Called minutes before they were closing on Monday for an arrangement to be delivered to a Sharon, PA funeral home. Specifically called a local florist direct as I wanted a special arrangement. Asked for something contemporary in lieu of a traditional funeral spray or fan type arrangement. Also asked for cardinal reds and yellows as the colors. Knowing they'd have to work with in stock flowers I hoped they could try and at least have these as primary colors. The arrangement was everything I asked for and more. And the piece was done with fresh flowers that made it through the worst cold snap in years and after the services and family gatherings throughout the week survived the long journey home to Connecticut as comfort to the grieving family. Finally I must add that the flowers were abundant and appropriate to the cost. If I ever have reason to again use this florist I WILL. read more

Well, we made it this time without the lines stretching out across the parking lot. It was our bi-annual visit, this time for Santa and Christmas Story Land. This years displays contained scenes from the Peanuts, Sesame Street and other various winter/animal scenes all with various color Christmas trees and ornaments. The last big Christmas scene is a beautiful display of a manger with the wise men and baby Jesus. Gives the reminder of what it's all about. They also have basic special effects such as snow blowing or the animals moving. One of the displays was of a mechanical Santa in a rocking chair surrounded by gifts and elves. There was a recording of him as of he were talking to the kids as they walked by. The kids absolutely love it and my wife and I do to. Once through the displays, you follow the signs where you find Santa waiting in his chair. My kids told Santa what they wanted and when done, he gives they all smarties to munch on while we peruse the store. They love it! I have to mention that my 9-year old asked for a few items from Santa and then said "I also want my family to have a great Christmas" What a sweet boy..... Now, we wait and will go back for Easter where the next review update will be done. read more

Though I'm rating this 5 stars, I am extremely UNHAPPY with how my last visit went. I absolutely love their greenhouse and the variety of plants but I'm from youngstown so I don't often make the trip. I was visiting family near by so I stopped in. The website said they closed at 9pm and I was there some time around 5 or maybe 6pm I can't remember. As soon as I walked in the lady at the register told me they closed in ten minutes so I apologized (I thought they closed at 9pm) and rushed to get some plants. Back at the register there is a man in front of me who said he came from 6 hours away! One of his items didn't have a tag so the cash register girl said "well, I can't look this up so I don't know what you want to do" and the man offered to go check the price on the item in the isle but she wouldn't let him and so he just didn't buy it. I'd be fired if I talked someone out of buying something from my job! Then, while I'm waiting to be cashed out I hear a woman on the loud speaker say, "customers, we close in ten minutes." So not only did this woman at the register lie to me when I came in but she also rushed my purchase which would have been larger if I had known I had the time. And when she cashed me out she had the audacity to tell me that she has to recount her drawer now and it's all my fault. It took everything in me to stay calm. I grew up coming to Kraynaks for the holidays and all my memories of this store were so cheerful and joyous until this day. If I ever have to be rung out by her again there's no way I'd come back. A family tradition will end with me. read more

I've been coming to Kraynaks since I was a child. My parents would take me through the tunnel for Christmas. Yes the line can be long but we would be so excited to check out all the cool toys and items they have there. They still have their tunnel they put displays in for Christmas and Easter. During certain times they also have Santa or the Easter Bunny waiting at the end for kids to visit. You can get their picture taken by the company for a fee and are allowed to take a picture on your phone as well (if you purchased a picture) We try to go on week day mornings to beat the huge crowds. They have so many other cool items in there for your garden and outdoor area. Perfect place to stop in for a gift as well. I found a really beautiful sympathy gift in their home decor/gift section by their floral counter. We also found a great graduation gift for our cousin who will be graduating soon. Honestly there's something for everyone in there. My son was thrilled that they had a couple aisles of trains as well as train tables for the kids to play on. read more

My wife went to Kraynaks every year as a child and she took me last year and I really liked it. We went this year too for Christmas and took our young daughter. It is so nice to view all of the different displays including Muppets, Sesame street, Peanuts characters and so much more. The store itself is huge and you could easily spend a few hundred dollars in here, but it's a place you can go to and enjoy without spending any cash. We are taking our 10 month old daughter to see easter Bunny Lane next saturday and cannot wait for it. We are going to make this a yearly tradition in our family. I would recommend this place to people who love displays and holidays. read more

Brought our family to see the display and make a few purchases. We drove an hour to get here and waited in line (in the cold and rain) to see the display. Two families jumped the line in front of us. When I spoke to the manager, he said "there's nothing we can do." How about you have someone watch the line? He was rude and it was apparent that he didn't care about one family's poor experience. It's frustrating for families that follow proper etiquette to be pushed back in the line. The display was pretty, but not worth that kind of hassle. read more

Kraynak's is a Christmas tradition for our family. My parents took me as a child - I took my kids and now we take the grandkids. The last couple of times we went it was a bit worn looking - BUT - THIS YEAR WAS AMAZING! They had a LOT of new displays - it was very well done with music at the displays new animatronics - still some of the old classics mixed in beautifully - and even the smell of gingerbread (and a sign telling you what that wonderful smell was and where in the store to find it. There was even ELSA! (which my granddaughter went crazy over of course). This year was an EXCEPTIONAL display. EXCEPTIONAL! Of course it is always hard when you take little ones - to a toy store - full of EVERYTHING THEY EVER WANTED - but well worth the wait (and kids going crazy) and - as far as I am concerned it was fantastic to have to wait in line. Great for me to see that line out the door again. We always do a bit of shopping and did more than usual this year as the prices were very reasonable. Kids had a great time - Got pics with Santa and popcorn. Mom and grandma had a great time. Still smiling! I am so glad to see a long standing small local business thriving. read more

The prices of the merchandise are pretty high, but Christmas Lane and Easter Bunny Lane are completely free, and so much fun! Kids love it, grown ups love it! It's a great time for everyone. Waiting in line for this is 10 times better than waiting to get a picture with Santa/Easter Bunny at the mall. Plus, you can bring a camera and take your own pictures for free. read more

Sure, their prices are usually higher than you can find online and at discount stores like Walmart, but they have an excellent selection, and no one can beat their free Christmas and Easter walk through displays. Having been to both displays almost every year for many, many years, I can honestly say it's one of the most special traditions our family has had for a long time. We do not do all of our Christmas shopping there, but we do buy some of the more unique items and always enjoy the displays. read more
