Jess is not only a talented groomer but she's also just amazing with our dog. We are so thankful we have found her and recommend her to anyone looking for a groomer, particularly if you have an anxious dog like us. The amount of stress I had leading up to his first groom was debilitating considering he does not like strangers, he does not like grooming tools, and he does not like being touched by strangers. Luckily we found Jessica and the relief I felt after meeting her and seeing her in action with our little pup was immense. We started with a couple desensitization sessions - he nipped, he urinated out of fear, and he trembled (all while on medication). But she worked slowly and listened to his fear and over the course of those sessions was able to start using the tools while keeping him at or below his fear threshold. By session three he got a full groom and looked absolutely adorable. I'm not exaggerating when I say Jessica is the only person we trust our dog with. Our lil' guy is on the extreme end of the spectrum, and if she can get him acquainted with a haircut and bath, she can do anything.

We came here to look for more natural alternatives and met with Dr. Chau. In the short session we had today, we learned about options and recommendations we haven't heard before (herbs, additional tests, and many other potential solutions we can look into). We left feeling more optimistic about potential natural solutions for our fur baby. Our pup is aggressive and bit one of the techs during the saliva sampling - we were absolutely mortified and felt so terrible but the whole staff was so understanding. Everyone there is so sweet and we look forward to the partnership to find a long term solution for our dog. We left with Chinese herbs to help with his severe skin allergies so I'm excited to see if these help him out in the next few weeks! We will also have a follow up consultation once his food allergy test results come back (it's about a 2-3 week lead time).

I established care with Holistika Veterinary Clinic in 2024 with one of my cats (I have two)…read more During my first visit I spent over $1,000 on consultation and services. Because of the cost, I needed some time before bringing my second cat in. During that time my second cat had a medical emergency -- a urinary blockage. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where the bill escalated quickly since everything was out of pocket. The emergency vet suggested that to save money, they could give me my cat's urine sample so my regular vet could run the lab tests instead of running them at the emergency hospital. I immediately called Holistika Vet because they were the only veterinarian I had an established relationship with. I was extremely distressed and crying because the emergency vet had told me there was a 50% chance my cat might not survive and that follow-up with my regular vet would be important. The receptionist told me it was their policy that they could not see my second cat because he had never been examined there before. I explained that I understood the policy but asked if they could at least run the urine tests (which I would pay for) to help us understand what caused the blockage. Unfortunately, I was told they could not do that either and that the tests would have to be done at the emergency hospital. The conversation felt very cold and unsympathetic during a moment that was extremely frightening for me as a pet owner. Fast forward to February 2026 -- I scheduled an appointment for both of my cats. A few days before the appointment I received an email canceling it, stating they would no longer see my pets because I had given attitude to the receptionist during the emergency call months earlier. I went in person to speak with management to explain the situation and my perspective. I was told they had no record of the conversation but were still refusing future care. For me, the most disappointing part of this experience was the lack of compassion during a very serious emergency and the refusal to even run a test that could have helped guide my cat's care. Thankfully, I have since found another holistic veterinarian in Glendale, California who has been incredibly supportive.

She claims to advise prior to extraction. Very defensive by nature so every responder is an unnecessary argumentative exchange....everything she told me she would do, all paperwork she sent not highly incongruent and again unprofessional. Tiptoeing walking on eggshells you name it miss use of Authority and the pet suffers as a result. Highly inhumane. What was once a very optimistic sigh of relief for a very nervous rescue could not be further from that situation at this point only found out after working with her. I already paid once for an after visit follow through for information. She should've followed through naturally on her own with. It's very disheartening to attempt to be reprimanded by your vet because of their unprofessionalism and lack of follow through and for me to be pointed out as difficult. All dialogue post initial visit should have been included in the initial visit or she should've stayed to follow through during that time. By no fault of my own, I continued to follow instructions and continue to believe and take her for her word. She talks over you and doesn't let you finish. She doesn't hear what you're saying or whatever you're saying she hears it incorrectly and lashes out at you. Very disappointed. I was very hopeful and very happy at one point. There are many other mobile vets in Los Angeles. Keep looking elsewhere. I'm a very compassionate, patient and kind and absolutely generous client. There is no reason for this behavior from any "professional."

And, as much as I love my animals (they are my children) that says everything. She truly listens to my concerns and is such an incredible resource for holistic and gentle alternatives to problems that most vets would just try to simply try to throw a pill or easy answer to. I have always relied on her care and thoughtfulness as I make decisions with my animals. I trust her advice and know that she is coming from a place of contemplation and thoughtfulness. The fact that she is an incredible human being as well is just what makes my commitment to her even stronger! For one, you cannot talk to anyone over the phone. But the worst part is, they pretend they're interpreting your pets results themselves and are actually using AI to do so. They're also creating a grey area by insisting the vet reviews the results first, but when I ask for "laymans terms" and you paste me something you pretend to write, yes I have a problem with that. When I asked, they admitted AI usage and then gaslighted me into believing it's only being used for "formatting". The only AI usage I ever agreed to was during a zoom call I agreed for AI based transcription of our conversation, that's all. I just don't understand why it's so hard to give an actual response that you wrote. I really wanted to like this vet but their time saving practices are grossly counterproductive and wildly inappropriate.

In my heart, some reasons, the words did not sound convincing. Decided to search for a vet that integrate alternatives medicine... we found Dr Chen. When we started working with Dr. Chen, she only had a room in her clinic. A small boutique vet clinic where mini walked around sniffed all the staff and we could be in her eye sight all the time. I do admit, I later did miss the intimate setting. Her clinic expanded more and more during our time with mini there. She got her chronic ear infection treated (in one treatment!) her gut issues and later her heart issue. There definitely has been hiccups here and there as the treatments were always smooth sailing but the staff really cared for mini. We got acupuncture herbal medicine nutrition support... she lived for another 2.5 years and the team were always gentle with her and really helped her. we don't have a dog at this time, but when we do, we will be going back to Dr Chen and the team!

She not only welcomed us in with open arms, but she made sure that we and my dog, Mojo, were comfortable before she began. She was calm, caring, and genuine throughout the entire appointment and really explained all our options and what she was doing thoroughly. She started with gently feeling his body and assessing it, quickly noticing that his spine was probably causing him some pain. We moved onto acupuncture, where she explained all the points that she was doing and how it would benefit him. She also had some treats readily available to distract him as the needles were going in! After about 7-9 minutes, you can visibly see Mojo just... relax. Completely calm. Not squirming or fidgeting. It was honestly like magic. She was able to do cold laser therapy while the needles were in and then she whipped out KT tape.. Which I didn't even know you could do on animals! As she taped his spine, she gave us instructions on how to help him up the stairs and to lower his pain in his hind legs. She also suggested that we start cooking his meals as well with turkey and some sweet potato. After she taped him up, we carried him out to the car where he immediately took a little nap. While we were in the car, she came out with a lot of medicine for him to take for his nausea, alongside some inflammatory medicine and Chinese herbs. Within a few hours of taking the Cerenia that she gave us, he was able to keep food down (which hadn't happened for about 4 days before this, he was throwing up everything he ate). Not only that, he was able to sleep without any disturbance and seemed incredibly relaxed. Dr. Bertolone treated us with kindness and genuinely cared for him. We will always be indebted and appreciative to her and cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for her. She is undoubtedly one of the best veterinarians that we've ever encountered.
