The Doctors are fine but the staff answering the phone are rude. The staff told me a procedure couldn't be done on a wild animal but DNR and the state of Michigan say it's up to the doctor. I drive an hour from Highland Park to take my kitties here. They are affordable, accommodating, and truly care about animals. They are a family run business. I get my kitties teeth cleaned here and they always do a great job. They even snuck me in the next day for a teeth cleaning appointment after the initial checkup and kept my kitty overnight because he had a bad time during the car ride. This alleviated him needing another long car ride back for a second appointment . Very kind of them. 10/10 recommend. read more

We had a beautiful Havana rabbit. The first young lady who cared for him was knowledgeable and good with him. She said she had raised rabbits. The rabbit had gotten a little older and we went back to Krause for him to get a new check up. The lady no longer worked there. We saw a male who didn't seem to care and knew nothing about rabbits. It wasn't much later that the rabbits had a condition during a holiday. The facility where we went put all the dogs ahead of our rabbit and he died in our arms that day. We are very upset with both facilities. When we called for the second visit at Krause why didn't they tell us that the lady had left and that they do not care for rabbits. He was a beautiful animal and a perfect pet. I called Krause about his death because the condition that he died from is very common to rabbits. They never called me back. I am still angry. If we had know we could have responded much sooner and saved his life instead of dying a cruel death from a common condition for rabbits. He died from having his internal organs eaten by flies. I would never recommend Krause Veterinary. The 2nd visit was a true waste of our money. Why wouldn't we be told about the leading cause of death for rabbits........ read more

I cannot say enough about Krause Veterinary Clinic. I have used them for years, and today, they reminded me again why I continue to use them. My dog had a medical issue that she needed to be seen for ASAP. Not only did they see her same day, they saw her almost as soon as we got there. They take great care of our dogs here. They don't try to sell us anything, we've been taking our dogs here for a long time now.

The staff here don't seem to care much. I started taking my dog here when we moved and I was never super keen. More recently, I've experienced poor customer service and unprofessional, apathetic staff. The doc was fine, but not great enough to put up with the consistently bad experience. I'll be moving on to another vet. Would not recommend. read more

I have been taking my dog here for the past two years and go for his annual visit today and ask for a copy of his heartworm and flea and tick prescriptions and the girl at the front desk told me that if they carried the product in office and I don's buy it through them It is $10 per paper copy prescription. Not really sure why I have to pay for a copy of my prescriptions when I just went for a visit. Not sure when this place turned into a money hungry business but I'll never go back!! read more

The absolute best vet you will find. This is the only veterinary clinic that I trust with my animals. They are very kind and caring in all situations, and made me feel very comfortable when taking my kitten to get spayed. They kept me in the loop and answered all questions I had. We recently had to put one of our dogs down at Krause and they were very caring and even sent out a condolence card a few days later. read more

Krause Veterinary Clinic has been our vet for years. All the vets are compassionate, listen to all concerns, answer any questions. The office staff is wonderful, and their new location is spacious and convenient. Krause's fees are so much more affordable than other vets, and they accept Care Credit. They take care of our 7 rescue dogs and I can't imagine taking them anywhere else. read more

The son seems to be taking over the visits. We have been taking our cat there for over a year and have yet to have an issue like I have at so many other vet offices. He's very knowledgeable and takes the time to care for your concerns along with your pets comfort. Worth passing the 30 other veterinary offices on my way there. I'll I have been going to Krause clinic 6 years now . I've taken both my dogs and cats to the clinic. What I found is helpful staff who love animals and treated me with compassion and respect. Dr. Krause along with the other vets are the best . They preformed surgery and helped me also to care for both saving my abused dog and helping me the making the hardest decision making the right choice on saying goodbye to my fathers leader dog Missy. As far as I am concerned, there is no other vet. None. I used to live just a few miles away, but I moved to Auburn Hills. Are there vets in my area? Probably, but I wouldn't waste my time or risk my dog's health. I don't mind the 40-50 minute drive, because I know I'm going where the real professionals are, and where they actually take time, listen and care. Left this review on another site. Apparently Krause Vet. found a way to take it down... We took our two dogs in for an annual checkup and shots. Nothing was explained to us and we had to go back for a second visit just to get basic shots done. The front desk staff was unprofessional and clearly wanted nothing to do with customers, as they chit-chatted and played on their phones while we waited for them to even acknowledge we had walked in the door. To top it off, young Dr. Krause clearly had alcohol on his breath at 10am on a Saturday. Completely unacceptable!! read more

If you ever need any help, especially an emergency, do not depend on Krause Veterinary Clinic to help you. Yesterday, our farm animals were brutally attacked by two dogs who came onto our property. Our animals were fenced in and not wandering. These dogs got in and tore off our animal's ears and ate them, left the animals with numerous skin lacerations, and tore one of the animal's trachea and left her with part of her brain completely exposed. Just imagine if you walked out to your pets and saw this horrific scene all while trying to get the dogs to leave. I think any human would realize what an emergency this was, but not the employees at Krause Veterinary Clinic in Armada. I was hopeful when I called that they would be the ones to help our loved animals and save their lives as Police officers and animal control told me to call them. When I had called this office to explain the situation they were heartless. At one point the woman on the phone laughed at me, as if the pain and suffering our animals were feeling with their ears torn off was normal. I know that veterinary offices are busy, but they didn't even bother to call the vet down the road to ask if they would be willing to come to our house. They just said they were booked and that they would not make an appointment past five and that no one would come to our house. They were very unprofessional and I can't believe the way I was spoken to. They are supposed to be in the business of caring for animals and it is obvious that this is not always the case for them. Luckily, we were able to get in contact with a great vet who came over as soon as she could. She was absolutely amazing and is our hero. My family is so thankful that she cared enough to help and stayed late into the night. If you were wondering, the vet did all she could. However, for one of our animals the damage that was done was not fixable and we had to put our girl down. Our other two animals were driven to East Lansing this morning to receive more care and have surgery done. Unfortunately, once we got to East Lansing we received the news that another one of our animals had to be put down to his severe injuries. As a reminder, this was not considered an emergency in this Veterinary Clinics eyes. I wanted to share this because if you have an emergency you cannot count on Krause Veterinary Clinic in Armada for help or even compassion when it is needed most. If they were laughing at me on the phone, just imagine what they do when pet owners are not around. I did call the office manager to discuss all of this as well, but it was obvious that nothing was going to be done and that she did not care. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. They have treated me horribly and clearly did not care for my kittens health what so ever. My grandma and my mother have taken their pets here for years, since i was a child. Never a problem and always treated with respect and the upmost best care possible. But when I had brought my kitten in, that was so far from the case it's ridiculous. I had tried to make her an appt for her first ever doctors visit and they told me they couldn't see her for two weeks. Okay, fine. After a day or so of having her, she wasn't going to the bathroom, AT ALL. I called to see if I could get in or if they could point me in the direction to find help. NOPE! "Wait until you're appointment". My kitten isn't going to the bathroom. This is clearly a problem. "Well if your really that worried, bring her in during our emergency hours". So I bring her in 1 and a half weeks before her appointment. They give her an enema. I asked since we were already there if they'd give her a look since i was clear not going to go to the appt bc I was already there. "Oh yes of course". Give her her first shot, and a laxative. I asked if she had worms. "None we could see!" Okay that's fishy, "none you could see"? How about you know for a fact she doesn't. Whatever, I paid and was sent on my way. 2 weeks later my mom took a litter mate of hers. Got an appt within 3 days of getting her. Brought her in, got her shots AND a dewormer without having to ask or question it, JUST IN CASE SHE HAS WORMS. Okay, but I have her sister and you told me she was fine? Doesn't make sense to me that they would be different but okay. Fine. That night, Pearl, my mother's kitten from the same litter, had worms in her feces. I decided shinx, my kitten, needed one too. She came down with a kitty cold about 1 and a half weeks before her 2 dose of her shots. Looking up the kitty cold online it should be gone by then and if it wasn't, I already had the appt, didn't have to fight with them to get her one. When we show up, she hasn't gotten any better. I told the doctor I needed medicine for her and a dewormer since her litter mate had worms. "Uhm she didn't have worms when u brought her in". Well they were wrong because that night, guess what was in her litter? WORMS. Back to our conversation, I told her how long she had been having these symptoms. Not thinking too deeply into at the time and realizing it now, I should have known that what they told me was an upper respiratory infection had turned into pneumonia, just like a human. She had the infection too long and it had turned for the worse. But as a doctor, they should have checked and pointed out the fact that the length she had been sick could turn into something worse, especially in a 10 week old kitten. Following the instructions to a t, giving her medicine the same time everyday, on the 6th day, her running nose was the only thing that had gone away. She now had a rapid heart beat, shortness of breath, and the same wet cough. We called the vet to see if they could see her because she was not breathing right. "Well u have to give the medicine time to kick in." And, "you can bring her in during our emergency hours but all we can do is give her is more antibiotics." Great! Thanks for telling us your absolutely useless and can't even have some sort of worry for a piece of our family! Even though, THAT IS YOUR ONLY JOB, being there to help and care for our pet like they are your own family. The next day, hoping maybe she would be better with some love and finishing off her medicine, the shortness of breath any got worse. And because of our awful experiences with Krause's team, we decided to take her to a hospital. Upon arrival, we received more attention and care than we EVER did at Krause. They had the same worry for our baby we did. Love and care just like we do for her. By the end of our visit, we found out our precious baby had been battling pneumonia for days, maybe weeks. Being in critical condition, she is now being hospitalized for several days in hopes she will recover. Due to the lack of care in the team at Krause, we could possibly lose our baby. Because they simply were not concerned with the well being of our baby like they should be. And I hate to take it to a place like this, but I am only 20 years old. And I am very sure they were under the impression I am a stupid young girl who doesn't know how to care for anything with a heartbeat. The treatment difference between me (20 yrs old) and my mother (40 yrs old) is a night and day difference. I was treated unfairly most likely because of my age. And if not, well, this team is just absolutely horrible. ***EDIT*** Our baby girl is on her very last bit of life. When telling the team at Krause we were told we were lying and "that's not how it happened". They had 0 respect for us and our kitten. Let alone, no sympathy. read more

Scheduled an appointment last minute for my Dad's kitten due to a sore on the kittens neck. The vet was kind, courteous and answered my barrage of questions. Simple, quality treatment is what you'll get here. No crazy unnecessary tests or outrageous bill to go with it. My Dad had taken this kitten in the previous week to another local vet to the tune of $610, now at Krause, the kitten was treated for $66. I used this vet for years before moving out of state. It is very difficult to find staff that are knowledgeable and compassionate. I called for an emergency appointment was told there was nothing available until Monday. I asked if there was a quick call list and was told there was not. I asked to speak with Nona, who has been with Krause Veterinary Clinic for one time. Every time I have come into the clinic, whether it was for my dogs or my horses, she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I want so say Thank You to Nona for getting us in so quickly. She knows that when I call it is not just anything and if I said it was an emergency it was!! Nona made sure we were seen as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we had to put our chocolate lab Tessa Marie to sleep. It was our first time seeing Dr. Rowley and we want to thank her for her compassion yesterday. She was very knowledgeable about Tessa's condition and was able to explain the cause and reason things had progressed the way they did. Whenever we have needed Veterinarian Care the staff at Krause have made sure we have received top notch treatment. Thank you again for all you do especially during this time of Covid! This is the vet we take our animals to for shots, vaccines, routine stuff... super reasonable/affordable prices! But, for major stuff we don't go here... although we've never experienced it ourselves... we've heard a lot of bad stuff. So major stuff (emergencies, spaying/neutering, etc) we take the drive to Wilson's just in case:) But if it's just the day to day stuff you need done... like heart worm, flea/tic... save yourself some money and go here!! read more

Had a very good experience with Krause Veterinary Clinic today. Dr. Krause was willing to answer all our questions regarding the health status of "Cookie" our rabbit. All the staff was pleasant and the environment was appropriately clean. It seems that the dogs love to dirty the glass door but that is to be expected. I would recommend this clinic. read more

I decided to have my dog spayed here because it was much cheaper than my regular vet, and now I know why. The place is a dump, and I never even got to speak with the vet. I picked my dog up and took her home the day after surgery. When we got home, I saw that her poor belly was RAW from the clippers. They literally removed a layer of skin and cut her nipples. I took pictures to show the vet at our 2 week suture removal appointment. At that appointment, I still never got to speak with the actual vet, just an associate. I showed him the picture of my dogs belly. His reply, "oh, that's just sensitive skin". I tried telling him her skin was oozing fluid and was hot to the touch, and it ended up scabbing. He continued to blame my dogs skin instead of whoever shaved her, and I know my concerns fell on deaf ears. I didn't even get an apology, or an "I'm sorry that happened. I'll speak with The tech". Nothing! The only concerns voiced by that office was pushing for vaccines, heart worm, and medications. All in all, a horrible experience. read more

i can't say enough positive about this vet. We just moved up to this area in Dec and it being Sept not a long period of time. We weren't in there often. Our dakota wasnt basic sick a lot it was serious stuff and specialist visits. Krause was MUCH closer than any specialist vet so we went to them for in between stuff. If we needed a urine sample, rather then going to Ann Arbor or Ohio (living in michigan) wed go to krause. Did the tests no issues even faxed over results to specialist. Medications? NO ISSUE It finally came down to putting her down and EVERYONE was incredible! From getting done quickly, to being gentle and understanding with us it couldn't have gone better. The thing that impressed me most was the fact we hadn't been a patient of theres long at all and maybe only a handful of visits within that less than a year time frame. They knew us and her. They were genuinely concerned, asked questions, suggested other options etc. It took less than 24hours for the remains to come back. I recommend ANYONE to them! read more
