All of the prices are reasonable and the store itself is fun to shop around in. The best part however is the smoothies! Every time I come here, I try to have a different smoothie depending on what I'm feeling that day. All of the ingredients are fresh, and there is no additives or sugars in your drink unless you ask for sugar. You can also customize your drink to some degree if you want to add/remove certain fruits/vegetable. The large runs me just under 6$, but it is WELL WORTH IT! I would come back again and again for these smoothies because of how refreshing and clean they are. Absolutely love this entire place and can't wait to be back :)

At the health fair a fabulous company called Hello Wellness was there sampling sea moss. I purchased a jar and I will purchase my next jar directly from Green Acres. It's a nice clean store and there is plenty of parking.

I usually go with the teriyaki chicken burrito on a whole wheat tortilla. It's loaded and stacked to capacity with chicken, brown rice, edamame, wontons, broccoli, carrots, cucumber, green onions. Very healthy and very tasty. It is very easy to eat healthy here with all the options they offer. The staff is beyond friendly and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable. This company was referred to me by a close friend of mine who used them years ago, so I decided to give them a shot when I needed to find care for my mom. Perhaps they have gone downhill since that time... Honestly, I initially had a good impression of Alex, the owner, when I spoke to him. He seemed like a caring and compassionate person. What he promised in the services his company provides sounded like exactly what my mom needed. He said that all the home health aides are trained, will bathe and clean my mom, feed her, help her with her PT exercises throughout the day, will do light housekeeping related to my mom, and accompany my mom to her doctor appointments. However, in execution, the home health aides that they sent my parents were NOT well-trained, were unreliable and unprofessional. My mom is currently very weak and has lost alot of her mobility due to a lengthy hospital and rehab stay. She had recently been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and was also dealing with side effects from her cancer treatment. We communicated that we needed trained aides that could come and help my Dad care for my mom during the day. We needed someone that could help bathe her and change her, encourage her to eat, and help get her up out of bed throughout the day to sit up and do her PT exercises so she can regain her strength. The first aide they sent us was a 75 year old woman. She was nice, but unfortunately needed my Dad's assistance for literally everything. She basically would wait for my Dad to do most of the work, while she looked on. She was also afraid to do any PT exercises with my mom because she said she was too weak. Not sure why we are paying $37 per hour for someone to watch my Dad do most of the work. She would be better suited to be a companion, rather than a home health aide that actually performs tasks to help my mom. The second home health aide they sent us had a bit more experience than the first aide but she was oftentimes on the phone chatting. We are not talking about 1 or 2 phone calls during her shift. We are talking about multiple phone calls throughout her shift. It was as if my Dad was interrupting her phone call when he asked her to perform some task for my mom. She kept saying she would get to it. Oh, I'm sorry, were we interrupting your phone call? Again, not sure why we are paying $37 per hour for someone to keep delaying helping my mom because she wanted to finish her phone call. And today, she left my parents' house in the middle of the day before another home health aide could arrive. When I spoke to Cynthia, the scheduler, she indicated that the aide was supposed to wait until another aide arrived before she left. She left my parents hanging with no help. Very unprofessional behavior. These were supposed to be two of their "top" aides. I can't imagine what an aide that is not considered a "top aide" by this company is like. On top of all that, we also received an invoice from this company that had errors. When I called to point out the errors, Jennifer, the lady from billing, was defensive and rude. She kept interrupting me when I was talking. We are absolutely DONE using this company. Thank god we were already using another home health aide service and have decided to give all our business to them instead. It was clear which company was a well run home health agency with trained home health aides, and which agency was just sending random people not fully qualified to care for someone in my mom's condition. All of my mom's care needs were communicated to Senior Helpers beforehand, but I guess they weren't listening or didn't care. I'm truly upset and regret that I wasted my parents' money by using Senior Helpers when they weren't that helpful at all. Definitely not worth the cost of nearly $300 per day for their services. We'll gladly pay the other home health agency for their services because they are absolutely worth it. Health aides that actually help my parents and don't add stress to an already difficult time.

This facility is dangerous, unprofessional, and run by practitioners like Emil Khella, APRN, who…read morelet personal grudges and massive egos dictate patient care. I went in to have a paronychia (finger infection) drained. Because I have a documented history of antibiotic resistance, I requested Clindamycin--the standard first-line treatment for this type of skin infection. The practitioner initially agreed and wrote it. However, a conflict arose at the pharmacy because my dentist had put me on Amoxicillin and Flagyl the day prior. Instead of safely coordinating my care or switching me to Clindamycin (which covers both dental and skin infections), this urgent care completely canceled my Clindamycin. Amoxicillin and Flagyl do not target the staph or strep bacteria that cause paronychia. When I called the clinic to request the Clindamycin be reinstated, I was flatly refused and told that if my finger infection gets worse and rebounds, I should just drive back and they'll write it then. To make matters worse, during the phone conversation, Emil Khella launched a personal, retaliatory attack. He brought up a visit from YEARS ago, spitefully stating, "You gave us a hard time when you came for your sinus infection because you wanted doxycycline." When I originally asked for that doxycycline--a completely standard, everyday antibiotic--he had dramatically snapped, "You want me to lose my license?" Treating a patient like a criminal or a drug-seeker for knowing their own antibiotic resistance history is unhinged behavior. Weaponizing a years-old grudge to justify denying a patient proper medication today is a severe breach of medical ethics. Emil Khella is actively practicing retaliatory medicine based on a personal bias. Avoid this place at all costs if you expect competent, dignified, and safe medical care.

I'm a new patient of Catherine Colaizzo, DC…read more My initial evaluation was done on February 21st. I was at work and I was in such pain I cold called the office and they said come right on over. They did an initial exam, and they requested x-rays before treatment (always good to be cautious) and I went to University Radiology. My first treatment was done on February 22nd. She reviewed the X-Rays with me, and explained my condition in detail. I have a chronic issue with my neck caused by 40 years of working at computer terminals and monitors. I was a 7/10 with constant pain in my neck and upper left shoulder. (I had been taking 3 Aleve a day for the previous 7 days and was still 7/10 pain level.) As a side note, I have a very high pain threshold. I missed no work during this time. The pain would wake me in the night 3-4 times per night. She developed a course of treatment. I agreed that I needed the treatment and I wanted to start right away. Her assistant then came in and professionally explained the billing options and cost based on my insurance. There were no surprises, and by paying for the first 20 sessions up front I would get a discount. I needed the treatment, so I selected that option. My first adjustment was helpful. Dr. Colaizzo explained that it wouldn't offer immediate relief, but it would be process that would gradually lower my pain and increase my ability to function. After my second adjustment on 2/24 my pain level over the weekend would be between a 0/10 and as bad as 5/10 for brief periods. I stopped taking the Aleve on 2/27. After three treatments more that week (2/27/17) my pain level is generally low (0-4/10). I sleep through the night. Dr. Colaizzo is cordial, caring, and professional. The office is well run. The office staff is friendly. My appointments are usually on my lunch break, and the team respects my time, and I really appreciate that.
