Probably the tastiest and most reliable quick Chinese spot in this area. I lived here for several months and tried all of the nearby places, and Kong Long is the one that earned my loyalty. The wings are great, large juicy pieces, well cooked. All the rice dishes and noodle dishes have been great. You don't come into a spot like this and expect it to look like a sit down restaurant in terms of cleanliness or ambiance. They don't expect you to eat in the restaurant, and you shouldn't eat in the restaurant. The house is basically a waiting room. If this is an issue for you as a diner, Panda Express is probably more your speed. But this place has better food, and the staff care more about what they are doing. i've been coming here since i was a young child (i'm almost 21 now) and i've never had a disappointing experience. the owner has always been so sweet and their prices are so reasonable for large amounts of food, which is very rare to find nowadays. you can get a hot, fresh, large meal from here (and probably have leftovers for later) for the same price of a disappointing mcdonald's meal. the containers are always packed full and the food is made to order. we just got home with our to go order and after picking it up and the 15 minute drive home, it was still piping hot when we opened it. the meat was steaming, egg rolls were crispy and hot, everything was perfect. the workers are always friendly, food is always hot, tasty and fresh, and the prices are great. you really can't beat it. growing up, this was one of the only couple of places that my parents could afford to get dinner for the family when we wanted takeout, and we'd all always end our dinner satisfied and with leftovers! they've stayed true to their great pricing all these years. i recommend kong long to all of my friends when the topic of good chinese food places comes up. even when i lived in carrollton, i chose to make the 25-30 minute drive to get my chinese food here because i could count on the quality being consistent. it is rare that you see a small family owned business last this long, and i really think that can be credited to their consistency with providing great quality and quantities of food with friendly service read more

We Would definitely recommend. It's a quick in and out place if you order ahead and the woman at the counter is always friendly to friendly faces-so be friendly. Food is made to order, so you are going to have to wait a bit if you walk up to order. My family has been going here at least every couple of months for many years. We've tried many things on the menu and have never once had a bad meal. Huge portions. Family favorites are the Lo Mein, General Tso's, Cashew Chicken, and dumplings. Horrible experience! I tried to order the lunch moo goo gai pan. She kept saying something about fried rice. I never really understood her, but I emphasized that I wanted fried rice and an egg roll with it. The amount charged seemed to be too much for what I ordered. I got the menu and showed her that the fried rice and egg roll came with the order. She said the menu was wrong. (Something) fried rice was separate order. I finally realized that she was saying shrimp fried rice. Told her I wanted plain fried rice. I thought everything was good from that point. I got my order and it felt really light. There was no moo goo gai pan! I asked her where my moo goo gai pan was. She said that, "You no pay for moo goo gai pan." I told her she could keep the food at that point. This was my first and last time going to this place. Very poor customer service and very rude. I ordered egg drop soup and asked what was the wait time. I was told 10 minutes. I waited about 20 minutes. At that point, I asked did the soup have to be made. I was told very rudely, "Wait your turn." So when the lady did get to my order, she simply dipped the soup out of a soup warmer, placed it in the take out container, and said your order is ready. I stood there thinking, "You made me wait 20 minutes, when you could have just dipped the soup from the container and given it to me!!" And to top that, the soup had no flavor!! I've been here multiple times and have never had a problem. The lady up front has always smiled and been friendly to me. However, last night, my daughter found a hair and a BUG in her broccoli chicken. :-/ No one wears gloves or hair nets. I will start off by saying the food here is delicious. However, business professional wise it could improve a lot. I have been a loyal customer for 9 years going here. I have never been greeted when I walk in through the door and the lady's attitude is horrible. Even when calling no one takes a name for takeout or tells you how much your order will be. I work in the medical field with patients dealing with customer service everyday and each one leaves happy. After a while it's uncessary especially if you know that person by heart or anyone who comes through the front door to not be greeted with "Hi" or just to be funky for no reason.
