I came across southwest door refinishing. Ben was so easy to communicate with and was able to give a quote from picture alone. We chatted on the phone and all questions were answered. Ben was was excellent in communicating when they would be started and kept me up to date. Nick showed up on time to refinish our door. I learned so much especially about all the short cuts our contractors took. Number 1 they used a combo paint and primer lower quality paint and didn't do a proper prep on the door which is why the paint was failing. Nick work tirelessly for 2.5days sanding, wood filler, priming, etc. He was a true artist and such high attention to detail. He also showed up when he said he would, kept me in the loop, cleaned up, and made minor adjustments to make the door function as it should. All of which is hard to find in contractors now a days. I can't believe how in love I am with this door and the final result. I didn't even feel this way back in 2018. This was how the door should have looked from the beginning. This company, Ben, and Nick are amazing. Hire them and you won't regret it!

After stating in messages that he doesn't ever want to see my husband again.. then proceeds to state that my husband and son can only be paid by him in person (for witnesses.) I even told him he could mail a check.. and didn't adress that either.. You dont need an audience to pay someone, you just need proof that you paid.. I offered all the ways to pay without confrontation and so that he could still have proof that he paid David Bieszk and John. I dont want my husband to meet up with him in person to get his check/payment owed, just to be antagonized into an argument for his so called witnesses. We weren't sure how to rebuild it, but we knew we wanted to turn it from an eyesore into something really interesting to look at. When Tom arrived and saw our rough design he took it to the next level with great ideas and the project turned out so much better than what we expected - and what we would have gotten from our own idea. I knew that he handled projects WAY bigger than what we needed, so I was really grateful he decided to help us out. They arrived on time, are super easy to work with, and the quality of the work was excellent. I'd definitely work with them again if another project comes up at the house.

He rescheduled twice, then showed up at 7:00PM the day he was supposed to do the job. He showed up with his girlfriend and his 20 year old economy car with the trunk stuffed full of tools. He is not personable at all and I suspect may have a few "issues." I let him do his thing because I had a tenant ready to move in. When I arrived the next day it looked like a 3rd grader finger painted the sink and tub then threw sand in it. Shawn stated that he could't control the dirt that blew out from under the sink faucet when he sprayed. Well, that was his first shot at insulting my intelligence. Yes you can, you blow it out with a blow nozzle first. After promising to fix it and sand and buff the tub he made it look "OK." However, before re-caulking and replacing the drains he insisted to be paid. I told him to finish the job! He did what he needed to do and I was glad to get rid of him and not have to deal with this crackhead. Well, 10 months later and the sink is cracking out and 3/4 of the tub finish has peeled off and my tenants have to keep their kids from eating the acrylic chips when they bathe them! I attempted to contact Shawn several times and no response. I am hiring a different company to fix his mess. The only way Davis Brothers obtained a a 5.0 rating is obviously through fraud.
