I recommend trying the house special roll and I won't say any more than that. Since the renovation, Umi has gone All-You-Can-Eat for a modest price and the quality does not suffer. You can also go all in All-You-Can-Drink for an extra cost but I wasn't that daring. However, while the food and service are excellent, the dining experience is not as immersive due to the bright lighting and the weird selection of a Top 40 music radio station for ambiance. Something softer in both departments would go a long way. Also noted are the construction/cleaning supplies in the hallway leading to the bathroom. Perhaps these are leftover from the renovation but cleaning this up and putting your focus towards renovating the bathrooms would elevate this restaurant to the next level.
