The fried rice and noodle dishes had fresh vegetables and great flavor. I have to admit it tasted healthier than the dark brown dishes we get in the US. I wasn't crazy about grround beef in the fried wontons but maybe they are catering to local tastes. The fried banana dessert more than made up for it. A perfect ending. Staff was extremely helpful with the menu as well.

The music was amusing- they played a mix of New Wave, Michael Jackson, funk, 80s slow jams... not what you'd expect in an upscale restaurant. It wasn't loud or intrusive, just noticeable enough to bring a smile to my face and fuel conversation. We spent a leisurely three hours eating four courses, and spent a fair amount of time talking with our waitress about the food and wine, the Bodensee region, and life in Germany. It is not cheap- we spent 250€ or so for two people- but it makes for a very nice special occasion.

Latter is the only visiting reason as the view on the Lake of Constance, which is right nearby, might be charming, but also this was not the case when we visited the restaurant this Saturday in the late afternoon for an early dinner. First the atmosphere and service, we stood literally one minute in the reception area with waiters rudhing by no greeting, no seating advice at first. In addtion the venue has the charme of a hospital cafeteria, but maybe this was even the intention for locating it directly below the sauna of the Bodensee Therme anyhow. Second the food, both our chicken and pork steaklets came together with Spätzle for the price in decent portions (actually the plate was too small), but lacked any remarkable taste. Overall, we won't visit this restaurant again if not for a cup of coffee.
