We reported this to the management since they told us previously that they have a professional exterminator service the facility. When we moved out, there was an insane amount of mice feces around both walls. We reported this, as well as the weather seal on the bottom of the roll up door being dry rotted to the point that it was hard and breaking apart, allowing outside debris to blow into the unit and all over our stuff. When we addressed all of this, rather than fixing any of it, they raised the rent appropriately 20% with no justification. The staff at the local office were kind and professional but the company as a whole couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. The care only about maximizing profits. Kiara was wonderful to work with prior when having any questions about anything and unfortunately I learned while reaching out I discovered the very non personable, hateful, lady named Ellen who is the *new* property manager, and wow it's sad and such a shame to see a business that allows employees to treat people so rude when there are so many other options out there for cheaper storage in today's economy. I simply contacted trying to understand why our bill was going up next month with no notice and some extra fees we had acquired and was completely belittled and spoke to beyond unprofessional and process how to figure out so much extra on short notice and to learn next month will be even higher. We will be going through our unit once it cools down outside, so we can do away with supporting this terrible ran business. Given that the plan was to unload our vehicle and immediately leave for CA, and it was 4pm on a Saturday, we were in a bit of a panic to find a place that was still open. Best storage was one of few places with office hours till 5pm on Saturdays so we rang them up to confirm availability. The gentleman in the office set us up with the perfect unit size, at a rate that was great compared to other storage facilities. Drove through the gate (which you can access from 4am (I think?) to 10pm, loaded up our storage unit (all first floor!!), locked up and then headed along our merry little way. Or so we thought... Right at 5pm, while buying snacks around the corner for the road, we discovered that the ID we used to photocopy for their records had been left behind, so we frantically dashed back. The office was closed so we emailed and called, and within 10 minutes someone reached us and returned to the office to give the ID back. Can't even begin to explain how grateful we were, since having your drivers license is pretty important when traveling through multiple states. Even without customer service that went above and beyond, Best Storage would have been 5 stars for pricing, availability, operating hours, and unit accessibility. But returning after hours to get our ID back really meant a lot to us, which definitely put Best well above all the rest.
