Peanut butter and black currant compote donut.
Meghan D.

I don't even know where to begin!! I'd heard of this place once through an ad on Instagram of all places - there was a short video depicting the process of creating a beetroot donut with lemon crumbles and thyme, and the donut was bright pink. Lucky for me, we had a trip planned to visit the London tattoo convention, which was only a mile or two away from one of the locations, so I was dying to visit. I absolutely LOVE pastries, and I'm always up for trying new, unique flavor combinations, so this seemed like a place I totally had to try. I was NOT disappointed. We ended up walking over a mile to get here, but it was totally worth it. It seemed as though there were a limited number of donuts we could choose from, but they were all very different, and they looked awesome. The shop itself was very small, and seating was very limited, so this place definitely catered to those who were just picking up a treat and leaving, but we were able to find a couple stools against the window to enjoy our donuts. I chose the peanut butter and black currant, and my boyfriend opted for a simple vanilla bean glazed (which still looked super yummy). Everything tasted fresh, and the two girls working behind the counter were very friendly and very polite. It made the experience all the better!! The donuts themselves are pricey (£7.50 for two donuts), but worth every penny, and are totally good for any time you feel like splurging. The shop delivers, too, which is rad. If I lived in London I fee I'd be ordering from them all the time!! I'd no doubt recommend this place to anyone and everyone that even remotely likes baked goods. I had such an awesome experience, and was so satisfied by the donut and the service. Next time I'm in town, I know I'll definitely be back!

Dark chocolate truffle and peanut butter and jelly

We walked passed by here while visiting London. The second time, bae said we had to get something because they had good ratings on yelp. What we got: - Dark Chocolate Truffle: this was alright, it was petty good. If you're a dark chocolate lover like myself, you'll enjoy this. But nothing about it stood out to me. Taste like a regular (dark) chocolate donut to me - Peanut Butter and Jelly: OH MY GAWD. This was SO BOMB. If we knew it was this good, we would've gotten TWO or THREE of these baddies. If you stop by, and if there's any left (cos they run out of flavors quickly), you must try this baby We actually didn't eat these until the next day because we were so full from dinner and couldn't afford to fit anything else in our body. But they were just as good, we microwaved it and devoured it in 2 minutes.

Always a good time at Crosstown. Our previous visit was at the Shoreditch location so was excited to find this location near Piccadilly. We tried the peach donut this time and it did not disappoint. Just the right amount of glaze, moist, and a very good peach pie like filing.

My friend recommended me to try this store and I absolutely love it! I had the matcha donut and it had matcha cream on the inside which was unexpected. I've never had a donut this delicious before I will definitely come back to try more flavors Update - I came back because I love the donuts here and wanted to try more. I got the coconut lime and it did not disappoint!!! There was sweet filling inside and it was so good. It makes me want to go back even more.

3 delicious, freshly baked doughnuts.

Loved the dough, so fluffy and light! Perfect level of sweetness and very well balanced flavours. We tried the peanut butter and blackcurrant (my absolute favourite of the 3 we tasted), a banana and sea salted caramel which was delicious and light and a classic raspberry filled which was very good, great dough but not crazy about the raspberry filling, still fantastic though. Worth a visit to any of their locations. On the same day we tried a doughnut time doughnut but croostown won hands down!

First row is all vegan

Visiting London Today and we got off the Gatwick Express and as we were looking for breakfast and I saw a sign for vegan doughnuts!! I am starving but decided to come grab one before breakfast. Absolutely Delicious!!! I ordered the Beetroot and Lemon Thyme Doughnut and I was very impressed with the combination of flavors. If you hit the city definitely swing by here, they also have regular doughnuts but you will be satisfied!

Peanut Butter Berry + Crème Brûlée doughnuts with a fresh Americano + cool view of Piccadilly.

Visiting the stellar shops of London's West End on a below-freezing day brought the energy levels of my fiancée and I down to zero. In desperate need of an energy boost, Crosstown Doughnut's Piccadilly location was the place of destiny for afternoon snack time. We both took advantage of the £5 doughnut + coffee deal, ordering two Americanos and these doughnuts: Peanut Butter Berry (square sourdough doughnut with a peanut butter glaze, blackcurrant compote, topped with toasted peanuts) and Crème Brûlée (sourdough doughnut filled with vanilla custard, topped with blowtorched caster sugar). Both doughnuts were absolutely delectable and it was evident that a high level of culinary love was put into these handmade daily desserts! Combined with our quality craft coffees, my fiancée and I were happy, rejuvenated, and ready for more shopping in Soho.

Donuts here were very fresh and they had many different unique flavors that I wanted to try. While staying in London for about two weeks I visited this donut shop twice during my time at Piccadilly Circus. They will not disappoint as I believe every donut here tastes amazing. The donuts I had were the matcha and mud pie donut and both were fresh. One bite into the donuts and I knew I would be back! Also... as a plus the donuts are pretty healthy as they aren't fried. Apart from the donuts i also had the hot chocolate which was pretty regular and didn't have an unique aspect to it. Overall this place is a great little resting stop for a quick dessert to eat!

I had to have one and it was a full on move of perfection. The top of it was charred like creme brulee should be, and the creme was cold enough to be inside a donut. My girlfriend got one with organic strawberry jam and enjoyed an ice coffee along with it. The owner was very nice and looked out for our needs. its a cute little spot and if you're going to shop, nothing would be better than to start off with something perfectly sweet to the taste.

This small establishment has a lot to offer beyond donuts, but the donuts are definitely the star of the show. I had the banoffee donut and my sister had the kinder bueno and neither of us regretted our decision. They were scrumptious. The dough was perfect, like a cloud and even though they look really over the top, they are not overly sweet (I don't know how they do that, it's magic, haha). There is nowhere to sit, it is a takeaway spot. They man serving us was very patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted from all the options. He was friendly and gave us some ideas on what to order. We still took an age to decide, but that was ok, because we were swaying to the awesome playlist they sharing though they're speakers.

Harrods Food Hall - Tea and their amazing (whole!) olive breadsticks

Harrods Food Hall

Tip: You must visit this food hall. It's awesome!…read more You know what? When there's a listing for a department store food hall, you know that it's good. No, not good. Fantastic! I was at this food hall in December 2013. It's located on the ground floor of this large department store. The displays are extremely fancy and captivating. I recall seeing mini cakes that looked yummy. Even the fruit in the display case, as in apples, pears, and more, looked amazing and in pristine condition. The pastries looked scrumptious. I could smell the croissants! You can get sandwiches, from egg salad to lobster rolls. Feel like steak and chips? Yep, you can get them here, too. I frankly couldn't tell you what you can't get here. I felt like a dream seeing so much good food, but it wasn't. It's definitely worth a visit, whether you end up browsing like me because the prices were steep or you end up splurging. There was a wine section that had shiny bottles of fancy wine varieties. You could get cheese to complement your wine. Everything in this store looked beautiful and elegant. I would do a few things differently when I return to this food hall: - I'd do afternoon tea. I'd actually splurge to experience tea here because I didn't realize that I could until after my Harrods visit. - I'd find a hotel room with a fridge, so I could bring back pastries, macarons, sandwiches, and more. - I'd dine here to experience the entire food hall experience instead of dining at a restaurant within Harrods. The more I reminisce about where I've been in London, I want to return! (55)

Normally I wouldn't buy bottled water, but I couldn't resist -- this water was so pretty and looked so refreshing, with pieces of fruit in it. (We bought one with cucumber and one with bright pink dragon fruit.) For two sandwiches and two bottles of water, it came to £28.50. Not particularly inexpensive with the currency conversion (ouch!) but much cheaper than going out for lunch. Also, the sandwiches were delicious! It's a shame that we couldn't find the food hall when we had first visited Harrods two days prior. [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; London, England]
