This place couldn't get any worse. We took the kids here for dessert after a birthday outing. It would help if the employees would speak up instead of mumbling in a whisper so customers could hear what they are speaking. We also ordered a 3 pk of "hot" regular glazed doughnuts to go to take to my in-law. When she opened the box, they were still warm but one of the doughnuts was the size of an Oreo. Who does that! We love Krispy Kreme I have been going there since I was a child and I'm in my late 60s now. But for the last year or so, the people who work there have been rude, nasty-mouthed, and more! We went there one night several months ago and we waited and waited while 3 employees waited on one man and his child talking and laughing. Finally, a young "child" (and yes it was a child) came to take our order, and everything we asked for they were out of she said except for Barbie doughnuts. But we saw some of what we asked for on the shelve. We were wearing Trump T-shirts and they kept looking at us like we don't want you here! And the conveyor belts behind them were full of doughnuts all around all of the belts. Finally one of the adults that was waiting on the man and child came over to us. And she was no help at all and was very rude! We left and haven't returned until Thursday, January 23rd.2025. They acted like they didn't want to help my husband but finally did. But an older man came in and asked a woman did they had any fresh hot regular doughnuts and she made an ugly face twice as to say no and shook her head. And bless his heart he just stood there a minute and then in a hateful voice she said "Nope"! My husband felt so sorry for the man because he was a nice man. Then as my husband was checking out one of the workers a young man came up front and the woman ringing my husband up asked where the young man was going. And he replied "I'm taking my wife to the hospital her hand is swollen" and she said something else and the young guy looked at her and she said, "Oh I'm just fucking with you"! This happened while my husband was trying to pay. This is ridiculous. And not good workplace ethics at all! And our chances of going back are getting very few to not! Came in to grab a dozen to go and although the young lady that helped me was very sweet, upon checkout I asked if they offered a military discount the young man abruptly sad NO. I was taken back since all of the KK places I've visited acros the states, this was the first one that didn't offer it. Or the young kid didn't think it was necessary to offer. Irregardless, if they did or didn't offer it, I would have been ok but the manner in which he responded was very rude and inappropriate. I will look for others to try since I don't live in this area. Krispy Kreme in Spartanburg S.C. on 3/ 22/ 24 had the Hot &Now sign on There were approximately 4 cars in front of me. Two of them proceeded in a timely manner. The third car stayed at the window past 13 to 15 min. I had to leave. I called back to complain about the un normal wait time. I was told by someone at Krispy kream that that's normal wait time. That is a lie. Never ever has it taken that long. It was rude and I hope the person holding the line gets a sugar coma plus diabetes from being inconsiderate. Gas is to high to sit and just wait. During Panther Season you were awarded points for their score without purchase. Good deal. I racked up over 400 points from football games alone. I received an email informing me all points prior to 2018 would expire on 3/31 so below is what I "cashed" my points in for. A free dozen premium donuts of my choice +3 extra. I Waited for the "Hot & Now" sign and my family enjoyed a late night treat. The service was friendly and helpful. There was a line of customers at 10PM. I would recommend the App even if you don't shop there often. The points add up quickly. Like another reviewer, I too have experienced the grumpy, rude, and arrogant older female employee. Krispy Kreme donuts are wonderful. Coffee is always fresh and hot. This location has THE most horrible customer service I've EVER experienced. Yesterday I placed an online order through the Spartanburg, SC location. (I live in NC). I ordered 6 dozen to be delivered to the nurses on the ICU floor at the hospital. These nurses took exceptional care of my mother a few weeks ago, my mom passed away and I wanted to do something nice for the nurses...especially during this pandemic. Krispy Kreme uses Door Dash for deliveries, which I didn't realize when my order was placed - they don't tell you this until you get an email confirmation. Door Dash picked up my $75 order, but never delivered to the hospital. So, I called the KK location. The first woman I spoke to told me it's my problem because they made the order and it was picked up. I told her I wasn't trying to be confrontational, I simply needed her help. She hung up on me! I called back and the manager answered. He accused me of hanging up on his employee (um, why would I call back if I hung up? ‍). He, also, told me not his problem, that they were very busy. I asked him if he understood I placed a $75 order with his store that wasn't delivered. He told me I didn't place it with HIS store, because I placed it online. Huh? He told me it was Door Dash's fault and I'd have to take it up with them. My order specifically instructed me to call that KK location if there was an issue with delivery. He told me again they were very busy and hung up on me! So...I called back! This time he was even more rude! I asked for the owners name, he wouldn't give it to me. I asked for their corporate number and he told me they are located in Winston Salem and that I could look it up. He then told me "don't call here again!" and hung up on me for the third time!!! I am out $75 of donuts and got treated like dirt. During this pandemic, so many restaurant workers are out of jobs. Restaurant owners and workers should be thrilled they have a job and appreciate their customers. Instead of a "thank you" or an "I'm sorry, but I'll try to help you", I was treated with hostility and bullying. I am still in complete shock! I totally understand that the issue may lie with Door Dash. However, I didn't choose them as my delivery service, KK did. I paid for a $75 order that was never delivered. In my opinion, it's KK's fault until I receive the product I paid for. This manager and the other woman there are horrible to customers and need to be replaced with one of the many food workers with out a job that actually want one. I grew up in Sptg, went to college across the street and have visited this Krispy Kreme (old and new location) many, many time when I lived there. I will NEVER go back to that location and will tell all of my family and friends in Sptg about my experience!! UPDATE: we contacted Kristy Kreme's corporate office in Winston Salem the next day after this horrible experience. The very nice and understanding customer service representative assured us the district manager would contact us within a few days to get this resolved. It's now over a week later, no follow up call from corporate, no call from the district manager, no doughnuts and still out $75!!! This is all beyond unbelievable! I'm appalled at how KK treats a long time customer. I basically feel like they stole $75 from me and treated me horribly at the same time. I love a good hot doughnut! The staff was polite. The service was as quick, as can be expected, when the drive-thru line is wrapped around the building! The doughnuts were delightful as always! I really missed fresh doughnuts living in Alaska. However, two years ago or so, KK came to Alaska! You should have seen the line. I bet the Most Northern KK is in Anchorage, AK! Who can fault Krispy Kreme? They serve delicious donuts in myriad varieties. There is surely a flavor or taste to please every palate. The trick is to have strong will power before you go in! I enjoyed a crueler. They were out of the one I wanted but the sour cream crueler was better than expected. Then there's that hot light beckoning you to come on in. I always tell myself the rude service is worth the donuts but my gosh, it is not that hard to be nice to customers. I ordered a mobile order, 3 hours in advance, because it was 3 dozen and i wanted to give them enough time. I waited in line like everyone else, to let them know i was here. I sent the order to 3pm and arrived at 3:15. I wanted to give them as much time as possible. The lady was very rude about it. I asked how she was doing today, and that I had a mobile order to pick up for Taylor. She looked me up and down and said well you are going to have to wait until we get the people behind you. I could see my order done and completed directly behind her. I sat and waited for 20 more minutes until finally I hot back in line and waited again. A different lady was up there and she went straight the boxes that had been sitting there for over 20 minutes and put them in a bag and gave them to me. I wanted to place an online delivery order but the option for the assorted donuts wasn't available. I don't eat donuts often but by it being Easter Sunday, I decided to treat myself and the family. I called to the location just to check if they had other donuts available and I received the warmest assistance from the woman who answered the phone. She transferred me to the Manager Mr. Lester and he was awesome. He assured me that they did have other options and since the online system wasn't allowing me to select the donuts I wanted, he took the order down himself. We were driving by this afternoon and saw that the hot sign was on, so my husband insisted that we go get some hot and fresh donuts! We waited in line inside for about 10 minutes before a man asked what we wanted. While we were in line however, we noticed that the "hot and fresh" donuts were just sitting out on the machine, being packaged very slowly. We told the man we wanted a dozen of the hot original glazed, and he went and got us a box that had been sitting there already for a few minutes. He then told us to come to a specific register, set our box down next to it, and left to help other customers. There were about 8 people working in there, yet we stood at that register for 10 minutes without anyone even looking at us. We felt like just screaming out for someone to help us, especially because he specifically told us to go to that register. There was only one lady checking people out at another register, so we just decided to go in her line. The employees were working very inefficiently, one girl just mindlessly walking around, all while we were staring her down seeing if she would just check us out! Also, most employees were wearing masks, but most of their noses weren't covered, and one man wasn't wearing one at all. So being the person I am, I thought I would start with hello are you ladies doing ok. She said, what would you like. Ingave her my order and she proceeded to place the doughnut in the box, i stopped her to ask could she put on a glove. This white guy with a Krispy Kreme shirt and coffee goes up to her a suggest she use the tissue paper.So I asked her was it a problem get the glove. He responded by telling me they don't wear gloves to service the customers. If the customer ask they can put one on otherwise no use the tissue paper. I told him if he is the manager or owner maybe he needs to make some adjustments in the training process because thats not sanitary.
