Donut Series, Part 7 "It's always a good time." Doughnut Time Well can you argue their point? Is there ever a bad time for a doughnut? Well probably, but do any of those occasions immediately come to mind? Nah, I didn't think so. We enjoyed our selections (a "Do'h Nut" and a "Santa Bae Bae") and they were both Vegan offerings. For those not into that sort of thing they also have non-Vegan options. Fun fact: This location is literally next door to the book shop interior that inspired various scenes in the movie "Notting Hill." Those scenes were actually filmed at Shepperton Studios, and the exterior shots were actually of a shoppe round the corner, but the interior of this store brings back vivid mems of the movie immediately upon your entrance. Be sure to visit...and then go back to your hotel and watch the movie. That's the easiest date night recommendation that you're gonna get so we won't even charge you for that one. And that's...Henry's Take. #nottinghill #datenightadvice

Recently on a trip to London I stumbled upon Doughnut Time. These doughnuts are pretty good, not the best I have had, and deff not the cheapest, but the different flavors are pretty awesome. This location is located right outside of China Town. The doughnuts have all different flavors. The names of the doughnuts are pretty darn cool as well. They have doughnuts that have a lot of fun toppings and are fun to eat as well. I would say that the actual doughnut is not the best I have ate. The body of the doughnut I am sure is really good fresh but this was not that way. It was a cake doughnut and it was kinda stale as if it had been made early in the morning. It would have been way better if it was fresh! The price for these bad boys is through the roof expensive. Something like 5 or 6 pounds per doughnut. Also, this place has lots of drinks but not milk. I would hope they would get this! I did enjoy this place, but next time I may go earlier in the day to get fresh doughnuts!

This place took me by storm, and sent both me and my taste buds in to donut heaven already after the first bite! I saw the place by coincidence while walking down the street, and just by the amazing look of their doughnuts through the window, there was no question whether to try them or not. I was with my brothers, and we went for the Stranger Rings, Gay time and Life on Mars donuts. Absolutely incredible, all of them, even though Stranger Rings came out as number one. This one has chokolate glaze, nutella filling and cookie crumbs on it. Not only were they supertasty, but they were also HUGE! To all you donut-lovers out there hanging out in London, do go to this place and enjoy their insanely good tasting donuts.

The price was very reasonable for the size of the doughnut. The unique flavor pairings and fillings especially were unique and delicious. An absolute treat if you have a major sweet tooth!

Well, I TRIED to walk past this place without walking in, but that didn't go so well ended up buying a 4 pack and they were all awesome. They have such a variety of unique donuts that appeal to all taste buds. The service was super helpful and friendly as well!

On a recent trip to London I heavily relied on yelp and maps, this place came highly recommended. Overall great donuts. Variety was wide and staff was friendly. Reasonable prices. You need a serious sweet tooth to eat more than one as they are a bit overbearing, but totally worth it.

great location, great flavors and great names! a little pricey, but that's to be expected for the novelty of the item

While my wife was geeking out over the Notting hill bookstore, I was geeking out over this doughnut with Nutella in it.

I had to have one and it was a full on move of perfection. The top of it was charred like creme brulee should be, and the creme was cold enough to be inside a donut. My girlfriend got one with organic strawberry jam and enjoyed an ice coffee along with it. The owner was very nice and looked out for our needs. its a cute little spot and if you're going to shop, nothing would be better than to start off with something perfectly sweet to the taste.

This small establishment has a lot to offer beyond donuts, but the donuts are definitely the star of the show. I had the banoffee donut and my sister had the kinder bueno and neither of us regretted our decision. They were scrumptious. The dough was perfect, like a cloud and even though they look really over the top, they are not overly sweet (I don't know how they do that, it's magic, haha). There is nowhere to sit, it is a takeaway spot. They man serving us was very patient as we tried to figure out what we wanted from all the options. He was friendly and gave us some ideas on what to order. We still took an age to decide, but that was ok, because we were swaying to the awesome playlist they sharing though they're speakers.

Honestly, after The Ledbury got its third star, I was a little worried it might get too "precious"…read moreor stiff. I've been to enough 3-star spots in London where the food looks like a science experiment but tastes like nothing. Thankfully, Brett Graham is still keeping it real. The plating is genuinely stunning--the kind of art where you actually want to stop and take a photo--but the best part is that it's actually delicious. It's food you genuinely enjoy eating, not just something you admire for the technique. The pigeon courses were the absolute standout for me. They serve it in stages, which I loved. You get this perfectly glazed breast that is so tender it's basically like butter, followed by a little "snack" of the leg that has this incredible deep, smoky flavor. It's rare to find a place that treats game with that much respect without overcomplicating it. If you're on the fence, definitely go for the wine pairing. The Sommelier was a total legend--super approachable, no snobbery, and clearly obsessed with what's in the cellar. The pairings were exceptional and honestly made the meal for me. They aren't just pouring the standard labels; they're finding really interesting stuff that makes the earthy notes in the pigeon pop. Price-wise, it's a 3-star Michelin in Notting Hill, so it's going to be a hit to the wallet. It's on par with the other big names in the city, but it felt worth every penny for a special night out. The service is polished, but they don't make you feel like you're sitting in a library--you can actually have a laugh and enjoy yourself. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in London. Period. Elite Tip: If they have the signature mushroom tartlet on the menu when you go, don't even think about it--just eat it.

I brought two dozen of America's greatest export and for most of the day, they sat uneaten! A meeting with my peers and colleagues in London, I figured I would bring a treat. A dozen regular and a dozen assorted. Let me tell you, it was a hassle to carry that box on the Circle Line from Paddington to Victoria. Somehow, the boxes managed to survive without casualties and made it to the conference room table. They did eventually get eaten (I had only two all day), but it wasn't until the afternoon coffee break that the consuming hit its stride. By 6:00 PM, they were all gone, but it was a close call.
