Extremely disappointed by the service. I made an appointment via the app a week ago for a couple of recalls and added a comment that my left wiper stopped working. I arrived at Korum Hyundai, and the gentleman at the front office told me he couldn't see the comment and therefore wouldn't be able to look at the wiper. I ask if they could still try to fix it since we are living in WA and not having a wiper working is kind of a big deal and would make a rescheduling complicated because it would have to be a non rainy day so I can drive the car. With zero compassion, the answer was no! As a result of it, I won't be able to use my car for another week and IF I'm lucky and it is not raining next week for my appointment, I can come back. Had an awesome experience with sales late 2024, been to service recently and truly wish we hadn't. This was for scheduled maintenance (tire rotation and inspection). We arrived for our scheduled appointment (11:30am) on-time, with only one other person in the service lobby with 3 advisors at their computers and one other person off to the right on another computer. She said she was not an advisor. About 20 minutes of waiting, the non advisor (approx 11:52am) got us checked in, due to advisors being on the phone or just unavailable. Once checked in, we were told it would be 1.5 hours or less for the service. We also asked they look at replacing the wiper blades because they weren't working and noisy. Over 2 hours after quoting 1.5 hours, now nearly 2pm) they said the car is done and we owed $73 for the front wiper blades. I asked about the warranty and the advisor said the 12 month wiper warranty expired 2 weeks prior. I also asked why we weren't advised of the cost of these wiper blades and all the advisor could say was "I wasn't the one who checked you in". I asked for the new wiper blades to be removed as paying $73 is bonkers, they removed them and we left. Due to how slow they were, never greeting us, and lack of providing an estimate for services, we're not interested in using this dealership for service in the future. -we got awesome wiper blades off amazon for $26 delivered the next morning. Service Department does not value your time. On multiple occasions, I have made an appointment to get my car in the have it checked out for one thing or another. Each time I have verified on the phone the approximate wait time for the visit. EVERY time I have been there, the car doesnt even get into the shop for at least 2 hours past my appointment time. Either stop lying to people when making appointments or keep to your schedule, its not rocket science. Sincerely frustrated and if I hadnt bought the lifetime service package I would never go there again for work done to my Hyundai. They act like you wont be there that long then they keep you all day held hostage since they have your car. read more

Had my car serviced there, and they used an autowasher on it, which I never personally use as it can damage my vinyl. I got it back scratched to hell with brush-like marks on the trunk. Service manager Keith asked to see the car, I wasted an hour and a half driving it out there and sitting and waiting for him to come take a look at it. He claimed that it's impossible for their brushes to make that mark, but he lied to me and said if I bring it out again the detailer can buff it out for me. I don't have availability during the time the detailer was available so I had my girlfriend drive it over, which he assured me was fine. After making her wait there for 2 hours they said it's not their fault "it must have been a box or something" and buffing it wouldn't fix it, so there's nothing they're going to do about it. Finally got in because my wrong way alert just goes off randomly on my brand new 2023 palisade. They seem to think this should just be tolerated. Got in for what was suppose to be a 2 hour appointment and after 5.5 hours Keith, the manager had no clue and then tried to lie about how he said it would be no more than two hours. Do not buy a car here, do not get your car fixed here. In fact, don't buy a Hyundai Tucson. Long read, but worth it. Don't make the mistakes we did. In 2016 my husband bought a brand new Hyundai Tucson. He was so pleased with it, he even referred his sister to buy a car here. Not more than 2 years later and roughly 40k miles on it (we drive a lot) and the car just starts breaking down. The transmission on this vehicle is horrendous. It constantly sticks or stalls when going to a rolling stop, entering a round about or slowing in an intersection for safety. EVERY time I took my car in for an oil change they say "well we don't notice anything wrong" or "you would have to pay for us to diagnose it". While I understand that its still a business, I am not the only one with this problem. I even heard another customer with the same car telling them the same thing after her oil change and they kept saying "nothing is wrong with it" or "we already did the recall". THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THESE CARS. I told them multiple times on several occasions that the transmission stalls and they were not interested in even driving it in their parking lot without $160. Fast forward to 2021, after paying ~$2,000 for the extended warranty, then another $750 every 15k miles after 30k miles and this car continues to take a dive. The heat went out in the middle of winter this year. I called to make an appointment and dropped my car off. Then they had to order a part and I had to pay another $100 for the deductible from my warranty. They said "part will be in next week and we will give you a call!".... no call the following week, no update either. Then I call them the week after, furious because no one bothered to update me. "Oh well the part is on back order so it will be another week". GREATTTTT I will continue to be without heat and just keep calling for updates then. Finally, part comes in. They fix the car very quickly and I am pleasantly surprised! I walk in, pick up my car and drive off. HEAT. STILL. DOESNT. WORK. Furious, I call them immediately and explain that I just took $30 worth of ubers after dropping off my car and the heat still ISNT WORKING. They told me to drop it back off, which I did and they would take a look. Couple days later, car is fixed. A few weeks later (today), heat goes out AGAIN. I call once more, still furious I paid my deductible with heat not working again, to have them fix it ONCE MORE. They tell me today, "we don't have an appointment for 5 days". Seriously?!?!? You mean to tell me, the thousands I spent on the warranty, the thousands I spent maintaining the warranty and the $100 deductible I paid for YOU TO FIX THE HEAT doesn't get me in same day? YOU DID NOT ACTUALY FIX THE HEAT. Why is it the middle of the winter and now this is the third time I am bringing it back for you to fix AGAIN and I have to wait for you to have time? WHY AM I WAITING ON YOU TO FIX WHAT YOU SAID YOU ALREADY FIXED!!!!!!!!!! FIX MY CAR SO I CAN GET RID OF IT. Transmission constantly sticks, heat has gone out on drivers side now 3 times. Beware. Hyundai of America, and Korum Hyundai refuse to honor the warranty that my vehicle came with. I have a 2022 Hyundai Kona that I purchased new. During a trip to Long Beach in August the radiator developed a leak. At the time I had just turned 30,000 miles so I was well within the warranty. I was able to limp the car home, but the car was not drivable until the radiator was replaced. I called Korum Hyundai trying to get the car in for repair. I was told that they could not get the car in for repair until late September, or October. As the car was not drivable, and they claimed that their repair shop was booked, I had no choice but to have the car repaired at a private shop at my own expense. I have requested reimbursement from Hyundai, but they refuse saying that they don't reimburse for third party repairs, even if they can not do the repair in a timely manner themselves. Here's my take on this: 1. The Hyundai 100,000 mile warranty is not worth the paper that it's written on. 2: Because Hyundai reimburses it's dealers at a lower rate for warranty work than the dealer can make charging "full bore" for people walking in off the street, they have no incentive to do the warranty work and will make it almost impossible to the get car repaired. I do like my car. But if you plan on buying one understand that Korum Hyundai, and Hyundai America will not make it east to get the car repaired under the warranty. read more

I recently went to Korum Puyallup for recalls I had 5 in my vehicle Hyundai. I originally had a drop of appointment but my circumstances changed. I arrived at 11 (time of my appointment) I told them I had to out by 2:30 so I can pick up my son. Then I said they can do what they can in that time frame. I was fine with them not being able to do everything. The service specialist didn't even talk to me she kept sending her assistant and telling me they can't guarantee the time. I was like you can't even do 1 or 2 of the recalls? Again NO. I then said OK I'll take my business somewhere else. I left that auto shop then called the Auburn Hyundai. They set me up with a new appointment and informed me that they could get me in and work with my time frame. In addition most of the recalls have parts that needed to be ordered! Oh and 1 recall was literally just someone looking at a plug to see if it was damaged or not! So tell me why they could not doe this in a 3.5 hour frame at Puyallup! Also not to mention it took like 5 minutes for anyone to even address me at the Puyallup Hyundai. I was scheduled to be with DJ; however, he was busy, and Sedric F. took over and was my service advisor. He was kind, great at communication, patient, explained in great detail and even explained some things twice without being annoyed with my questions. He didn't push sales either nor rushed to check me out.You can tell he's very compassionate and cares what he does. Went back to Korum today and got some good help from the general manager. In hindsight I should have asked for him the first time I was there. It was not my intention to get the guys at the service desk into any trouble. They are usually very helpful and the problem I am having with our Santa Fe is probably way over their head. In my own opinion I think by trying to increase fuel mileage or by trying to lower emissions car manufacturers are designing engines which create more problems than they are trying to solve. I also own a 2019 Nissan Altima 4 cylinder 2.5 liter and my brother owns a 2013 Nissan Altima 6 cylinder 3.5 liter and he gets 30% better gas mileage than I do. This kind of tells you that trying to reduce emissions is not working out too well. read more

When you buy new..you can bring your vehicle in for courtesy washes. Just don't abuse it. These guys were very nice to me. Of couse I wound up trading my Mercedes in for a non luxury vehicle but the benefits outweighed the negatives. Service staff was not overbearing, everyone I spoke too was very friendly right down to the parts department lady. I think they have something going good here. I was expecting to be defensive immediately and walk out if they kept at me, but they were actually very informative. I wasn't considering a trade in, but soon as I found out a little more, I was actually interested in doing that for convenience sake. Made sense to me. I came out with an 2013 6 Speed AT All Leather, All Power with all the newest technology in the Elantra Limited. Initially I went to just test drive the new Veloster. I would have been interested in the Turbo Automatic because that is the loaded model with all leather but they don't seem to have them..only stick shift. I can drive a manual but just didn't want too. So I went with a more reasonable vehicle with more space in the back. Their warranty is the best out there to date that I'm aware of. They will spend lots of time with you getting you to understand some of the operations within the vehicle. It takes getting used too as far as the perimeter key. I've only had it for two weeks. I may update this later the longer I have to vehicle to see if it holds up to my fullest expectations or not. Saving in fuel, saving in insurance, maintenance. Can't save with a Luxury sedan. So backstory. I bought a used car from Milam Mazda. Did my research and came in ahead of time knowing exactly what I was approved for. Still had a bit of wait, but in car buying world I was out super quick. Well in December of 2018 we were rear ended by a taxi driver. Insurance said the car was totaled (we were fine), so after getting all the rigmarole squared away with insurance, GAP, etc, we quickly realized that we needed to get another vehicle. The wife and I are a 1 car house and it was her turn to pick, so she did some research and fell in love with a white Hyundai Santa Fe. Well after getting connected with Jean and doing as much work ahead of time as I could, we were in and once again we were out in a pretty quick timeframe. Jean was friendly, patient, and a real delightful treat to work with. We were not as diligent as we could have been regarding routine maintenance (oil changes, etc) with prior cars so we both agreed that we'd do better. Very first time that I needed to get the oil changed (at the dealership service department), I was shocked when they quoted me the 54 bucks plus tax. I generally prefer going to the dealership service departments to get my oil changes and I was paying almost a hundred bucks at Milam. That was the first thing that really hooked me. Their speed, their friendliness and high level of service received kept me coming back each time. Recently they went above and beyond to take care of me. My breaks (pads plus rotors) needed to be replaced and I of course went back. They took care of it, but after driving there was a concerning noise (loud grinding). Well after getting the car towed back they took it from me and set me up with a loaner for the few days that needed to get it fixed. Repair didn't cost me a dime. I have very mixed feelings about this place. The man I purchased my car from back in April was an outstanding guy, very friendly and welcoming and got me just what I needed. I believe his name was Joe. If you wanna buy a car here, they're very accommodating when it comes to getting you out the door with a new one you'll be more than happy with. The service center though? I have very different opinions on. Fast-forward 3 months after I bought the car, I noticed my back left tire started to lose pressure. I needed to fill it up every week otherwise I would be driving on a flat. Kind of strange that my brand new car (with no damage to the tire whatsoever) would have a leak but I kind of left it at that. 3 more months go by and I'm driving back from Portland when all of the sudden my front left tire blows out. I hadn't hit a single thing. I had to pull over on the highway and call AAA to come and put on a spare for me. My car at this point had only had 4000 miles on it. I figured I could call Hyundai and they'd more than happily replace my tires for a discounted fee if not pro bono because of the circumstances. Not only did the guy I see there accuse me of hitting something, (I had a scratch on the left side right under my gas cap where I accidentally scraped my keys along side it the first week I had it. Gotta break it in somehow, right?) he said that the tires cannot be replaced for free because "I've seen people pop their tires 3 minutes off the lot" and "I saw a bruise on the back so something definitely happened to the car on that side that caused the tires to be that way.". Okay? Does my word not count for anything? I'm not making up some bullshit story so you'll give me free tires. The car I bought from you guys had problems only 5 months after I bought it from you, with only 4000 miles on it. I came to you guys hoping you'll at least attempt to help me fix this problem with some courtesy. He clocked me as a gullible kid walking in looking for handouts. Just because I'm a 22 year old, doesn't mean I drive the car like an idiot and slam into things. He was incredibly rude and told me to come back tomorrow to get it replaced because they didn't have the right tires in stock. I asked him about a warranty for the new tires and my still existing ones and he backpedaled to his previous statement that "anything can happen." and offered me no options on warranties. So I took my car, cancelled my appointment for the next day to get them replaced, and went up to Discount Tire where they replaced both of my tires and got all four of them on a warranty that cost me less than it would've to just replace two at Hyundai. I will never return to this place to get anything done on my car from this point forward. I'll take it to a different dealership if I have to, but this man has completely offended and turned me off of this service for good. read more

Really nice place. Customer service great and friendly. We stoped in this morning for a recall fix of our hood latch. They got us in and out in 30 minutes with a car wash and vacuum. The waiting area was real cozy and spacious. Do not let them chairs fool you they are not comfortable. They look it though. They even have complimentary popcorn. read more

It is unlike me to leave a negative review, but my experience with the Service Department has made me feel very undervalued as a customer who purchased a vehicle through this company. When I got my car 5 months ago, I was promised a simple repair. I came in for the fix... they ordered the wrong part.... They called me back to come in a second time...and they didn't paint it the right color so they told me I would need to take time out of my schedule a THIRD time and come back again! This was several months ago. No one got back to me once the part was painted. I called 3 weeks ago and was promised a call back.. I did not get one. I left a voicemail days later.. I did not get a call back. Finally, I call again today and the girl on the phone says, "oh yeah it's here!" like it has just been sitting there all this time? Very frustrating experience. I made an appointment, hope I don't get asked to return a 4th time. Feels like I've been given the runaround.... I hope for better communication and that they acknowledge the inconvenience they are putting people though with these kinds of situations. read more

Based on Yelp reviews went to Korum to buy a car. We were not disappointed. Worked with Chase. He made the process smooth and easy, took the time to explain the workings of the car, and quickly responded to emailed questions. And to Korum's credit, we saved $2000 over other nearby dealers who are now charging a premium. Korum doesn't go the premium route. Strongly recommend Korum Hyundai and encourage you to ask for Chase. read more
