Its off the beaten path but easy to access via taxi or public transportation. This is a traditional style Croatian restaurant. Decor...Feels like you are in Croatia with the painted walls, wood bench seats and general decor. There's a small outdoor section under umbrellas where we sat. At an intersection of a fairly quiet street so the car noise wasn't too bad. Service...This is a husband and wife team from Dubrovnik and are as sweet as you can be. Feels like you are being welcomed into their home. Food...Very traditional which means simple and clean flavors. + Fish stew - Started with fish stew with a yellow broth - swore it was spiced with saffron but the warm, yellow color and flavor came from vegetables. Notably carrots. + Fish - Salted whole Bronzino which is a Mediterranean Seabass. Delicate and perfectly cooked. They brought 3 raw whole fish to the table to allow us to pick which one we wanted and to show us ow fresh the fish is. This is typical for the Adriatic region. Fileted the fish at the table! + Grilled veggies - they were simple and straight forward. I would have preferred more veggies because they were so good. In fact, we ended up eating there two nights in a row, something we never do, but the food was so good that we just had to come back. The first night we shared a mixed platter of three different types of fresh grilled fish. The fish was prepared perfectly; each fish served whole and deboned for us at our table. The second night we had various dishes including pasta, grilled squid (best we have ever had) and mussels in a white wine, tomato sauce. All excellent. Topping it off was great service in a very cozy setting. This is a somewhat new restaurant and I suspect it will get discovered very quickly!
