulations really well, and met directly with our contractors to make sure her designs were realistic and executable before we got too far into the process. On top of all that, Jill has a fantastic personality. She made the experience fun and engaging, and she brought a sense of momentum and confidence that really helped us move forward. I can't recommend Jill highly enough -- her creativity, responsiveness, and enthusiasm make her a true gem. If you're considering working with TANGERINEdesign LLC, you're in excellent hands.
