My beautiful rescue dog was suffering with demodex mange (mites). I was seeing a holistic vet in my neighborhood, but the problem was getting worse. The owner of a natural pet store that I go to recommended Dr. Palmquist to me. He said that many of his customers rave about him. From the moment I met Dr. Palmquist I couldn't believe his kindness. This man LOVES animals. He is so incredibly knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. My dog is crazy about him. I practically have to drag him to get him leave the vet's office. That's how wonderful Dr. Palmquist is. And yes, my dog is now mite free. I highly recommend Dr. Palmquist. I have never met another doctor like him. I wish he treated people too.

During a very scary time, they treated my cat with such gentleness and compassion, truly going above and beyond to help her. Because of them, she is feeling better today--and they truly saved her life. Every single person made a difference, from the vet to the nurses to the front desk staff. It means so much to have a team that listens, explains, and is willing to go the extra mile with patience and heart. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals and the people who love them. I am endlessly grateful for their dedication, compassion, and skill, and I would trust them again without hesitation.

This is a review I didn't expect to be making and am very disappointed by my experience here today…read more First off, I just want to say, I've had really great experiences with the vet techs/staff. I've also had an okay experience with the vet. I'm not exactly sure what happened tonight, but just pure disorganization for sure. I first came here last Monday. My dog had some sort of large wound and raised bump on his paw. It wouldn't go away. My schedule is pretty inflexible so it's hard to find a vet that sees pets after normal business hours and doesn't charge an emergency fee. I stumbled upon HQPC on Yelp and it had great reviews. I called and was able to get a same day appointment. I spoke to Jay at that time and she was lovely. I came in at my appointment time, was seen right away and was helped by Angel and another vet tech or employee. I didn't get her name but she has tattoos. Both her and Angel were so kind and lovely. Dr. Amini was really helpful too! I left ready to leave a 5 star review, but just didn't have the time to. I came back today (Monday) as my pup wasn't really improving. I was happy to come back since I had such a great experience last week. I made a same day appointment at 7:45pm. I arrived 5 minutes late (oops), though that didn't even matter. I waited about 25 min in the waiting room. Once we got checked in, I waited another 25 minutes in the medical room. Dr. Amini came in for approximately 3 minutes, said he wanted to do a cytology and a vet tech will be in to help me. Great! Someone came in to help me sign the forms for the $500 bill. And then I waited and waited for another 25 minutes. Theres also some time unaccounted for so I honestly probably underestimated the time too. But I was here about 1.5 hours, if not more. Needless to say, I left. Michelle, who helped me out in the front to check out was very kind and understanding. She explained that Dr. Amini was running behind due to a surgery. I totally understand and please please triage and put more urgent pets before mine! But there was no communication of this at all. Just waiting and waiting. Dr. Amini was literally only in the room with us for 3 minutes. Michelle said she wouldn't charge me, which was nice. But I wasted almost 2 hours and nothing was done with my pup. I'm overall, just really disappointed with my experience.

During that time, one person who arrived after me for shots had their dog seen first, which I didn't mind, assuming it was a quicker process. However, another family came in for a check-up, and their dog was about to be seen before me. I made eye contact with the receptionist, who appeared to realize she had forgotten about me and said I would be next. Eventually, I was seen. My dog was not given a diagnosis but was prescribed medication, specifically an antibiotic to be administered twice a day for 10 days. When I got home and opened the bottle, I noticed it was used, with only a little more than half of the product remaining. It was clear that the bottle was either old or previously used, which I find very unsanitary and disturbing. I contacted the office and left a message, so far I've hotten no call back

Additionally, she gave me options of what to do first if I couldn't do everything suggested. Prices are a little higher than my regular vet, but I couldn't find a vet with good reviews that was cheap in the area. All staff over the phone and in person were sweet and caring. Note regarding the process: When you drive up you'll see cones blocking the entrance to the drive way, but there's a parking lot next to it divided by a gate. Park there. Call them to let them know you're there. They will ask what color and make of car you are in. The assistants will come get your pet and bring them back. You never enter the building or see the vet. The vet calls you to get information and then calls you back for the treatment plan. All transactions happen from your car. At first I thought it was a little odd, I wondered if this was from Covid times and they kept it. But the lengthy and detailed with the vet made it worth it for me. I'm used to vets rushing you for information. The visit took about 45 minutes for examination, calls, blood work, medication and payment. I would recommend.

I didn't have to wait long to check in, pick up, etc and I was able to return twice to check ups without additional exam fees. One complaint that I have is regarding their prescription meds procedures. They do not do electronic transmission of prescriptions so if you want to get the meds much cheaper online you must mail the paper copy in. This would have delayed pain meds and antibiotics by several days so I felt forced to purchase them through their office at a much higher cost. I understand it's difficult to compete with online pharmacy pricing but the mark ups were from ~$4 a bottle to ~$20. I still gave 5/5 because at the end of the day, my dog's urgent surgical needs were met and communication was excellent throughout the entire process. They were also great about providing documentation for insurance reimbursement. I believe the insurance company contacted them in addition to my own document requests. Thank you EAH for taking good care of Mookie! I do wish and hope that you reconsider your RX policy regarding electronic transmission and/or utilize a fax machine to transmit the RX.

They brought her out and she seemed fine. They explained to me they were able to retrieve one raisin. I was relieved because I thought she swallowed more. Now when it came to cost, I know these things can be costly. The Dr assistant did want me to pay between 3,500-4,500 for my fur baby to stay there for two nights to check her levels. When I informed the Dr assistant I did not have that sort of money. The Dr assistant demeanor seemed to have changed, but she followed up with me after and asked how Prada was holding up. The doctor on the other hand was very nice and accommodating. Luckily my fur baby Prada is very much alive. If my fur baby has another medical emergency I would come back here. In the beginning, everything seemed fine. I was able to get an appointment within two days after my regular veterinarian referred us for an ultrasound. When I arrived on 1/8/2026, I waited for more than an hour. I understood they were very busy, and an assistant came out to explain and apologize for the delay. When it was my turn, I met the doctor. She was very professional and kind. She performed the ultrasound and took her time explaining the results. I received my dog's medication there, and they explained how to administer it and told me to call if I had any questions. I was instructed to give my dog two prednisone pills for the first seven days, then reduce the dose to one and a half pills. While my dog was taking two pills, he improved--he was eating, breathing better, and walking. However, once I reduced the dose to one and a half pills, his health declined, and he began showing the same symptoms as before. I called the clinic VCA 1/18/2026 on a Monday to ask if I should return to the two-pill dosage. The doctor's assistant, Kylie, who was very kind, told me the doctor was not in and that she would send her a message and call me back as soon as she heard from her. Tuesday passed, so I called again and spoke with a woman named Jennifer, who was not very pleasant. She said, "Didn't the assistant tell you they would call you when the doctor gets back to her? She's not here and won't be back until Thursday." Thursday Jan. 22 Kylie texted me apologizing and letting me know that she would re-message. The doctor ,never got back to her. I waited until Thursday. No one called. More days passed, still no call. I did not call again because Jennifer had told me they would contact me once the doctor responded. Nearly a month went by, and I never received a call. During this time, my dog passed away. When I took my dog to his regular veterinarian on 1/26. I was told that VCA still had not sent them the ultrasound results. I had received the results myself ,but I am not a veterinarian and cannot interpret them properly. I am extremely disappointed. I have lost trust in this place. I had even referred a cousin to them, but I immediately called her and told her to cancel and seek care elsewhere. Once you leave this place, it feels like you no longer exist. I am still angry, disappointed, and confused. They were very attentive while I was there, but after I left, my dog felt like he no longer mattered. I am strongly considering contacting a lawyer.

I hope that you are reading reviews of IVS Mobile Vets for any reason other than why I sought their services. But if that time has come, when your beloved pet can no longer continue pain-free and without complications, you are told you have options. Someone told me to "drop him off at a shelter" and "start the grieving process". Others said to take him to a vet and have him euthanized at the clinic. Cost being a factor, I was mortified at the prospect of having to consider either of the above options. Abandoning a family member to die alone and wonder why? Who can do that? I came very close to having to consider that option; that is until I found IVS Mobile Vets. Encouraged by glowing reviews, I called to inquire about end-of-life care services and pricing. Dr. Moore answered my call, and even before we could get to details, she solemnly and compassionately listened to me go on and on about my little Donnie, and validated my immense grief over what was to come. Moreover, despite prices for everything everywhere being at an all-time high, Dr. Moore quoted me at-home euthanasia and private cremation for almost $200 LESS than the next lowest quote that I obtained... and I had called over a dozen vets and organizations. Donnie went to sleep on February 15, at about 1pm. In the comfort and safety of his own home, while lying in the bed that we shared for over 13 years, he drifted peacefully, and I held him until his frail little body started to cool, I don't know if it was a 1/2 hour or 1/2 a day, but Dr. Moore left us alone and gave me the time I needed for closure. Dr. Moore was gentle, patient, and truly compassionate. Despite it being the most heartbreaking day of my life, the occasion was peaceful and life-affirming, and I will mourn and cherish that memory for the rest of whatever's left of my own life. Every corner of my home is a mine field of Donnie memories, and I can't envision a day when I could come home and not long to see his little face in the upstairs window, waiting for me to open the door. But, I am forever comforted to know that I did right by my little guy, loving and caressing him to the very end. Donnie's ashes were delivered to me in person about a week later, with a heartfelt card, dignified packaging, and supplemental literature on grieving. Thank you, Dr. Moore, for your kindness, compassion and integrity. Truly an angel of mercy.

I brought my two rabbits in for a visit and ended up being charged for services that were never clearly explained or approved beforehand. One charge was $22.50 for "brushing out poop" from one of my rabbits, which is something I easily could have done at home. I wasn't given any notice that this would be a separate service or cost. They also added a "wound service" charge, which confused me even more. When I asked what it was for, they said they think one of the rabbits might have a soft spot and suggested adding softer padding in the bedding area--but they also said they weren't sure and that nothing else needed to be done right now. It didn't make sense to charge for a wound service when there wasn't a confirmed issue or treatment. My main concern is the lack of transparency. If a clinic plans to perform additional services or add charges, they should explain them and get approval before doing them. Pet care is already expensive, and clients deserve to know what they're being billed for. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like unnecessary services were added without my consent therefore we will not be returning.
