Dr. Colaizzo is an exceptional chiropractor. I have been suffering from neck and back pain stemming from seven compromised discs (ranging in severity from slight bulges to herniations and extrusions, and complicated by stenosis throughout) for well over a decade, now. So as you might imagine, I've tried a number of chiropractors over the years. My search ended around 3 years ago when I found Dr. Colaizzo. She is easily the best chiropractic doctor with whom I've ever dealt. The experience at Chiropractic & Therapy Center sets itself apart from other facilities I've visited in 3 very important categories. 1) Chiropractic skill/Quality of work ethic. Dr. Colaizzo is a gifted chiropractor who has a passion for, and pride in, her work that goes above and beyond what I've experienced anywhere else. Simply put, she's good at what she does and actually cares about the quality of life of her patients. When I'm there, I am made to feel as though I am her only patient. I never feel rushed or lost in the shuffle, and she formulates a plan specifically catered to me and my level of pain at any given time. 2) Promptness of paperwork preparation. I don't know about anyone else, but this one is HUGE for me. I am a field technician and, when the pain from my disc herniations have a particularly bad flare up, I sometimes have to take time off from work. I depend on the paperwork being completed promptly and accurately so that there is no interruption in my pay. And given that I have a family that depends on me, this is extremely important. This has been an issue at other places. Paperwork is tedious, and as such other places have tended to procrastinate. But Dr. Colaizzo always gets it done on time, and gets it done right. This takes a lot of stress off of my shoulders. 3) Quality of staff. The staff is amazing. They are very organized and keep the office running like a well-oiled machine. One appointment flows smoothly into the next, making wait times a rare event. And at the same time, the atmosphere they create is both warm and friendly. Dr. Colaizzo has a great bedside manner and is a warm and caring person. She really takes the time to listen to your concerns and genuinely wants to help you feel better. Some time had passed since my last adjustment and I was developing some back and neck pain (along with tennis elbow). Having recently had a baby and returning to work, my time was limited. I wanted to find a place that was easily accessible on my lunch break. After finding 3 in my immediate area, this one had the best reviews. After my first visit, I knew I picked the right place. Dr. Colaizzo took the time to explain to me what was going on with my body and the benefits of regular adjustments. After I had X-Rays done, she went through them with me very thoroughly and discussed what our plan of action would be to correct the issues. She is very flexible with my hours and considerate to my budget in working out different payment options and values. We did try several different options as far as treating my tennis elbow. Though they were definitely effective, we decided that it was best if I tried something more aggressive. I really appreciated the fact that she knew when to let someone else 'take the wheel' for that complaint (She had referred me to a wonderful pain management Dr.!) instead of insisting on treating it alone. I have had regular sessions for two months now with Dr. Colaizzo. And though I am feeling 100% better than when I first walked through the door, I plan to continue my treatment for maintenance to keep a healthy spine! My lower back problem stated after an injury I sustained as a teen. Throughout the past thirty years, I've always trusted chiropractic treatments to get better whenever my lower back pain flares up to the point where I couldn't handle my day to day activities. Recently due to my long distance running as I was training for a half marathon, I started having severe lower back pains. I came to Dr. Colaizzo for treatments. She was very thorough with her examination as well as explanations of what she was examining. Taking into account all my past injuries and looking at the x-rays she had ordered, she explained to me, in detail, what my problem was and why I got pain flare ups time to time. This is the first time I really truly understood the resulting damage (subluxation degeneration) caused by my injury, as well as the changes that takes place in the spinal column during aging. Her treatments included heat- electro- and ultrasound- therapy, positioning of spinal joints, stretches and massages. After two weeks, not only my pain was completely gone, I was also able to run and complete my half-marathon without aggravating my condition. She is very gentle with her treatments and I always felt extremely good after a session with her. I am continuing with the course of treatments she has planned for me. In 2015 when I had a severe lower back pain. Daily It became harder and harder for me to work and to even walk or sitdown. I was unable to move at all. A coworker referred me to Dr. Catherine Colaizzo. I remember my first day was very difficult to do any movement I was asked to do. She sent me for an x-ray to find out what's causing the pain exactly. We moved forward from there & after 3 sessions I was in no pain at all. I went from a 10/10 pain level to 0/10. I ended my treatment early because I felt 100% better. Now 2019, I started getting mild pain again because I move around alot and do alot of lifting at my job. Gradually it got to a point where I could hardly move at all. I knew it was time to give Dr. Colaizzo a call. Made an appointment & was happy they had time for me that same day. After my first session I was feeling alot better. This review is after my 3rd session again & I feel little to no pain at all. I will definitely complete all my sessions before stopping this time. I rate this Center "excellent" for the best care one could want from a Chiropractic Clinic. I have only had two visits and I feel better than I would ever have expected. I am a Neonatal Nurse and I work 12 hour shifts, which means I am on my feet 70-80% of my shift. I injured by lower back and the sciatic nerve on my right side lifting my a ramp weighing about 35-40 pounds to transport by disabled daughter in my Van. Thanks to Dr. Colaizzo I will be able to resume work (I only had to miss a few days) next week. I was impressed with her method of getting to the root of the problem because no other DC had ever been this thorough. I had to get x-rays done so that she could see exactly what needed to be done. She took the time to go over the x-rays, one spinal deviation at a time so that I would understand what my job would be if I wanted to protect myself from further injuries. This was also something that had never been done. Needless to say, I will continue to use this Center for my "spinal" needs because it just does not get any better than this. Easy to find and very friendly atmosphere! I came here because of severe lower back problems. They took me in with a smile and educated me a little on Chiropractic to get a better understanding of what they do. I was sent for X-rays, which is a great sign for a great doctor. You dont want a chiropractor to just take you in and start manipulating you without knowing exactly whats out of places or what not. It was a very simple process and went back after the x-rays and the doctor went over everything with me and let me know if she was able to help or not. I can tell you this, i am at my 4th visit and already i feel a tramendous difference. I know its not a short road and this takes time, but knowing now what i didnt know before and seeing the difference i feel very confident in my doctor to have me back to feeling good very soon. I was dealing with backpains for over two months and spent money on alternative treatments that did not solve any of my issues, prior to Dr. Colaizzo. After visiting Dr. Colaizzo, she sent me for xrays then explained to me what exactly was causing my issues and put together a game plan to treat my issues. Dr. Colaizzo is very personable and tells you what is needed to be done in order for you to get better. I have back, neck and shoulder pain that made it difficult for me to move, but after going to Dr. Colaizzo even just the first few sessions I already felt better. I am now almost on my 16th session and so far everything is better. I feel so relaxed after every session and all the recurring pain i have been getting are almost gone. I am a 21 year old patient of Catherine Colaizzo. I went to her suffering from extreme upper back pain to the point where I was barely able to think about anything else. I would definitely recommend this office! I was having sharp pain in my neck that disturbed my sleep for about a week. I called the office and got an appointment within the same day. Such a great place to go! All the staff was amazing, making sure we understood what was going on from the moment we walked in during our first visit to the very last. Very accommodating and willing to stay beyond their regular hours to make sure needs and concerns are met. She is a crook , she has half knowledge about the human body, told me certain things cannot be fixed , but my General physician and ortho doc both said it can be healed. Chiropractors have a tendency of trying to push people to become life time patient . Very money oriented less patient oriented. Good for temporary relief only.
