I stayed with this group for a decade, because I like my doctor, but some members of the office…read morestaff simply do not have the patients' best interests as their primary concern. During my time with this office, I've had my blood work done many times, and every time, they say they'll call me with the results. Honestly, 75% of the time they do not call. A week or more will go by, and I'll have to call to get the results, and a week thereafter, I may get a form in the mail (one that looks like it was photocopied a million times, so the text is blurred & faded), on which are my blood-work numbers, scribbled inside the text boxes. Sometimes, I'll get the form & no call, sometimes a call & no form, but most of the time, it's neither. When I need a prescription called in to my pharmacy, they tell me they'll do it within 24 to 48 hours. After going to the pharmacy a couple times and having them tell me no one called them for my prescription, I now call the office first, to remind them to do what they said they'd do. On multiple occasions, I've needed a prescription mailed to me (which my doctor kindly recommended, to save me from having to drive there), and the staff always say they'll mail it within 24-48 hours. Roughly 75% of the time, I've gotten it in the mail within 4-5 business days, but of the other 25% of the time, they either forget to put it in the outgoing mail, or they forget they're supposed to mail it & it sits there for a week, and they forget to call me to tell me it's ready to be picked up. Last year, I needed a referral, so my doctor said he'd have his staff set up an appointment, and they'll get in touch with me. A week went by, and I heard nothing. I called, they had no idea what I was talking about & said they'd ask my doctor. Another week went by... I called, they said they'll get back to me ASAP. Nearly another week went by, and I got an envelope from them in the mail. It had a referral form in it, with an appointment scheduled for a month later. Because they forgot to do it, it cost me nearly 3 weeks, and then instead of calling me with the details, they mailed it to me, delaying the information by another 3-4 days. During the ten years or so that I've been a patient, there was just one time that I actually forgot about something; I had an appointment last year, and it completely slipped my mind. I only remembered it when I got a letter in the mail, only a few days after my scheduled appointment; it was a bill for $25, because I forgot to call them... I'm penalized for my one-time forgetfulness, and I'm also penalized for their habitual forgetfulness. The obvious thing to do is to talk to my doctor about the problems with the office staff. I have. He told me to speak with the office manager any time I have any problems. I have. Basically, it goes like this: a staff member neglects to do something, so I call & ask about it. They tell me they forgot/misplaced/didn't get the message, etc., but she'll take care of it right now. I ask to speak with the manager. I'm put on hold, the office manager eventually picks up, I tell her the problem, she puts me on hold, eventually comes back on, says they'll take care of it right now, puts me on hold, and then the same staff person eventually picks up & says she'll take care of it right now. After going through that routine a few times, I realized I'm not accomplishing anything - I'm just wasting even more of my time. I like my doctor, and there are few really good members of the office staff, but there's a systemic problem with this medical group, and although the symptoms have been identified & discussed with more than one authority, on more than one occasion, those symptoms still have yet to be satisfactorily treated. I've been a patient patient, but it's time to walk away & find a more reliable, trustworthy, and professional organization (and I suggest my future-former doctor do the same).

Frustrating customer experience. Potential racism. Absolutely treated me like a fool…read more Their messaging/call center is obtuse and frustrating. I've had to repeat that my insurance will not approve a medication the office provided several times and only gotten it resolved by going directly to an office to speak with a staff member. The Port Jervis location in NY has a receptionist who gives me (a person of color) dirty looks each time I go there. Even asking for the wi-fi password they did not seem to appreciate that I was speaking to them. Today I went to follow up because I had to get bloodwork submitted to them in order to try Accutane. They were supposed to call me but I had no messages from them. Turns out they called me "a million times" according to the acting physician and because they need "consistent follow-up" they decided I am not a good fit for Accutane. Mind, I'm not on it nor was it ordered. I apologized because I'd been having phone issues and asked to just update my contact info. They repeated what they'd said and when I said "okay" they turned around and left. I did the same. No asking me if I would like a follow-up appointment, no further elaboration. "Yeah so we asked you to do bloodwork and we were going to call you to confirm when we received it, we called you a million times including your emergency numbers and you didn't respond, so we feel you are not a good fit, we're not going to do anything about it have a good day no we don't care that you're sorry." I was on Azelaic Acid and Trentinoin for a while. They gave me a month supply which was a single tube. I had to go to 2 visits for them to agree that my skin damage was too extensive for one tube a month. I spoke with an older doctor who saw the damage and said "yeah, you need more than Acid/Trentinoin." Completely invalidated what the last 3 doctors said. Every doctor I spoke to after him gave me a side-eye like I wasn't supposed to know that.

It completely failed 4 weeks later! When I went back for the second surgery he told my wife that he couldn't do anything with it cause he cut too much off the first. My wife suffered anureyism 2 days later and had to go in for surgery on a Tuesday. That Monday night a Large Hematoma developed and the ICU doctors taking care of my wife sent me to the ER at Albany Med where they said they wouldn't do anything to help since it was post-surgical. I left the hospital to go home and get some rest after being at my wife's bedside all weekend and tried to get some sleep my wife's surgery Tuesday morning. Later that night the swelling was so severe and the stitches were being stretched that I was afraid they would pop. So I went to Clifton Park Ellis Care where they too wouldn't help and told me I would need to go to Ellis Hospital to see Dr. Aronowitz on his surgical day. I ended up missing the talking to my wife before her surgery as he agreed to see me real quick. They took me to an optical exam room and drained several 100 cc of fluid and told me it had coagulated and they couldn't get any more out. My wife died 7 days later and I missed saying I loved her and hearing a response. I was repeatedly told while I was on Cobra Healthcare that there was nothing that could be done and I would have to live with the Popeye Arm and the pain and that was my new norm for the last 2 year. I actually had to go to the VA Hospital to get it fixed. The doctor there said he could fix it no problem and he was correct. So how is this High End Medical Group couldn't fix it but they VA Could? Dr. Aronowitz you need to contact Dr. Abrahamson at the VA Bay Pines, FL 727-396-6661 Ortho Clinic and ask him what he did to fix my arm so you can correctly fix other people in the future!

I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!
