I was intrigued by their signs and pictures of their specialties and usually I don't do this, I ordered off a picture on the wall!! My server pointed it out on the menu General Mao's Braised Pork. OMGoodness Braised pork belly with Bok choy in a delicious brown sauce. Winner! Because I love Bok choy , I also ordered this as a vegetable side. Rice came with the meal, and I ordered hot green tea that added a light rose taste to your palate. A big appreciation was the beautiful old style tea pot that was brought to my table. Presentation of my food order was gorgeous. The pork belly was so soft and tender, the sauce was so good I couldn't help but spoon it over my rice. Portions were generous. The restaurant is cute and casual with a wonderful assortment of New England style seafood and sides. I ordered a blackened haddock sandwich, onion rings and coleslaw. It was really delicious. I was so happy that I wasn't limited to fish fry and that the blackened haddock came out of the kitchen just as quickly as my friend's fried fish fillet sandwich. I'm trying to eat healthier especially after my doctor recently assigned me a nutritionist so she expects to see results. On that note, Eddie F's New England style onion rings are almost guilt free. Our helpful server, Ashlynn, explained that these onion rings are not heavily breaded and battered like the traditional ones. I stuck some of them in my sandwich along with some coleslaw and went-to-town. I should mention the coleslaw is different, too. I asked,"Is there any mayonnaise ? I don't see or taste any." I say all that because we live in Clifton Park and only just now got to this location for the first time even though we had been relatively regular customers of the former Harbor House. Apparently, 5:30PM on a Monday during Lent is a good time to dine here. We were the only customers when we walked in and only two other parties arrived by the time we left. With that said, service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. There were many different things I wanted to try, so the best option for me was the Captains Basket ($45). Initially, this seemed expensive to me. But when the meal was placed in front of me, two thoughts crossed my mind - am I going to try to eat all this? - and will I enjoy it? The answers were NO and YES, respectively. The Captains Basket contains haddock, scallops, shrimp, and Ipswich whole belly clams. The portions of each were very generous and I was able to include two sides. While I chose to have all my fish fried, I could have mixed and matched additional choices of grilled, blackened, or gluten free fried. The coating on the fried fish is light and not overly salty. All the fish varieties were perfectly cooked. The haddock was flakey, the shrimp had a slight crunch to their bite, the whole belly clams were soft and creamy, and the scallops were tender, sweet, and slightly springy. My side of onion rings were not greasy and very thinly sliced. I generally prefer a thicker sliced onion. The baked beans I ordered mostly for my wife's enjoyment, and while I thought the consistency was more fluid than what I expected, my wife said they reminded her of pork and beans. My wife's choice for dinner was the Fish N Chips ($19) - battered and fried with French fries and slaw. She had two good sized portions of haddock of equal quality to my haddock, and non-greasy fries that were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and still tasty when I tried them at room temperature. The slaw was average. A couple of large sodas ($3.50 each) rounded out our meal. Neither of us finished our meal and took some home to enjoy the next day - and we did! On our next trip, I plan to order less fish and save room for dessert since the choices sounded so good.

It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!
