KQ used to have the best Chinese takeout in Oswego. Not anymore! General Tso's chicken was overcooked and hard. Fried rice was okay but didn't have a lot of pork in it. Egg rolls weren't horrible, but we have had better. Fried wonton was overcooked and chewy. This has happened to us twice. No more KQ. I guess I'll have to travel for good takeout. read more

Used to be my go to place for Chinese take out years ago. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed hands, but if not they're much less present and that's not a good thing. The food has gone steadily downhill as has the service and cleanliness of this place. When the owners were there more everything was on point, but I haven't seen them in quite some time. As someone visiting Oswego, it was difficult to find many Chinese restaurants. We ordered delivery, which was very fast and the phone service was pretty good. The food itself was good as American Chinese food. I will note i enjoyed the sweet biscuits, but some people may not enjoy the taste of the oil (I believe that's what it was). But overall, will be ordering from there again when craving something different. read more

I'm not sure I ate at the same restaurant that the previous reviewers ate at. The orange chicken was so hard I couldn't even put my fork in it. I couldn't see any chicken..just a hard mass. I eat out often, with Chinese food being a favorite of mine. I would have given KQ five stars except for the inhospitable woman who is front and center at the counter. Although she works hard and is likely stressed, her demeanor is nonetheless toxic. She needs assistance, more breaks, or replacement altogether. I feel as if I'm imposing on her. Bad service I ordered and my total came to 13.18 and the delivery driver told me I was short 5 dollars when I know I wasn't I watched him count it in front of me and refused to give me my food until I gave him an extra 5 dollars and I called the store the lady was extremely rude said it was a tip and I said not a tip if he refused to give me my food and I gave him a 3 dollar tip I gave him 16.18 but he wanted to be selfish and so did she she told me to bring my food back after they delivered because I told her I wanted my 5 dollars back that he took when it wasn't needed for all that all together horrible service and there food was all oil that's all I tasted would never go there again all together horrible place people are so rude and have no care for there customers and iv been going there for years. It's the best Chinese Restaurant in Oswego. The establishment is really clean and safe during this pandemic the do care about there employees, and customers. The food is always fresh and HOT!!. The prices aren't to bad, of coarse it all depends on what you order. The owners are very friendly, along with the rest of the employees. The food is decent, nothing stands out as amazing. This Chinese take-out is the only one in town that doesn't leave me ill after eating it. So...if that isn't a ringing endorsement then I don't know what is. In all honesty, the food is good, and the family that runs it is very friendly. It was convenient to place an order then walk over to Price Chopper to do some grocery shopping. However, Price Chopper moved out of the plaza so you might as well bring a book or iPhone to entertain yourself while your food is prepared. I wish they do delivery. Seems logical in a college town. Today is the last day I will ever order from KQ Chinese in Oswego. I have given them my business for many years, even though they are consistently rude..because I like their food. Today when my aide went out to pick up my order, they had forgotten the cripsy noodles for my wonton soup, forgotten the egg roll I paid for, and they took all my change and put it in the tip jar..from a PICK-UP order! I'm really happy that KQ has lasted for so long in Oswego. It will always have a special place in my heart, because it was the place I had my first real date when I was a teenager. But, memories aside KQ is also hands down the best Chinese food in Oswego. The food is all delicious, my favorite being the chicken or shrimp and broccoli with fried rice and pork egg roll. The people are also very friendly and as it is at any good establishment, they get to know their regulars and you get to know them. We send them a Christmas card every year and they usually send us a bamboo calendar. It is definitely a special place run by extraordinary people with real delicious Chinese cuisine. read more

Pretty typical Chinese, but is my fave in Oswego. They have some specials that are pretty good. Make homemade duck sauce and hot mustard. They do egg foo young just right. General Tso's isn't the best, but I don't eat that so who cares? Very friendly. Watch when you pay here. I went and ordered 2 dinners. One with credit and one with cash. I signed for the credit and paid cash for the other. No people K&Q is the best place for Chinese in oswego by far, the food is excellent and fresh. The other 10 Chinese places have really low quality compared to them.
