Super Dave and I are huge Lost-aholics so when we started planning our Oahu vacation we knew we had to do a Lost tour. After a little research, we decided to go with the 10-hour tour with Kos Tours. The tour group itself was limited to four so we were stoked about getting a personalized experience, rather than being herded along with a bus load of people. Our guide, Ricardo, picked us up at our hotel promptly at 7:50 AM and then we made one more hotel stop to pick up the other couple on the tour. The other couple was Austrian and though they chatted mostly with each other in German, they were fun. For instance, I can now say "The Others" in German. (Die Anderen) Though the 10-hour tour does not include the locations on the Kualoa Ranch, it does include the locations for: the Orchid, the Others' Temple, the "Korean" temple where Jin and Sun where married, the plane crash beach (including Ben's open grave site), the survivors' beach, "Nigeria," New Otherton and lots of other ocean-side stops along the way. At one point on the tour, someone asked us if we felt like we were getting our money's worth and I have to say that we did. Lost aside, we got a 10-hour, fairly personal tour of the north, south and east sides of Oahu. It was time and money well spent. read more

We went around the whole island learning, not only lost facts, but information about the island. It was so informative and interesting. My dad and I did the 2 hour Lost tour with Greg as our guide. I grew up watching Lost as it aired (from when I was 11-17) and its my favorite show of all time, so to say I was excited is an understatement. Part of me was worried that my expectations were too high to be met but I didn't need to worry at all! The tour was amazing! There was one other pair with us who were also huge Lost fans, so Greg focused a lot on the show stuff for us. He even gave us little quizzes when we were driving around to test our Lost knowledge. He was an extra on Lost (and other movies too!) and it was cool hearing about that as well. Other than the Lost stuff, my favorite thing was seeing the Gyrosphere set from Jurassic World! I'd recommend this tour to anyone, even if you aren't a Lost fan. While I really did feel like I was on the Island at times, that scenery would still have been just as beautiful if I had never seen the show! Really awesome experience! read more

During our trip to Oahu, my husband and I went on the two hour Lost tour at Kualoa Ranch with KOS Tours. I am obsessed with gorgeous Kualoa Ranch and with Lost, so I was excited to experience this different excursion. Whenever we visit Oahu, we go to Kualoa Ranch and have done their ATV tour many times and their bus tour several times as well. I was hoping that by going on the two hour KOS Lost tour, we would see more of the ranch than ever before, and I was so pleased that we did. Our tour guide was fantastic, and he was waiting for us when we arrived at Kualoa. I am disappointed that I cannot remember his name now because he did a fabulous job. Although we saw many of the same breathtaking Kualoa sights, there were many places that my husband and I had never explored on our previous Kualoa tours. We have so many gorgeous photos from the tour. We were even able to see the set for the newest Jurassic Park movie coming out this summer, which was neat. I loved everything about this tour and will do it again when we go back to Oahu. read more

We moved to Oahu about a year ago and at that time I had vaguely heard of some TV show called "Lost" but my husband got interested in it when he visited one of the beaches where it was filmed. So I started watching it with him. Then I learned there was a "Lost tour" of the island. At first I was disappointed that the 8-hour tour was no longer available but the 5-hour version did not disappoint! Our guide and driver, Ricardo, met us promptly in Waikiki and we were off in the Hummer. He immediately engaged with tidbits of information about Lost and other TV and movies filmed on the island and he let us in on some of the cast gossip from when Lost was still filming on-island. No spoiler alert here - take the tour, you'll be glad you did! I knew we would see sites where other movies were filmed and I was worried that I either hadn't seen the movie or wouldn't remember it. Not to worry - Ricardo had a portable DVD player in the Hummer and played the scenes to refresh everyone's memory. Then he would hold up still shots from the various movies once we were actually on location. The photo ops are plentiful and, again avoiding a spoiler alert, highly creative with Ricardo's help. I went on the 5 hour Lost tour and Ricardo was our guide. We didn't want to rent a car during our vacation so it was great that Ricardo picked us up/dropped us off right in front of our hotel in Waikiki. I'm a huge Lost fan and Ricardo definitely knew the show inside and out!! At every location he showed us, he was able to describe the parts of the story/scenes in depth and that really made it fun for me. He even had a lot of background info on the actors on and off the set from living in Hawaii during filming. The locations were great and you really get to see awesome parts of Oahu. I thought a 5 hour tour would be too long, but it flew by because Ricardo had us laughing the whole time with funny picture set-ups and jokes. He really made the trip fun and memorable. Like many other reviews note, it would have been amazing to take this tour before the series ended since all the sets are gone, but I definitely feel I saw enough recognizable locations to make the tour worthwhile. I started watching Lost two years ago. My boyfriend and I decided to watch the whole series by watching a couple of episodes every night after work. Fell in love with it, became huge fans. My mother was already a huge fan. I remember when the show started and she was immediately hooked. When we planned this trip to O'ahu, she was dead set on doing this tour. Of course our group of 4 had to join her. We didn't want to miss out on anything. Three of us were Lost watchers and the other two were not. I am happy to say that the two that never watched Lost enjoyed the tour immensely. They found everything just as interesting and exciting as we did. We did the 4 hour tour and were able to get out and take pictures where other tours could not. Scotty was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and pretty dang funny. He has to love what he does (a little jealous). We did some off roading too, which was pretty cool. We all agreed to do the 8 hour tour the next time. This tour was a lot of fun, even for two non-Lost fans. My girlfriend and I went on the 2-hour tour. The drive to Kualoa Ranch from Waikiki was quite nice. The only annoying part is when we got stuck behind a garbage truck for a while. Once we got close, I knew we were going to be in for some good scenery. Despite not being a fan of Lost, we both really enjoyed the movie aspects of the tour. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies, and I got some great pictures. In any case, the valley is very nice as well. This tour is probably not something on every first-time-Hawaii-vacationer's list of things to do, but it was definitely worth it! read more

I took the two hour Lost tour in December 2012. My husband and I figured we would take the shorter tour because to be honest, we have never seen a Lost episode! But the tour got so many good reviews and we wanted to do something more on our trip than just hang out at the beach! Why not spend a couple hours in a beautiful scenic area being driven around HUGE Kualoa Ranch in a Hummer? They filmed many more movies than Lost, some which included Hawaii Five-O, the Windtalkers, Brady Bunch, Journey 2-the Mysterious Island, Jurassic Park, and some others I cant remember anymore! Our tour guide Jeff was great, he showed us clips from some movie scenes from a portable DVD player in the hummer, and then would let us get out of the car and "experience" the part right where it happened. He also offered to take pictures of us and would hold up some tiny props to make the pictures look like we were in the movie scenes! It was pretty funny.. Even if you're not a Lost fan, the views in and of itself were amazing. We had a great time. There is also a little gift shop unrelated to the tour on the property where they serve food and sell souvenirs at very reasonable prices. This was our first time to Oahu Island (we usually go to the Big Island or Maui), but if we ever come back here, this is a tour I would think about doing again! read more

If you are a true LOST fan - this is a must do! Greg took myself and another fan out - we toured the WHOLE island and nerded out on LOST trivia the whole time. I saw so many wonderful sites, all through the lens of LOST. It was wonderful - one note is that they cannot take you to "Hurley's golf course" but you will do the crash site, camp, Dharmaville, waterfall (extra), and many many many unexpected surprises. read more

My wife and I wanted to check out one of the tours where you can check out the Jurassic Park film locations. We looked around and found this one to be of the highest rated so we decided to do the 5 hour tour. We had limited time so we were thrilled to find out we could do the tour the same day. The driver picked us up at our hotel in Waikiki in a yellow Hummer H2. There are 2 rows of 3 seats in he back, so we were pretty sure we would be other people with us on the tour. It turned out the other couple who was going to join us got food poisoning and couldn't make it, so it was just us and the driver. I though it might be kinda awkward at first but our driver was pretty cool and knew a lot about all the movies and TV locations around the island. We saw over 25 locations including some from Jurrasic Park, Lost, Godzilla, and more! We got some fantastic pictures too! Off-roading through the ranch in a humvee was an awesome experience by itself! That thing did some work! While other tourists were on the horses or on a bus, we got to go anywhere and stop anywhere to check things out. Best tour out there by far! Totally worth it. I had done the horseback tour there before, and this was a million times better. Highly recommend it. Although kinda expensive. Super fun! read more

We had a rental car so we drove to KUALOA Ranch, and met Scott driver/guide. We jumped in the Hummer and off we went. The large portable DVD player(size of a laptop) and binder full of photos was an awesome feature and my 7yr old loved it, not knowing all the Movies filmed there. We had a blast as soon as we hit the dirt road. We were not huge Lost fans but saw so many other sets and the added insight Scott had was awesome. The off road nature of the tour was cool and is really what separates this tour from the buss or ATV tours the ranch has. We went where they couldn't. Scott offered to stop and take pics, we got out a lot especially at the main sets. Journey 2, was the best for our son. We had just seen it on the flight to Hawaii and walked around the set that was still standing, "it was so awesome". My wife really liked the Jurassic Park set, with theT-Rex pic, thanks Scott! I liked the Wind Talkers set the most, Scott played a DVD clip and shared production details. Very interesting! I regret not posting this sooner, we were there in 06/2012 and would say not taking this tour would be a mistake! Everyone who saw our pictures were amazed. Can't say it enough, thanks Scott! We took the 5 hour movie tour and it was great. Our driver Ricardo, was very entertaining. The tours are great for movie lovers as well as just a great way to see the island. My wife and I took the 5-hour tour from Waikiki up to Kualoa Ranch and back. We are both big LOST fans, and this was one of the highlights of our Oahu vacation. It was a great way to get out of the major tourist hub of Waikiki and see more of the island. Our driver, Aaron, was awesome. On top of being a LOST expert, he knew a ton about the history of Hawaii. We learned a lot from him. He also gave us tips on places to eat (two of our favorite meals were suggested by him), and he showed us how to get to the LOST locations on the North Shore that we didn't see with him so that we could go find them on our own. While we saw quite a long list of locations from other shows and movies, I would say that if you haven't seen LOST then this tour might not be as cool for you as it was for us. That said, if you were a fan of LOST at all then you MUST TAKE THIS TOUR. It was so cool to see the locations and re-live our favorite episodes. Let me first point out that only would I recommend Kos tours to ANYONE - but I loved them so much, I'm using them again this coming May. At the time, there was a 10 hour tour Lost Tour option. The shorter tours involved more time at the Kualoa Ranch - but we chose to do the longer tour due to it's trip around the North Shore of Oahu. The tour did not disappoint. The mood was set by Lost music (which some may not consider driving music, but on a Lost tour, can you really think of anything better?) and our tour guide Aaron was friendly and informative. Being a big Lost fan, I had a lot of questions that were out of the box - and there was an answer for nearly everyone. The detail of the tour from Lost locations to just beautiful places to visit was well planned. If you're looking for a great way to see the island, there is no way better than Kos tours. I'd be remised if I didn't note the fact that their customer service is prompt and easy to work with. I had to recently deal with a change of credit card and they got back to promptly and were easy to work. Add the fact that they pick you up at your hotel with the majority of their packages, you really can't lose. Looking forward to enjoying them again for the 5 hour Lost tour this May. Update: January 2013 No change in rating - but I think it's important to point out that we enjoyed our 5 hour tour just as much (if not more) than our 10 hour tour. This is the second time we've gone on the tour with two other people who somehow weren't Lost fans - which still boggles my mind - but the tour guide noticed this and went out of his way to try and show us as many "extras" that he could fit into the timeframe. This personal aspect impressed me and goes to show that the service is consistently top-notch. I'm thrilled to say that I look forward to going back again (though it will be more than a two year break in between this time) and using Kos Tours again. As a side note - I should mention I had also asked them - as I intend to set up a renewal of vows with my wife in Oahu at the Kualoa Ranch one day - if they'd be willing to take us around to do photos if I booked them in the future and their always amazing owner replied to me personally to let me know he'd love to do so when the time came. Although it was a rainy day, we still enjoyed the views during our ride from waikiki to the Kualoa Ranch and of course the surroundings of the ranch itself were gorgeous too. My friends and I are big Lost fans and during a recent trip to Hawaii we wanted to take a tour of various filming locations. The KOS HUMMER tour came highly recommended and I would have to agree it was well worth the money. We elected to do the 9 hour HUMMER tour. We had a great tour guide - Scotty - and just sat back as he drove us around the island. Not only was it a great event if you're a Lost fan but we saw so much of the island that even if you don't care about the show its an awesome way to see the island without having to make a friend drive. My only complaint - and this isn't a fault of KOS Tours but the company I used to book the tour gave us incorrect info about what we'd be seeing. KOS Tours offers TWO HUMMER tours - a 5 hour jungle tour and the 9 hour beach tour. I had been told the 9 hour tour was the same tour but longer with more stuff. It wasn't until partway through the tour that I realized they keep the jungle locations separate from the beach locations. So if you want to see everything you have to do two separate tours. Despite being a little bummed about not seeing certain locations we still had an awesome time and I'm looking forward to going back and taking the other tour. We also struck out on the tour w/ seeing actual filming of the show but since Lost is actively filming at certain places you do have a chance of seeing actual scenes being shot. The cool thing about the tour is that it is very interactive. We were constantly stopping at different locations and were able to get out and hike around and take as making geeky pictures as we wanted to. read more

10 hour LOST tour - The Survivor's Beach site is EMPTY! They moved everything out just before we got there, since they stopped filming like a week ago. That was disappointing. The props are gone from the other sites as well, and there's no chance of running into cast or crew. Therefore, the tour isn't worth the $200 any more. The remaining sites were cool, though, especially the Dharma barracks. Our guide Ricardo was great, very knowledgeable about LOST and Oahu in general, and he showed us photographs of the places we visited from the show so we could try to recreate scenes. We did also see a lot of this beautiful island. I don't know why the trip had to be in a Hummer. We didn't do any off-roading, the windows weren't overly big, and it seemed a bit wasteful to be using so much gasoline. Overall we had a good time, but we're not sure it was worth the $200. read more

I don't know that I've ever felt so inclined to leave a review for anything as much as I'm wanting to today. We took the Circle Island tour with Dave and had the time of our lives. If you're a LOST fan old or new you've got to take this tour. I couldn't keep count of all the locations we stopped at and blew through my phone battery taking pictures. Dave was a great photographer, even including awesome character figurines, and had reference photos for us at each stop. More importantly, he was an unbelievable tour guide. We ended up learning so much about the islands of Hawaii and the Hawaiian language. We really felt like we got our money's worth and then some! We hit a great shrimp shack for lunch, got priority access at the big locations like the botanical gardens, and KOS even had snack bars, water, and a phone charger to get us through the trip. It's our 25th Wedding Anniversary and as huge Lost fans we decided to take another Lost tour. We chose KOS tours because I had heard they are professional, knowledgeable and lots of fun! I'm so glad we did. I wanted a customized tour with only my husband and I, Dave our guide quickly got busy putting together a special tour making a point of scheduling stops we haven't seen before on our first tour 4 years ago (different company). The communication for weeks before we arrived on the island was quick and smooth. Dave went out of his way to make sure our custom tour was perfect. I think it would be officially called the Lost customized circle island tour and it was 10 hours of seeing almost all of beautiful Oahu and every Lost location we could dream of. Dave knew a ton about the show and was very accommodating by taking our picture at every stop. The comfortable air conditioned dharma van was a plus too with plenty of snacks and water. I want to say thanks Dave for making our Anniversary so special and memorable! We even received Lost tshirts and patches at the end of the tour as reminders of our wonderful day! My husband and I just did this tour a couple days ago, and had a great time! We were in town celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. We did the circle tour around the whole island so we could see as much as possible on our last day. Dave was our tour guide, and he was top notch. We are big Lost fans but haven't watched the show since it aired. Dave had an ipad to remind us of the different scenes as he was showing us the different locations. He was so knowledgeable, not just on Lost and other movie / shows that have filmed in Oahu, but also on lots of other facts about the history of the island, nature, geology and more! Dave was so dedicated, and we ended up spending a full 12 hour day out together exploring the island and seeing the sights! I am a photographer and got my most favorite photos from Hawaii during this tour. We only had one other couple with us in the Dharma van, and we had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable while driving all around for the day. And because it was such a small group, the tour felt so customized! I highly recommend going with this company if you're thinking about a Lost / movie tour on Oahu. read more

8-hour Lost Hummer Tour. This was an excellent tour. They take you out to many of the filming locations on the island on Kualoa Ranch and other sites. It is a must for any Lost fan. Even if not a Lost fan, it's a great way to see the beauty of the island that you do not get to see if you only stay in Waikiki. The tour guide was Aaron and he was very friendly and made the tour an enjoyable experience. Along the way, there are a few other sites where movies were filmed (Godzilla, 50 first dates). I lunch stop is made at a place that was also featured in Lost and has great food (Kumi Shrimp on the north shore). One tip for the 8 hour tour is we didn't get lunch until after 1, almost 2, so eat a good breakfast. Granola bars and water are in the hummer for snacks but bring your own items if you feel you want something else. read more

Me and my girlfriend went on the 12 hour tour which we ended up at "the ranch" which is where alot of hollywood films are made. When we were on out tour they were actually filming for the movie "battleship" which is based off of the board game. But overall if you're a lost fan or movie buff this tour is really worth it! It's pretty pricey but the scenery in this compound is absolutely worth it!!!! This compound is thousands of acres of just amazing views! If you go on the 12 hour tour you'll know what I mean... The next time I get back out to Honolulu, I plan on checking out the 14 hour tour which doesn't even take you to the ranch compound at all.. read more

First off, this is a review for the five hour tour. I want to start by saying that we really did enjoy ourselves, but I'm not sure that it is worth the money. I would recommend that you drive to the ranch for the two hour tour because you can see the rest on your own. The Hummer ride through the ranch is worth the tour. The tour was fun and I loved seeing familiar Lost scenery, but I feel like it is getting a little stale because so much time has passed since the show ended...I would have LOVED to take this when Lost was still filming. The tour takes you to several places on the island where movies and tv shows were filmed. They even provide a dvd player and a binder of screenshots from the films for reference. Our guide was funny and highly enthusiastic about his job, which made this tour entertaining. It is roughly 90% about the show Lost so if you're a huge Lost fan (which I am not) than you will love this tour. If you are like me and have never seen the show than you will spend most of your time trying to follow along with the tour. read more

We saw a bunch of locations that were matched to screen grabs of the show. The coolest part was walking around the Dharma camp. In addition our tour guide showed us other cool places on the island that only a local would know about. The tour guide was also a huge fan of the show which added to the tour. We took a 2 hour off roaf Hummer tour which began at the Kualoa Ranch. We visited the WW2 Gun Battery, Ka a awa Valley and areas where many such films and shows were filmed like Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Pearl Harbor, Battleship, Journey 2, Lost, Hawaii Five-O, Fantasy Island among others not listed. We were in Oahu a week after the series finale of Lost and it was only fitting to do a tour of the hit TV show. Not only would it be a great way to see where they filmed famous scenes, but also a good way to see the best sites on Oahu. We simply Googled "Lost tours" and the first thing that came up was the Kos Tours - Hummer Tours Hawaii. But we did a little research to see what other tours were available. It came down to the Kos Tours 2-Hour $79 Lost/Movie Adventures or the Kualoa Ranch Movie Sites & Ranch 1-Hour $21 Tour. We were about to book the cheaper tour, until we saw the rave reviews that Kos Tours received on Yelp and on their website. Being HUGE Lost fans, we decided to do the more expensive one and it was definitely WORTH IT thanks to our awesome tour guide, Ricardo! We highly recommend doing a Kos tour because of the following: 1. More "intimate" tour, we only had 5 people in the Hummer (including the driver/tour guide) although the vehicle can fit another 2, so we were able to ask all our questions and we were able to take our time during the tour and take as many photos. 2. Because all 4 of us were Lost fans, Ricardo customized our tour to specifically target only the Lost sites as long as we were all in agreement (which was the case). We saw some Lost film sites that would only have been covered on the 5-hour tour. 3. The tour route will take you to other movie sites as well, so Ricardo gave us tidbits on movies like Jurassic Park, Godzilla, 50 First Dates, Mighty Joe Young, and Windtalkers. 4. At each Lost site, Ricardo took out a binder with photos of the Lost scenes filmed there so we were able to link the scene to the location. 5. There were specific sites where Ricardo had props which he incorporated into our pictures. They came out great and HILARIOUS! He had a small, blue VW van figure and Ricardo had us pose as if we were Jin and Sawyer pushing Hurley down the hill. At Hurley's Golf Course, Ricardo had a small Hurley figurine and he had us swing a golf club with "Hurley". It was so much fun! It was really cool to see all the Lost sites and the Kualoa Ranch and Ka'a'awa Valley were quite the sights to see. We've traveled all over the world, but Kualoa Ranch is one of the most beautiful places we've been to. If you're thinking about doing a tour while you're in Oahu, you should book it through Kos Tours! Ed Kos is really nice and he'll answer any questions you may have prior to booking. read more

After years of dreaming, I finally got to go on the tour and it was everything I'd hoped for and more! My boyfriend and I stayed at Disney's Aulani resort and Dave went out of his way to pick us up rather than having us Uber to Waikiki. He also changed the order of the tour a bit to maximize the locations we got to see because of the different pickup location. We'd originally booked the South Shore tour, but because of the pickup Dave suggested we do the North instead, which ended up being perfect. He also showed us some of the South Shore locations since the routes ended up overlapping. I didn't realize he'd also tell us so much about Hawaii itself--it was super interesting to learn about! All of the locations (both LOST and otherwise) were absolutely gorgeous and Dave told us everything about everywhere we went. He took great photos of us and we never felt rushed and got to take as many photos as we wanted and appreciate the scenery. I also loved that he has figurines for photos! That was a really nice touch. He took us by a local gift shop and let us take our time to get some souvenirs. Since we're in the midst of COVID, I also thought I'd mention that we did all wear masks and we felt very safe on the tour. It was incredible getting such an extensive private tour of the island. I really can't recommend this tour enough. Even if you're not a LOST fan, you get to see how absolutely gorgeous Hawaii is. If I go to Oahu again, I'd love to do the South Shore and Lighthouse hike as well! read more

I'm a freakishly obsessed Lost fan, so I knew this was the tour for me. Literally, we went to Oahu on our honeymoon for the sole purpose of seeing Lost film sites, so this was by far the best thing we did on Oahu. Our tour guide was fantastic and a lot of fun (we had fun battling our Lost trivia knowledge) and the small size of the tour (4 people per tour) really helped make it something extremely personal. He catered the sites that we visited to our interests and was very flexible and informative, both about Lost and about the island as a whole. Honestly the best tour I have ever been on, Hawaiian or otherwise. We opted for the 5 hour tour and if we ever come back to Oahu, I would love to go again for the 10 hours one. WOW. Just got back from the Lost tour and had the most amazing time. My husband and I chose the circle island tour and got to see so many incredible locations from the show. Dave was a five star tour guide, so knowledgeable and friendly, drove us to a great local shrimp shack for lunch. I took the full day Circle Island Tour. I was looking to take a tour of the island, and it was an added bonus to find one that centered on the TV show Lost. It had been a while since I had seen the series on TV, so I didn't remember every scene and every landmark that they showed us, but it was still really neat to see so many of the places where they had filmed. I was traveling alone and had booked the tour last minute, so I ended up as the only other person on a tour with a family of 4. This could have been really awkward, but they were all really nice people. The tour guide Dave was great as well. He had vast knowledge of the show Lost, the various scenes and where they were filmed, as well as knowledge of the island itself and its history. He made sure everyone had a good time and helped us get some fun pictures to take home. When I got home after my vacation, I started to go back and re-watch some of the episodes to see if I could pick out the places we saw. If you were really into this show when it was on TV, or if you watched the series recently on Netflix or DVD, you should definitely take this tour! read more

This trip was amazing! It was two tours in one, Lost tour and a sightseeing tour of the entire island. At first we thought it was a little pricey but it ended up being worth every penny and was the highlight of our vacation. Dave, our tour guide did an exceptional job taking us to major Lost filming locations including the church, crash site beach, other beaches, darma village and many many more. The tour lasted all day and at no point did we feel tired or bored. When we return to Hawaii we would do this tour again!!! read more
