As for the Pistachio Doughnut, the filling was smooth and creamy, but I could barely taste any pistachio, which was a little disappointing. With so many tempting options, it's honestly hard to decide what to eat. One thing I really appreciated was that many vendors offered samples, so you could try before you buy. During our visit, we sampled the famous chocolate covered strawberries, paella, and wild mushroom risotto. I also bought the Black Pig Honey Truffle Parm sandwich. The chocolate covered strawberries were exactly what you'd expect, fresh strawberries coated in chocolate. If you enjoy that classic combination, you'll probably love them, but they weren't anything particularly special to me. The paella had great flavor, but the rice was a little undercooked for my taste, so I wasn't a fan of the texture. The wild mushroom risotto was the standout. It was rich, creamy, packed with earthy mushroom flavor, and had an excellent texture. It was easily one of my favorite bites of the day. I also tried the Black Pig Honey Truffle Parm sandwich. The bread was fantastic, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, and the fennel apple slaw added a refreshing crunch. Unfortunately, the pulled pork was very dry. I think it would have been much better if the pork had been kept warm in its own juices instead of continuing to cook on the griddle. That would have kept it moist and tender. As it was... the pulled pork was dry as hell. :) One thing every vendor had in common was friendly and welcoming customer service. Despite how busy and crowded the market gets, the atmosphere is lively, energetic, and full of people enjoying great food. It's definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves trying a variety of foods in one place.

There is nowhere to sit, it is a takeaway spot. They man serving us was very patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted from all the options. It's good to treat yourself once in a while, and Krispy Kreme's are a must have treat. The store provides the best doughnuts you can find within the UK. The classic glazzed are irresistible. Other doughnuts include Chocolate, as well as ones stuffed with mouthwatering flavours such as Blueberry, Custard, crème etc. The price of the doughnuts is rather expensive compared to supermarket ones. For example you can get 4 doughnuts from Sainsbury's Supermarket for 99p, where's at Krispy Kremes you can get just under 1. But as they say, you get what you pay for: Taste wise Kripsy kremes are miles ahead of anyone else. Now and they they also have a limited edition doughnut. Often the stores run some promotions, so the more you buy the more you save. Lovely treat. To wash the doughnuts down they sell coffees, teas etc to go, which again is some of the best tasting drinks around! read more

OMG Krispy Kreme..and I thought my only reason for going back to London was a date with the V&A!!! I first found Krispy Kreme in Chicago and knew that I had discovered the best doughnuts known to man.(Prior to that it had been a hot doughnut ring cooked in a vat of oil at a market in Carmaux,France and then doused in freshly squeezed orange juice and sugar as a child). As a card carrying chocaholic this truly is heavenly,more calories - remember it is simply a greek word that means energy - than you could force in to Fern Cotton and more flavours than Willy Wonka could dream of. This franchise of Krispy Kreme's is located in Victoria Station, close to the platforms for Departure to Kent, and directly to the left of WH Smiths. The staff are always smiling here and its a really great place to come, you can buy one doughnut but i've never done that, Krispy Kremes are for sharing so I always buy the box, it costs over a tenner but you get 6 different kinds of doughnut twice and you make lots of new friends this way at work or college, its pricy for doughnuts and they are the kind of things you either love or hate, but I like the sugary content I just have to keep my fix to a couple per month or else i'd be piling on the pounds quicker than I spend them!!! read more

Krispy Kremes are absolutely gorgeous - so tasty! They are a lot more expensive than other donuts but I think it's totally worth it - I can really taste the difference! Look out for stores doing promos. Sometimes they give freebie testers out for new flavours - last time I went they were giving out half donut size testers! Definitely worth dropping buy and picking one up. Especially good if you're always on the go as obviously you can just buy one and eat it on the way to work etc as I always do. Not good for the waistline but oh so delicious! read more

absolutely yummy are these donuts. I usually get a couple to take into work with me and eat them throughout the day. The choice is very huge and i love the raspberry and white chocolate taste. They cost about a quid each but they are massive and taste lovely so they are well worth paying that for them. You can buy boxes of them at a dozen but they are about 6 quid and to me that is just too much for donuts so i stick to about 3. They can be cooked fresh for you or are already cooked and in the counter ready to be bagged. read more

Krispy Kreme's have to be the best donuts in the world! From USA to Indonesia you seem always to be able to pick up one of these doughnuts any where. Their original glazed doughnuts are amazing! One is never enough. There wide selection of different topped doughnuts means there is always something for everyone. Krispy Kreme to me has beaten Dunkin Doughnuts. They taste so much better and the fact I can also buy them in my local Tesco's Express is great! Okay the bad bit is the price hence the 4 rating! read more

The distinctive sugary smell wafted across to me in the cold November air before I'd even clocked the large, neon Krispy Kreme sign on the other side of the car park. I decided this meant I should stuff my face with donuts. We didn't take the drive-thru option as we weren't 100% sure what we wanted, so we took a wander inside. They've set it up like a '50s American diner, one of the girls serving had made an effort to look a little retro herself although the others clearly hadn't so I think that was her own choice rather than a set rule. Good on ya girl! It was somewhat cold and sterile inside and I have to agree with SJ that the car park outside seemed a little rough, however we weren't planning on staying and the staff were friendly and efficient so we left, VERY happy with 4 donuts of our choice and 2 complimentary donuts. The complimentary donuts were WARM and soooo tasty! My only regret was not buying a cup of tea to eat them with. You kind of know what you're getting with a Krispy Kreme, yes they're a bit overpriced and yes they are 1,000% sugar and oh so bad for you but DAMN they're good! I could eat a box of a dozen on my own and still have room for more...but maybe that's just me...

The service is excellent here, and the drive through is usually pretty fast and friendly. Sure, the doughnuts are overpriced, and you spend a great deal of the time fearing for your life...but where else can you get doughtnuts this good in England so late at night? Nowhere, I assure you. Just be sure to lock the doors and wear your bullet proof vest. Still, I think the local color makes it even more interesting.

And, they always have unique seasonal options that run out rather early in the day, like the Pumpkin Spice and Mulled Wine doughnuts in the Fall and Winter, and the popular Lemon &Thyme doughnuts in the Summer. The regular favorites are nothing to roll your eyes at either, though. We're talking crunchy & gooey peanut with jelly doughnuts- with actual peanuts- matcha green tea, banana cream, and even coffee flavors. All of them taste amazing and are made fresh every day. They even have a few vegan options to satisfy the pickier of the bunch. In addition to doughnuts, they also make some of the best coffee and ice cream- and best coffee ice cream- I've tasted yet in London. And, as with the doughnuts, the ice cream comes in unique and satisfying flavors, in easy-to-carry single serve containers that make it easy to eat on the run. The only downside to most Crosstown establishments is that most are too small and cramped to really enjoy your treat in; especially during the busy hours. This one, in particular, only has a few seats inside. However, it is a nice place to sit for people-watching, if you can manage to snag one. And let's face it, you're not exactly in the ugliest part of London. Just make sure you don't get any jelly on you as you eat and walk; most of these suckers are filled to the nines with jelly or custard. My favourite combination is vanilla sugar, salted caramel sauce, sprinkles, and marshmallows. My only complaint is that they can be difficult to track down and aren't in one place consistently each week. But if you can find them, it is well worth it!
