Falcon Kebab Shop - (1/2) I always end up eating the food before I remember to photograph it, so here is the menu instead. Current as of January 2016.

This place is a real find. Everything, or most things, seem to be handmade, the food tastes great,…read morethe owner is super kind and friendly and for the size and quality of the food, it is very cheap. The lamb meat for the kebab is prepared in the shop and is deliciously marinated and spiced, the bread for both the pita and the durum are homemade, warmed to order, tasty and have a wonderful texture. It even seems like the falafel is handmade, at any rate, the falafel paste is taken from a bowl and shaped and fried to order. I have been three times in the last six months, and it keeps impressing me deeply. The owner is so friendly, and you get to take your exact pick of the toppings (various salad items, yoghurt, sometimes hummus, chilli etc.) to go in your bread. Toppings are also very fresh and appetizing. The prices are ridiculously low for the volume you get. Top tip: Even if you feel very hungry, chances are the pita will be enough to fill you up. It is huge! Only drawback I guess is that the small dining space is a little "cold", held in stark black colours and mirror surfaces. Not a place that invites sitting for hours and savouring the atmosphere. But hey, that is not what you go to a kebab place for anyway, and the friendliness of the owner more than makes up for it! Prices: 35 DKK for a HUGE pita, 45 DKK for an even huger durum roll. Get it to go if you can, but if you live far away eat it there. The food is really delightful.

The kebab had no sauce at all and tasted like a christmas tree. There was no try at decoration. The walls were filled with a large Turkish wall painting that looked like something out of my strange addiction when the person is addicted to buying wierd things. Overall it was a restyraunt from my nightmares.

As is it says in the the name of the establishment - "Kebab" - I reckon they have shawarma and burger along with some basic falafel desserts. We all snagged a spicy burger, because it had already been vouched on. The burgers are made to order, so give yourselves about 20 minutes or so for the order to go through. If you're getting shawarma then it'll go by faster, because that they already have heated up. We wanted burgers. The spicy burger is a fresh ground chuck filled with spices that doesn't hit you right away. It does have a delayed kick and it was wonderful. The burgers are served with some fries (wedges) and the condiments are extra jalapeños, ketchup, and mayo/red chili sauce. I had a Pulp Fiction flashback with the mayo as a dipping sauce. The red chili mixed in, though, is great. The price was right and we were satisfied. Take note that the place is small and that there is limited seating throughout. If you're in a group of 4 then head over to the back and snag the large table. The rest of the seating arrangements are only for 2 people each.

Portion size? Portion size?! I just hope I can get to order my mixed grill…read more After missing the first pitch in similar hilarity to Goomba, I failed to calm my nerves. Next thing I knew I sat face to face with a massive Biryani plate. All this parasympathetic breathing practice is worthless if an ordering delay rattles my nerves into poor ordering! I showed up intent on meat, so the mixed grill seemed the only viable way to measure Kebabish fairly. However, the estimated twenty minute wait meant other options needed to be exercised. This is a wait I'll take anytime prior to 10PM, but once we reach the "Open Late" designation the immediacy kicks in. Truth be told, some of this lies in my hands. What to order, ya know? Plenty of options lay before me and I recognize my error. With that said, it just didn't hit. Enough rice for three surrounded enough meat for one. In the day and age of optimization, we've got to dial in these ratios! It's clear this spot is a bastion of recovery for night-crawlers. Cheeky kebab while you watch the world crawl by, absolutely. Some added flair of YouTube music videos and we are rounding the corner. For this I understand Kebabish's intent. I'm not rushing to return, yet understand why some may. Keep on keeping on.
